I visited Savannah for my cousins Wedding in December 2021. I decided sort of last minute to get my hair blown out. I called various salons and they were all too busy, perhaps because I was an out of towner they didn't bother. Anyway, when I contacted B Street they figured out a way to fit me in and I was ecstatic! When I arrived, I was overheated, they immediately offered me cold water and were so super friendly and down to earth. They even offered me some tips for places to visit. My stylist was Kiley, she did an amazing job on my hair, again super friendly and she even gave me a welcome to Savannah gift. I live in Delaware but I wish I was local or a regular in Savannah because I would definitely visit your salon again. I highly reccomend B Street, they were the best. I recently moved to Savannah and can finally say I've found my hair salon here. I got my hair cut by Hannah about a month ago and still love it!! I'm probably a hair dresser's worst nightmare because I go in with very little idea of what I want but always have high expectations, and Hannah did such an amazing job! I have been going to B street for almost 4 years now. I am just as happy with my hair and their service as I was the first time I went. Over the years Nick and I have had a blast with my hair!!! We've done pretty much every color of extensions under the sun!!! I couldn't be happier!!! Meg is an absolute dream!!! I book all of my hair appointments a year in advance and she is happy to sit down with me and Nick and work it all out!! She's always happy when I see her and is more than helpful!!! Since I moved to Savannah from Palm Beach about 2 years ago, I've been hard-pressed to find a salon I love. I'd tried a few places around town before giving B Street a shot, & I've found my new place! Compared to a lot of Salons around Savannah, B Street has very reasonable pricing (especially for color--I'm a platinum blonde, so maintenance is very expensive!). Mel Bray did my color, toning and Olaplex treatment & she absolutely crushed it. I haven't loved my color this much in years! It looks lived-in, natural, & I get compliments on it at least once a week. Mel has also cut my hair, & for those of you who have a phobia of even a little trim like I do, Mel will not let you down. She understands, listens to your concerns, & I promise you, you'll leave B Street looking & feeling like a million bucks (& not paying it!). read more

I found myself in need of a new stylist. Having fine hair with natural body waves, liking a low maintenance cut, being a crucial factor, my task wasn't an easy one. As those with fine hair know.....it's all about the cut. Having had numerous bad ones in my life, I knew it was going to be hard. My former stylist was a master at this, however due to lifes circumstances he was no longer an option. I asked around, did some google research, a few names came up with the criteria I was looking for. I decided on Laura @ B Street. Primarily based on reviews relating to cuts...(so yes giving reviews is important). I must say I am beyond "pleased" with her work....I left her chair feeling GOOD! as some of you know, that doesn't always happen with a new stylist, especially the first time. I am originally from Atlanta and had a great salon there that I used to go to regularly. New to Savannah, I decided to try B Street Salon after seeing an ad in a local magazine and checking out their website (which represented the salon well, but was very misleading). My experience at B Street was bad from start to finish. Upon entering the salon, I first noticed how dusty, dirty, and unkempt it was. There was also a smokey odor -- probably from the Mexican restaurant next door. I also noticed that the only patrons in the salon seemed to be middle-aged men and SCAD students. The usual salon demographic (mid-20s to 40 something females) must have already learned their lesson with this place ... they stayed away!! After being escorted to a chair within the salon, I then sat for approximately 15 minutes before being greeted by my stylist. I showed her a picture I found in a magazine (which I felt was a fairly simple blond highlight job) & immediately she acted like she didn't know what to do. She then proceeded to go to the back and pull out a HAIR BOOK, and hold the hair swatches up to my head. I'm sorry, but respectable stylists do not do this!!!! You want the client to feel like they've got things under control & they know exactly what they're doing. This should have been my queue to WALK OUT, but I decided to take a chance. After the stylist finished foiling me, I then sat for about 40 minutes without a single person checking on me or asking if I would like anything!! Just not what I'm used to... Fast forward to the unveiling of my new color ... what a monumental disappointment. Instead of the mane of pale champagne highlights I had requested, I had golden/brassy blond color and still a lot of dark roots remaining! This was a "master stylist", and I had to wonder if this wasn't her first highlight job ever!!! I was so upset with the color, I backed out of the haircut afterwards, fearing that she would only mess my hair up even more. Instead of trying to accomodate me somehow, the stylist just became defensive and tried to argue with me, insisting my hair was fine & exactly what I had asked for. Unfortunately, I still ended up paying for the service ($100 for a partial highlight job). To add insult to injury, I'll have to go somewhere else (probably my regular salon back home) to pay to have it fixed and done CORRECTLY! This place was such a disappointment. If you have high expectations for your hair, then DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE B Street Salon. I went there all through college and never had a poor experience - EVERY stylist who cut my hair did a fantastic job. Now I live in LA......... UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I have been to 5 different stylists out here and NONE of them have done as great of a job as the stylists at B Street and they all cost so much more out here. I just got my hair cut at another place today, and once again I just miss B Street. The haircuts out here have all been worse and too expensive. I wish B Street was out here..... B Street was my saviour during my college years (and if I didn't live across the country, would still be to this day). Attempting to avoid the bathroom haircuts of misled indie art school youth, I once upon a time was recommended to venture down past the library, coffee shops, and boutiques to B Street Salon. Skilled in areas of cut, color, and makeup application, B Street caters to many walks of life... from the tattooed SCAD student, to the sweet ol' blue hairs with their weekly wash & styles. And, if talent isn't enough for you to visit a salon, the atmosphere should push you over the edge. Filling up an old Savannah rail-road style house, sun spills through the windows to make even the most mundane trim a relaxing treat. Oh, and they'll feed you glasses of wine, too. Maybe even a margarita from Juarez, if you're extremely lucky. So, go already... and tell them that ol' bleach blonde Poindexter says "oh, helloooooo!". read more

