Bearizona is definitely a place to visit as a family especially if you have kids. My family and I went over the weekend and although it was busy, we still had a great time. You can go around and do the drive by to see the animals as many times as you'd like, just make sure you don't leave the premises otherwise you'd be paying to enter again. read more

The staff was amazing from the front entrance all the way to the bear exhibit inside the walking area. The bartender at the restaurant inside the gift shop made us feel at home and comfortable with our order of food and drink. read more

Cute place to go and see, but a little and the high end for price and what you get. Can drive throughout the park multiple times and walk the zoo portion, but if you leave you have to repay to come back in. Good amount of animals and staff at different areas make sure rules followed. Some loops around to see further in some areas. There are a few area to eat inside the walking zoo part and a canyon restaurant. Gift shop and a few photo opportunities with bear statues stuff. For me it was a cute go to once place but wouldn't make the drive again to see it. read more

We were going to skip Bearizona on our road trip since it was a rainy day, but we called to see what the experience would be like, and they told us the animals are quite active in the rain. They were so right! The wolves were so cool and were nonstop playing with each other, running back and forth across the street. The bears were everywhere. I don't think we missed a single animal! When we were finished, it had stopped raining so we went to the walk through area and caught a really cute show, the BZ Wild show, that featured exotic birds and a sassy raccoon. There were grizzlies, badgers, fox and elk and much more to see on your walk. Don't let the rain keep you away! read more

So much fun and well worth the money, I went around the drive through 2-3 times and the walk around areas once all in all about 4- 4 1/2 hours. Would HIGHLY reccomend the day trip, there's a national park camping area and another wildlife sanctuary nearby so I'll definitely be returning for a weekend trip! read more

Bearizona is a fun place to go to with the family! We went here on a holiday and in the evening, and it was pretty dead. This was nice during the drive thru portion of our journey, but when we got to the walking part it seemed dead. Stores were closed and there wasn't a lot of people, in some cases the lack of crowd was appreciated; however, I wish I received the full experience. The animals were super fun and cute to watch. It's definitely a neat experience to get so up close to them. The cost was expensive. 30 or 35 dollars per adult based on the day of the week, adds up to be pretty expensive for a family. However, I understand it is expensive to take care of the animals. read more

We love it here and they are making this place better all the time. The drive thru is one of a kind and so fun. We drive through a few times and always experience something different. We LOVE the wolves and baby bears. You can't beat the baby bear section, they are so funny and playful so be careful! They have been known to go towards cars. BETTER THAN A BIG CITY ZOO! We stopped here on a whim and I'm so happy we did. This is NOT a tourist trap. Plan to spend several hours here to see and enjoy everything. There is an area to drive through and an area to walk through to see the animals. They allow you to drive through the "drive through" area as many times as you want. You can tell that this establishment takes great care of all their animals. It is spacious, clean, and well kept. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The short animal show is educational and cute. We visited the gift shop and I purchased a long sleeve T-shirt and a sweatshirt which were on sale. They are soft, comfortable, and reasonably priced. I was fortunate enough to spend a day at Bear Arizona at Bearizona near William's, Arizona. I had never heard about it before since I lived in a Pacific Northwest. A friend of mine purchased VIP tickets for us. Bearizona is a drive-through animal park and it also includes a very large walking around area to observe beautiful creatures. We arrived early due to the VIP tour leaving at 10. We didn't have a clue what to expect because online it's not explained in much detail. We had a small group and they open the back gate and the first thing we noticed was a beautiful sloth 10 feet in front of us, enjoying the sunshine, the caretakers, who are obviously very well educated on animal care, talk to us about this beautiful creature. Very comfortable and low-key environment where you felt safe to ask questions.. after the sloth, they brought out a beautiful African porcupine, and we actually had pictures taken with him. And then much to our surprise they brought out a 2 pound armadillo. We hadn't even left for the tour yet and I was having more of the best times in my life. We loaded a bus that had all the windows removed. We then drove around the very large drive-through park where a huge drawing point is about 25 beautiful bears that just run around wherever they want. The animals are so healthy looking and you could tell they enjoy their environment. The environment is all natural focused on keeping the animals happy. We saw elk, bear, wolf, and basically everything else you can think of. Most the animals are rescues, and they do not breathe the bears. We were told that there's so many bears out there that need rescued that they don't need to bring more bears to the area. Halfway through the drive-through the tour stopped and we were escorted out and given a really amazing talk about their wolf population and how are they are cared for. I have never seen wolf so close and the animals are not trained to keep the humans happy. The only training we observed to the drive-through was what the vets due to make sure the animals are healthy such as draw blood, give medications or whatever is needed. There is one bear named Coco who does not have the opportunity to roam within the cars because he tends to rip off the mirrors of cars. These bears do not go through the normal hibernation cycle because they are fed every day so there's no need for them to hibernate. Being able to be in the bus and not worry about driving through was wonderful because we'd have to worry about traffic. It is a busy place. We were able to feed apples the bison from the bus. The animals roam anywhere they want and they're given large habitats. Humans stay in the car. I would go back to this place in a second.. once we got back to the main area where you can walk around and see, grizzly bears, elk, Jaguars, otters, and many other things... we walked around and had a wonderful time. There's a very good gift shop and a wonderful restaurant that you could sit at eat and watch the animals. I do not know the price difference between a regular drive-through and the VIP tour. But I can tell you whatever it is it's worth it. Having an experienced professional animal person with you at all times to answer. Any questions is in valuable. read more

