Then I had my nails done with gel because - gasp- it's terrible to them if you get just regular acrylics, they act like you're insulting them or doing a disservice and are cheap. So the gel looked pretty but it wasn't the shade that I wanted. But my nail tech wasn't feeling well so I just let it slide, the color was still pretty. So it doesn't end there - less than two weeks later my nails start breaking. I went back to get one fixed and even the guy fixing it seemed confused as to why it broke so easily. Obviously they weren't thick enough- that's why! I went back and got them balanced and didn't get gel, the regular polish didn't even look that great but oh well still a lot cheaper than last time. So the other nails broke within the next week one by one. It got to the point to where I just decided the heck with it all and got them taken off- for $15.00 plus tip! This set of nails lasted me about a month roughly. Doesn't get much better than this folks!! I will never go back. A big waste of time and money!

Sam was very generous in the amount of time she spent doing the massage on both my legs and arms. Sam and the team at N-LT nails care about their customers. I had a friend in town and we decided to get pedicures together. After a quick browse on Yelp, I came across Thyme in Grandview. They are fairly new, only opened about a year and half ago, and you can find them in the new development right off of 670 on Dublin Rd. I gave them a call and they were able to fit us both in a few hours later... mind you this was a Friday morning. When we got there we were totally taken back by how big and gorgeous the salon is. Everything is pristine! From the chandeliers and the blue lighting on the ceiling to the massage chairs and nail display, they couldn't have done a better job. We both got just your basic pedicure, but with gel. It came out to about $70 for each of us, not too bad. I love how big their color selection is, way more than what was available at my previous spot. The staff was also very accommodating and did a lovely job. I have no doubt I'll be back!

I'm bummed to update this review with a lower rating but my overall experience at the W Nail Bar…read morehas gone downhill over the last year so it's a fair assessment. In a nutshell, the quality of the work done by the nail techs just isn't up to par. It seems as though they are hiring very green techs and they aren't receiving any training, therefore the quality hasn't stayed satisfactory. This last time the work was really bad. It took two hours for a basic gel mani and then I still didn't receive the full service. I was too shy to say anything or make a scene while I was there, so I waited until after I left. I emailed in to try and get them fixed and even then it then took almost a week of going back and forth, trying to book a new appointment... and they eventually ended up refunding me because they didn't have availability. That then meant that I had to figure out how to get them fixed elsewhere. This happened to my cousin the same exact week but at another location so I have a feeling it's across the board. Not sure if they are growing too fast or what, but it's a bummer. I've been going to either this or other locations for 3+ years, but now it's time to move on. I hope they're able to work it out.