I'm from Florida and contacted B Street via their email form about making an appointment for hair and makeup for a 30-year vow renewal that my husband and I planned for Savannah. They replied to my request within 8 hours and a phone call later I had an appointment set up. Melanie is a new stylist/makeup artist at the salon with several years of experience at another salon. She asked a lot of questions before beginning my hair and makeup. Very personable and professional. As this was a surprise for my husband, she even kept him at bay while working on me upstairs. Very pleased with the results, as was my husband. She was sweet enough to take pictures of me pinning the boutenierre on my husband. All the ladies were perfectly wonderful and helped make this day so special for me...and my husband. Truly they could have just blown me off, knowing that since I wasn't a local I would not be a repeat customer. However, what they ended up doing was becoming a key player in an important day for me, and since we return to Savanah at least once a year, I'll be sure to schedule a blowout/style just for a treat for me. Best salon ever!!! Every stylist is professional, well trained, and very qualified to meet anyone's needs. I feel comfortable letting anyone cut and color my hair. They carry great hair products and offer other great services like waxing and makeup. This is the only salon to go to in Savannah. My Mom drives from Atlanta to get her hair cut and colored. They also saved my Moms cut and color after a really bad experience she had elsewhere, they even squeezed her in. They always go above and beyond to meet their clients needs. I have been to the salon several times and thought my stylist understood what i liked and didn't. It appears not. I showed 2 pictures, said this is what I want and what i got was butchered. Not remotely anything close and everything I didnt want. They are the most expensive in town and that would be fine, but not for the diaster and disappointment of my last haircut. I will be looking for someone new. Worse is I have a wedding in 6 weeks and there is no way this can be fixed begore then. Buyer beware. read more

When I moved to Savannah B Street Salon delivered one of the genuinely worst hair cuts I have ever gotten in my life. I had a fairly straightforward request for a trim (nothing drastic), and carefully explained what I wanted and what I wanted to avoid with the cut. The stylist was so enthralled with her ridiculous - and might I say ineffectual - Edward-Scissorhands-style cutting technique she completely ignored several worried protests during the sheering process, managing to deliver exactly what I asked her NOT to do. My hair was so butchered it took months to grow out to the point I could go somewhere else and have them give me a better cut. The interiors were dingy and a little tacky, the staff didn't seem very invested in attending to their clientele. I'm frankly surprised the place is still open... read more

Worst experience I've had. The stylist did not listen to what I wanted and the end result was horrible. I've been here once before and had a bad experience as well ...uneven and unfinished, did not even go so far as to make sure she wasn't cutting my baby hairs- which now stick straight out. I went here before I moved to Chicago 8 years ago and loved it. After moving back this summer I gave it a go and still feel it's one of the best salons in the city. I honestly don't understand why every person in the Savannah area is not get their beauty on at B Street Salon. Not only is the building in an awesome location, it's not setup like your average salon. It's like getting your hair done at your friend's house. Super friendly stylists (yes, all of them). Great decor and ambiance. The music was on point. Meter about to expire? They'll feed it for you. Feeling parched? They'll grab you a beverage. Everything about this salon is fabulous. Chelli was amaaaaaazing. It was really obvious that she knew every aspect of what she was doing and what I wanted for my hair. She made me feel very comfortable and I trusted her so much, and my hair turned out beautifully. The shop itself also has an absolutely amazing feel, a great atmosphere. Other salons I've visited in downtown savannah often have a stiff and snobbish feel to them and this was not that case at B Street. Everyone there is insanely professional yet warm. I had a horrible experience here. My color and cut cost me $261. My stylist acted like I was annoying her and didn't talk to me unless I asked her questions. $85 FOR A HAIRCUT??? I didn't even do shampoo or blowdry. I love the cut but can get a cut hi/low lights for that price at LOTS of places.

I recently moved to Savannah and have been looking for someone to do my hair. I am super picky and pay attention to details. I have moved a lot the past few years and so I know it is a challenge to find a good hair stylist. I made my appointment for a blowout/style before doing anything more permanent. Nick at B Street did my hair for my wedding recently, and I couldn't have been more pleased. I had a vague idea of what I wanted, and Nick ran with it and gave me a great updo. He was friendly and fun to chat with while he worked, and he gave me plenty of opportunities to give feedback along the way so it ended up exactly how I wanted it. He also gave me some tips on styling my hair generally while he worked. And he noticed a mosquito bite on my neck and put makeup on it for me so it would't show up in my pictures! Worst hair cut ever...I assumed with the pricing they would deliver the highest quality of service but I was terribly disappointed.

Will never get my hair cut anywhere else from now on!!! Went to B Street on a busy Saturday after another local salon cancelled my appointment at the last minute. Laura was amazing!! I have never had a better haircut and color. Laura knew exactly what needed to be done to manage my super curly hair and changed my color to something I would have never chosen myself, but it was the perfect choice and I LOVE it!!