Everyone kept talking about how great Bearizona was - and I thought - could this place really live up to the hype? They have you do the drive thru portion first. And we all thought, oh boy. This is not going to go well. We just weren't impressed - we did see some bears out in the distance, etc. but nothing like what folks were talking about. This place really shines once you go to the walking portion of the zoo. You get to really see the animals and my teen boys were thrilled. (well, we all were.) From seeing the bears in the den snuggled up together to seeing the bobcats stalk their area and even set up on the rock (which was an amazing view), we really enjoyed our time in the park. read more

The walk around section is better with more to see. There is a restaurant on site and plenty of beautiful Pine Trees. The petting zoo was nice. The coolest part was seeing the bears up in the trees- I was amazed at how far up they could climb! There are gift shops as well. This place gets a big & happy 5 stars from us. We loved that this is essentially 2 Zoos in one. There is the drive through section, which we found to be very unique. If the drive through part isn't your thing, or you were unlucky in seeing animals through the drive through section, well, there is also the walk through/ traditional Zoo section. Also, if you miss out on the animals during the first drive through, you're allowed to loop right back around and drive through again for free (as long as you don't completely exit the park). We also loved that the walk through section was well shaded by tall trees. North/Central Arizona has great weather and the high temp was only 79 degrees on the mid-June day we were here. The animals here seemed happy and well cared for. This was my first time ever seeing a Grizzly in person. I highly recommend this place and we would definitely return if ever in the area. read more

They have continued to build a loving, beautiful place for their animals and family of employees as well as patrons (restaurant and facilities). Nancy in the wolves section of drive-thru was kind and so knowledgeable about their wolves. If you're traveling with kids this is a must stop. My 7 and 4 year old loved it. We only spent about 2-3 hours here and would have stayed longer but this was only meant to be a quick stop on our way to Sedona. The tickets are pricey ($30 for adults and $20 for kids) but it meant no crowds which we loved. First there is the self drive-thru portion and you can drive as quickly or slowly as you like. Afterwards you find parking and there is the walk-through section with a fun gift shop and themed restaurant on- site with full bar, beer on tap (although slightly flat), and decent food. The main attraction are the bears and they are front and center. For those against zoos this isn't the place for you. For those interested in learning and looking at animals in person this is a nice stop. The animals looked happy. No pacing. Running and playing with each other and enjoying frequent dips in the water/pools. Highly recommend if you're on a roadtrip from LA to Sedona or beyond. It means taking a slightly longer/more scenic route (vs driving on the 10 and cutting through Phoenix) but my kids needed the breaks in between and we're glad we went this route. read more

I love seeing happy animals and the place does not disappoint. They do a lot of animal rescue, too. Best to purchase your tickets on-line. It's quicker to get through the main car entrance. I liked the relaxing drive-thru animal watching route. The animals were very relaxed and meandered at their speed. (Beware of some impatient drivers trying to overtake this beginning drive rushing to get to the parking lot) Part 2 is the "zoo" part where one can view the animals on foot. There is a restaurant, gift shop and bar on premises. Again, I was very happy and lucky to see most of the animals walking about, climbing and doing their "thing". read more

