I came to chapel hair with mainly light balayage highlights & I had the crazy idea to go back to my natural color. First and foremost they're very busy so you have to book out your appointments. Rightfully so, they all do a great job from what I've seen. Parking is available outside of the location. The salon is spacious and they did a great job decorating. The vibe is very relaxed and glamorous. All of the stylist and the receptionist are so kind. It's high-end, I would say. They use products like verb and matrix. Back to my experience- I met Jen and she became my stylist. She does wonderful cuts and the color job she did to restore my natural color is still looking amazing after almost two years! She gave my hair life and dimension. I don't need much maintenance now but she is my go to for haircuts! She is very sweet and knows what she's doing! Basically a blonde pic with a cute bob haircut. She saw the pic. She knew what I wanted. No miscommunication. After all the foils were put in, I decided to shop. So many cute things in that salon. I picked out $50 sunglasses, a beautiful necklace and a $7.50 Tyler candle. I go up to the register and the lady says she would sit those aside until I check out. Fine. No worries. Finally the time came to get rinsed and glossed. Then Dasia says, "I have good news and bad news." I said what the bad news? She said since I booked online, that the haircut wasn't added and she didn't have time to do it. I told her that I didn't book the appointment online, that I spoke with an actual person on the phone. So she suggests that we book another appointment for the haircut as soon as possible. Wasn't happy with that but ok. Then she takes me over to her station and though my hair was wet. I noticed it seemed real dark. She proceeds to blow dry me and complains that my hair is retaining the water and it is taking longer than usual. My hair is finally dried and instead of being a bright blonde like aI have been for 38 years. I am now a mousy brown. She says it makes my hair multi dimensional. I told her this wasn't what I expected and then I felt like I was going to cry. But I didn't. We head up to the register and I'm so disappointed and felt like I looked worse than I ever have. They want to book my haircut that was supposed to be asap but instead they are giving me dates way off in the future. At that point, I just said I will call you back. Then I said how much? I ended up paying $199 and some change for a look I hated. No discount was offered, no apology, nothing. Before I left, I asked to go on and pay for my merchandise. The lady at the register said, oh no, they have already put my items back on the shelf. Another disappointment. At that point, I didn't even want it. A $100+ loss in merchandise for your company. My appointment was at 1:30pm. I left at 6:30 pm. 5 hours to be completely disappointed and crying over how horrible my hair looked as I was driving home. She took a before pic but did not take an after pic. That's how bad it is. Everyone that saw my hair at work today, said they wouldn't have paid. I paid because I wanted to get out of that salon without them seeing me busting into tears. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

I called various salons and they were all too busy, perhaps because I was an out of towner they didn't bother. Anyway, when I contacted B Street they figured out a way to fit me in and I was ecstatic! When I arrived, I was overheated, they immediately offered me cold water and were so super friendly and down to earth. They even offered me some tips for places to visit. My stylist was Kiley, she did an amazing job on my hair, again super friendly and she even gave me a welcome to Savannah gift. Luckily for Savannah residents that want something other than tiger-striped highlights and mom-cuts,............. Color Boxx exists! I moved here from Miami and after 6 months I was in desperate need of a pick-me-up color wise. I had grown out highlights all the way past my chin (the poor woman's ombre) and was ready to switch it up to something more maintainable like a Baliage! I didn't have a stylist to request, so they assigned me one at random and I'm glad they did! Hiromi was so sweet, professional, and a total maven behind the chair! She very intently looked at the photos I brought in for inspiration and gave me honest opinions on how my color would look best for my complexion and the season. Additionally, I had gotten a not-so-hot cut at a chain salon here in Savannah a few months prior that had very blunt and short layers (not my style). With shoulder length hair she was able to blend in the harsh layers WHILE preserving the length I wanted. The color came out fantastic, Hiromi took time and energy into the Baliage using french-technique. I have never had color come out so fantastically on my hair! Literally NO complaints. The prices were fair for an upscale salon, and I received a small discount for living downtown which was very nice. I definitely recommend Color Boxx as well as Hiromi.
