We came to beat the bomb for a friend's birthday, we had a absolute blast. Rocky and Braden were super helpful and nice. The games were challenging, but not too hard and the paint splash was unexpectedly fast but we really enjoyed ourselves. I am also so glad that they have a bar here.

We had a blast (pun intended!) at the new Beat the Bomb in South End. It's a unique and fun experience that the Charlotte neighborhood needs for all ages. You can have a group of 4-8 people to work together to complete puzzles and escape rooms. The last room is where you try to "beat the bomb" or you get blasted with paint (or foam - you choose). The staff was friendly, explained everything clearly, and made sure we were all set up before starting. We went with VIP which you got a free shirt, free videos of your game experience, a free drink and appetizer. For all of that its a pretty good price! The signature cocktails were super sweet and sugary, I wasn't a fan, but they do have a full bar. The dips also all came out cold, but the pretzel bites were delicious. Our video footage wasn't sent to us so the staff had to re-download it all onto a USB for us which took about 20 minutes. Overall, I'd recommend Beat the Bomb if you're looking for something exciting or to bring out of town guests to. It's a great addition to the area, and I'll definitely be back!

5/5 My family and I had a great time at beat the bomb! I loved the interactive rooms. The staff was so helpful from the time we walked in until we left. We didn't have dinner but we enjoyed strawberry lemon drops. I would definitely return for a good time

This was a pretty cool spot and we had a lot of fun. There are five rooms in total, and the first four rooms are all about accumulating time for the final mission. You spend about 10 minutes in each room, and the goal is to pass as many levels as you can. Every level you pass gives you extra time for the last room. If you fail the last mission, you get blasted. The final mission felt a little too easy, compared to the first four rooms. Still, it was a fun experience!

Had a great time! I went with family from ages 18-30 and we all had so much fun! We were dying laughing. Staff was super clear with instructions. We did the spooky themed option - the red was easy to wash off in their wash area (make sure to get it off at that time especially if you're doing something after bc it will stain your skin for a bit). I'd absolutely do it again! Can't wait to try their other options.

Lookin like a Missy Elliot vid. Before the foam blast!

SO MUCH FUN! I went with six friends to celebrate my bday. I wanted to do something different. Beat The Bomb delivered! We had to rack up points in four challenges. One was like Mission Impossible trying to get across the room avoiding laser beams! You had to run, think, strategize - teamwork makes the dream work! We chose foam at the end - less traumatizing than paint or slime. They have a bar with GREAT Jell-O shots and strong cocktails!

Came here with coworkers and had so much fun I plan to come back with family soon!! Expected this to be an escape room of sorts, but had more interactive teamwork games which I really enjoyed (my favorite were the lasers).

This was my first time here! Three friends and I played the Paint Bomb Mission. Booking: There's an option to select Slime, Paint, or Foam Bomb Mission. You'll require a minimum of 4 players (6 max) to play. Standard tickets will cost you $44.95 (per person) which includes admission, photos, and a video. FYI - photos/video are taken after you are splashed with paint (if you fail the mission of course). A deposit is required when booking. Facilities: When you enter, a security guard will ask for your ID (FYI - no outside food/drinks allowed). After a certain time (8 PM I believe) it's 21 and up only. Facility was clean and decorated from head to toe. I can't comment on their food and drinks as I ate before I arrived. After checking in your group is to come up with a name (my group - Bumble bees). A single locker was provided for all 4 of us to place personal belongings. When I visited, a DJ was there playing music - created good vibes. Paint Bomb Mission: Wear comfortable clothing and dress light. Before starting the mission, employee mentioned this is not like the escape room = you can walk out the door at any time (need to remove an article of clothing etc.) Certain rooms (Lazer Maze) will cause you to break a sweat. My group played through 4 rooms (Hack Attack, Echo Chamber, Floor Grid, and Lazer Maze) to get to the final room (Cyperbot) where we were blasted with paint!!! The more successful you are in rooms 1 - 4, provides you with more time to complete the final mission in room 5. Before entering the final room, you are provided a hazmat suit, shoe covers and a helmet. I was covered head to toe, not a single drop of paint on me; keep your head tucked and you'll be just fine. After completing the mission, you can just chill and watch the monitors as other groups are completing their missions. People in the lounge can view your group in the final room. Paint seemed to be the most requested; Foam Bomb was WEAK!!! My recommendations: - The music was soo loud inside the building. It was difficult to hear instructions from employees. - Slow down the instructions inside the rooms. They prompt fast and only display once. Would highly recommend to others! Great activity for adults!!

We went to Beat the Bomb on vacation in Atlanta and LOVED it so when they emailed us a promotion for our next visit we had to try the one in Charlotte! I will say overall the experience at Charlotte was more underwhelming and confusing, less clear on the rules and support from the crew than Atlanta. Sadly we did not get our photos back (we got them immediately after Atlanta and it's been almost a day at Charlotte so nothing crazy) and getting in touch with them via phone is impossible so we just have to wait for an email response to get the photos and videos that come with the experience, but other than that it was a great time!

We completed the Paint Bomb with a team of 4 and actually beat our finial game! We still let it explode at the end for fun. Overall was a great experience. Highly recommend!

It was challenging but it is just the one room. You don't escape into another room like I've done in previous escape rooms. Now let's talk customer service. We came in with a 10year old soccer team for a team building event. When I booked they were very nice and knew we would be coming in. Yes they were excited and loud. However, the staff member could have been nicer about it. Especially towards the children. The staff member checking us in was condescending but pretending to be nice. I could tell they were annoyed with us. Another staff member yelled at one of the parents for taking a pic of their time before they left the room after the game was over. As I was leaving I was looking for my kid, she said I'm here mom to let me know where she was. I told her to not be so loud. Then the staff member said in a condescending way "You know you're inside right?" Other than the interaction with those two staff members the kids had fun. I doubt any of the families will return though due to customer service.
