Easy to schedule, got in right away after calling. The lady who did my hair was alright. Later realized that she didn't do the framing that I asked for and she didn't take the time to make sure her cuts were even. I'm still finding some strands that are longer than others. Overall just felt like she was rushing, I don't even remember her asking me how I liked my hair before she walked off to the front of the store to check me out. For the price it was okay. Best salon experience ever. I just moved to Savannah, and this salon caught my eye, so I took a risk on a new place and SO glad I did. First of all, Kelly is incredible (she did my color + blowout). I have course, thick, hard to manage hair from mixed heritage, and am used to salons RAKING through my hair, not conditioning it, or complaining about how long it takes to dry. Kelly did not of these things. She thoughtfully detangled prior to shampooing AND detangled again prior to coloring. And, noticing how my dry hair needs specific products, she asked what brand of conditioner I use (Shea Moisture) so she shampooed prior to color because she knows it leaves residue. Her scalp massages were heavenly, and her energy was so sweet. I am VERY picky about my hair color. I want a true, pure, darkest black (NOT 1B) that has ZERO warm tones and she did it perfectly. She was so respectful to my needs. The atmosphere of this salon is professional, but also very casual - like being in a friend's house. I LOVED this aspect of it, but not everyone will. If you are boring and want something commercial, go somewhere else. But if you want good conversation, being at ease and sipping European coffee from a real mug, COME HERE. I left a 15% percent tip, but will be back after payday for a blowout and tip Kelly MUCH more. Highly recommend. read more

Really the best you can get in Savannah. The stylists here are artists, plain and simple. I always walk out feeling like a million bucks, no matter how I feel when I walk in. I wanted to specifically mention their makeup services. Until recently, never had my makeup professionally done, but I was getting dissatisfied with what I've been wearing. I got an appointment with Savannah, and she was great. She told me exactly what she was doing, and why, and how it could work with what I already was doing. She also offered tips for anything I might want to do in the future. I'm sure I seemed like a makeup novice, but she was really helpful. I feel so much more confident now when I do my face. Also, the products are great: I can hardly feel that I'm wearing anything, but the coverage is still good. If I ever have a really important event, I'm going back to see Savannah for a professional touch! read more

Perfect hair for elopement in Savannah! Savannah the stylist is awesome. She did such a wonderful job on my make-up and hair. I was very specific in what I wanted, and she absolutely hit the mark. I wanted a clean look with the make-up since I don't usually wear a lot, but wanted enough to look good for my wedding photos. She did such a good job. Even my fiance loved it, and he almost never likes any make-up I wear. For my hair, she did an awesome updo and placed my veil. The salon is very cute & fun. I had a nice cup of coffee while waiting. Kim washed and conditioned my hair, which felt like a massage, with a short neck rub at the end. She listened to what I wanted to keep about my style and what I wanted to change. She made great suggestions. The cut and style were fabulous & the style lasted 2 Days! I was concerned about not being able to recreate the style, which I didn't, but it still looks great. I like the shampoo & conditioner I bought, which Kim recommended. I love it here! It seems hip in a sort of bohemian way, but all the employees are super nice and down to earth. I do also love that the clientele is so broad... Always an interesting mix of people going through. Hayley is awesome and does great things with my hair. I didn't have the normal hair cutting apprehension when she was cutting my hair, and she was very careful to explain what she was doing and what I needed to do to style it the same way as she was. The salon is located right downtown and adorrrraable. Sabrina did my hair, which hadn't been touched in a year. I gave her a very poor explanation of what I was kind of wanting (I'm pretty indecisive) and she gave me honest feedback, explaining different options and what might work best. Absolutely horrified. I went In for a trim for my wedding. My hair was LONG! To my waist kinda long. And I asked for a trim. Shen she was done it was to my shoulders. NOT TO MENTION IT IS A MULLET. Super short in the front and a small long layer in the back. She thinned my hair out to the point where I feel like I have NONE. I am absolutely horrified to walk down the alter with this hair. I am so upset. It looks like it was chopped by a child. There is so many different chucks cut so many different lengths. Not mention it was SUPER expensive. I asked to take the brass out of my blonde hair and left with ashy gray strands. The highlights she put in looks like streaks. I am mortified and don't even no how to fix this before my wedding. I made my self very clear to her on what I wanted and come out with NOTHING I wanted. So disciplined. Although everyone in there was very sweet I am not happy at all with the results. read more

I've never had my hair dyed professionally before and the only other time I dyed my hair was about a month ago which was a fail for me although Christopher made me feel a little better about it. I came in wanting a little darker blueish green with dark brown roots so my natural hair color could transition nicely into the color. What I got was this bright, but totally awesome green! I gave it a couple days to see if it would grow on me, but it wasn't my style so I texted Christopher and he set me up with an appointment at no charge to go a tiny bit darker, more on the bluer side and gave me the hair color of my DREAMS! The other stylist also bought me a wrap from parkers which I was totally prepared to pay for, but she said not to worry about it :,) I have never felt so taken care of by a hairdresser in my LIFE! I would give 0 stars if I could. I was a client here for 3 years. Savannah did my haircuts and highlights about every 3 months. She is amazing with my fine, blond, volume less hair! So naturally I made an appointment here for a trim and highlights right before my wedding. I called the salon 3 days before my appointment to confirm the time, but a snooty woman told me they had fired Savannah and couldn't tell me the time of my appointment. If I hadn't have called, no one would have told me that my appointment was cancelled. They didn't even offer for another stylist to take over the appointment or to re-schedule. Now it's 2 weeks before my wedding and a complete stranger and new salon will be doing my hair. Terrible way to run a salon. read more

After a wonderful recommendation, I went to Salon Della Vita a few weeks ago to get my hair colored and received one of the best colors I have ever had. Jaime was my stylist and is absolutely wonderful! I wanted my hair to be extremely dark without looking ashy or black. She mixed up a beautiful color and made my hair look beautiful! The entire salon is fantastic. Very friendly on the phone when I made my appointment, very attentive upon my arrival, and an overall great atmosphere. The salon is very eclectic and laid-back. Wanted a really specific cut, so I scheduled an appointment with Savannah after reading several great reviews about this salon. She did an incredible job, tweaking ideas that I had about how I wanted my hair so that they would flatter my face, etc. She even took the time to style big curls into it once she was done. I really wish I could give my experience a much better rating. I specifically chose this salon due to the amazing reviews. All the reviews that I read were for those other than the stylist I had. She may not have as much experience as the other girls previously mentioned. That being said, I showed her the hairstyle I wanted for my event that night. I ended up with something completely different. Her and another stylist tried to salvage it to the best of their ability, but I ended up going back to the hotel and completely taking it down and doing it myself. Hence, $85 completely wasted except for the curls. I don't want to prevent anyone from using this salon since they obviously have some very talented stylists, but I owe it to everyone to be honest about my visit. read more