This was my 3rd time to Bearizona and after this experience, I will not return. They allow way more cars through the drive thru portion than they should. Compared to the last previous 2 visits, there are way fewer animals at the park. Previously, they had dozens of bears. This visit, I saw a total of 4 bears and they were all sleeping. Previously, they would put their food near the roadway, which would force the bears to come close to the cars. This visit, there were hardly any bears to see and no food near the roadway. With so many cars and so few animals, it took forever to drive through the park (worse than LA traffic). When someone would see an animal, they would stop their car and then create a very long line of cars behind them that had nothing to see and couldn't move. Definitely avoid this place on a hot summer weekend. Call ahead and ask how many bears they have before you pay $35 per person to see nothing. read more

Bearizona was a nice destination for a day trip. We had a car pass which is a great deal if you take some friends and family up here to visit throughout the year. We drove up on a Sunday and decided to drive through a bit before heading back to park. They had a show around 1130 that we wanted to attend so we went and watched that. It was fun and the animal ambassador/keeper was personable and knowledgeable. We got to see various birds, a raccoon, porcupine, and other animals showcased. Walking around we saw a diverse group of animals, my favorites being the jaguars, leopards, sea otters, bears, deer, and wolves. They had some goats just chilling and several people (including me) got photos with them. It was an enjoyable day and I bought a sticker from the gift shop. I didn't even know there was a walk-through portion, I thought it was just driving. We then drove through again but this time more slowly since we didn't have to rush off to a show. I liked seeing the different animals in their habitats and we even got to see two bears in a tree (separately). I got a picture from the car sunroof and that was really neat, since you have to keep your windows closed during the bear and wolf portion. We came to Bearizona as part of our epic trip where 6 adults and 3 littles travelled to the North Pole via boarding the Polar Express to get handed a bell by Santa. Bearizona is located in Williams, Arizona and is super close to the Polar Express experience...if you're doing that, then Bearizona is a must do! We were pleasantly surprised by how cool this place is. There is an awesome driving portion where you literally drive into enclosures where the animals roam free inside and then there is a walking portion where you can sip a beverage while your kids run along the path, checking out the many animals in their enclosures. We did the walking portion first because after a long drive, we needed restrooms. This worked out really well for us as we were ready to get out of the car. It was great walking around and seeing the animals. It took about an hour and there was lots to see. When we did the car part, we drove into the antelope portion, and one male got into it with another male. They butted horns and there was a clear winner. My little guy turned to us and said, "This is my kind of zoo!" I highly recommend and would definitely come back! #OperationPolarExpress read more

I don't really know how to rate this experience. This was a spur of the moment stop on the way home from a road trip. We still had 3 1/2 hours to go. We saw the sign many times and wanted to have that experience. Seeing the animals was nice but picked up two large screws in my front tire and my back tire. So, after paying $122 for admission, we now have to wait for road service after putting in a claim on line to get tires fixed. No one knows exactly how long it is going to be. And no one mentioned the risk of this happening before entry and only after incident that they are not responsible for any damages to vehicle. I would have been fine if it had been disclosed before hand. So, beware if you decide to visit the park. read more

L-O-V-E-D this place!! You can drive through and see all types of animals to include wolves and bears! Don't stop!! If a bear approaches your vehicle MOVE. Read and obey signs that say to keep windows up if you have pets in your vehicle and in bears area, etc. They are for your safety. You can drive around as many times as you want. They also have an area to park and walk and see other animas well but no pets allowed in there or locked in your vehicles in the parking lot. read more

I am the farthest thing from an animal rights activist but I felt bad looking at some of these animals in their designated areas. They just looked kinda sad. Just adding on to the many 5 star reviews! My husband, our dog, and I visited Bearizona on a Friday morning in mid November. There weren't too many cars ahead or behind us and we never felt rushed. The 2 lane road is one way only, so you can pass by cars that are slower/stopped. You can go around the drive thru as many times as you want before exiting! Since we came with our dog, we had to keep our windows closed the entire time. Otherwise, you can lower your windows until you hit the wolves and bears area. I did hear a staff member tell someone to close their window over a loud speaker. During our visit, snow was gone from the snowstorm weeks ago with the temperature in the mid 30 to low 40's Fahrenheit. All the animals were visible, though some were sleeping! The bears never went on the road, but close enough to view clearly. Afterwards, visit the Bearizona walk thru area which is like a mini zoo with more bears, jaguars, river otters, raccoon, porcupine, elk, deer, and more! There is a large gift shop and eateries with coffee and alcohol. I'd highly recommend checking out Bearizona which was the highlight of our trip! read more
