We LOVE this place... I've been here at least a dozen time and I'm sure I'll go back a dozen more! Suggest their pulled pork sand, brisket, corn bread, chili is good but it's changed flavors so you just have to try it. Ribs are amazing! The owner chris is so nice read more

best bbq in New Jersey hands down. prices are good and food is great brisket and Mac and cheese are a 10

Stopped in after a golf round. Thought the BBQ was solid, unfortunately it didn't blow me away. I felt like there wasn't enough smoke or seasoning. I got the brisket sandwich with mac and cheese and coleslaw. Brioche bun was a great touch, thought it went really well with the beef. Happy for the folks here that they are growing and the staff was wonderful. read more

Finally, a worthy BBQ truck! Should have known from the long lines this place routinely generates. The brisket is moist and tender. They use high quality cheeses for grilling with a good amount of brisket. It's expensive but in a food truck kind of way. Since the brisket is good, I'll come back for the rest. read more

Everything in this place is everything (pulled pork) but those baked beans !!! I know it's a side dish but that side definitely tells why this bbq is boss. Just find it and go (route 33west) and feel the love. read more

Been here twice now. My first time was alone and I found the brisket meat and Mac and Cheese to be very good. Was so happy that I returned with friends and things were not that great. Don't take me wrong, I like the place and will probably return but comments I got from my second time there with friends follow. The Mac and Cheese I touted to my friends that was so good my first time there, it had very little of any of the three cheeses. Why? Don't know but feel stupid having paid for basically Mac. We got pulled pork sandwiches. They were good but there was what we all thought, too much fat mixed with the meat. And finally, two of us got cold slaw. Well....it's just that....dry, cut cole slaw. Don't even consider getting. Practically no flavor....felt dumb paying so much for no flavor. One of us did get the brisket sandwich and just like my first time there....it was delicious so my buddy said Off day perhaps? Well, just don't get the cole slaw and think twice on the Mac and Cheese. So there are three stars for the place when had I written it based on my first time there, there probably be 5. Will update after my next time. read more

Great food truck by the side of the road. I swung in real quick after seeing it and reading some reviews. I ordered by the container: a 1/2 of pulled pork, a 1/2 of brisket, a 1/2 of beans, a 1/2 of coleslaw. My favorite was definitely the baked beans. They were sauced well, sweet, and spicy. These were probably the best beans i've ever had at a bbq place. I'm not sure if they add jalapeno or not, but i loved the spice with the sweetness. Next would be the pulled pork. It was moist and packed tight in the container. There isn't as much flavor, but that's cause they don't lather it with sauce. They do give a small container of bbq sauce with each order and it's pretty good to dip in. The brisket i thought was a little dry. I had read that in an earlier review but decided to give it a try. My wife liked it more than I did. I think it's regular brisket vs fatty brisket which i normally prefer. The coleslaw was the worst and i wouldn't order that again. The cabbage was sliced too thick and i guess it's pretty fresh so it wasn't soggy at all. The mayo was light so i felt like i was eating straight raw cabbage. read more

Wow....major disappointment. Heard amazing things about this place but hugely saddened. Ribs: Appearance - 8. They looked good but a little dry looking. Texture - 4. Crazy dry. Bad dry and tough. Bummer!!! Taste - 5. Would probably be better if it wasn't so difficult to eat them. Tough and dry killed the flavor. Pulled pork: This saved the dinner! Looked good, tasted good, and texture was good. Overall, a 7.5 Pulled chicken sandwich: slimmy meat, extremely shredded, but decent flavor. Overall, a 6. Mac and Cheese: simply average. Tasted like a grocery store serving. Overall, a 5. We were hoping for 10's as the family LOVES BBQ!!! I might try again as maybe it was an off night for them but I do feel like we wasted our money. read more

Brisket sandwich was all fat and not meat. Completely inedible and seemed to be from other leftover cuts. Would not recommend paying their hard earned money. read more

Amazing food and crew! I love it! Let's support local businesses! They have a lot of options to choose from

I've been dying to try this place since passing by it frequently. Ive noticed since covid there is way more business! We came at a great time, promptly placed our order. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and a side of Mac and cheese and also the pulled pork grilled cheese and pulled pork burger. I loved the brioche bun on the pulled pork sandwich! The pork was dry unfortunately and it didn't have a lot of bbq sauce, I loved the flavor of the sauce just wish there was more of it. The pulled pork burger was way over cooked unfortunately. I really enjoyed the Mac and cheese! It was really creamy and a flavorful seasoning. The pulled pork grilled cheese was good but I wish it was sliced cheese not shredded. All together it was 40$. We sat in the seating area which was so nice. Picnic tables and umbrellas and it's fenced off, perfect for nice weather! read more

This hidden gem is not only the only BBQ place in town, but if I was going to be a beating man it will be a staple of the community for years to come. The food is absolutely delicious and comes out quick. The guys in the truck are extremely friendly and personable. Everything I have ate from there did not disappoint! I have family in N.C., my husband lived in the south. I have friends in Texas, Tennessee and in all important BBQ cities. I have NEVER found a jersey BBQ spot worth visiting twice. Until now. There's a reason there's a line everytime I roll up here and it's bc it's just that dang good. Perfectly cooked brisket, masterfully entwined ingredients and flavor that needs at least 4 napkins to wipe off your mouth! A must visit! read more

First things first is the wait time. The guys there are super nice and will prepare your food in under 10 minutes. Overall great vibe and customer service. Genuinely the best bbq i've tasted. read more

Was this an "off day" or....? I'm honestly not really sure if people writing these reviews have completely destroyed their palates via cigarette smoke and sugary drinks, but the food I had was absolute terrible. I would go as far to say the people that patroned this establishment were inebriated. Or maybe perhaps just don't know any better, so were gonna go with the latter. I believe there is an assumption that comes into play where you presume that food trucks produce quality, great tasting things to eat, that are fun and enjoyable well let me tell you, this is not the case here. Lets start. Me and my friend both had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich with hickory smoke sauce, and bacon which i guess they forget to put on because it was in neither of ours. Next lets focus on the pulled pork which is obviously what we're here for. The pulled pork was dry. When we took our bites we both looked and each other and gave acknowledgement that something wasn't right. When you eat pulled pork you want something with a little bit of (dare I say this because it will make people cringe) moisture. This had none of that, in fact my friend found a bone in his. As far as taste goes, I couldn't really tell you because the dryness overpowered any flavor of Hickory smoke that was put in. On a plus side the brioche bun that in came in was quite tasty and if the protein was more flavorful (and moist) I think it would have been a match made in heaven. Overall there is tons of better BBQ in the state of NJ and if you are passing this place via road trip or wherever I would say look elsewhere because there is much better BBQ to be found. read more

Was driving by and noticed smoke in the air, as I got closer, noticed it was a Smoker on the side of the highway and a food truck behind it...figured it has to be good BBQ right!? RIGHT! Ordered 3 tacos...Pulled Pork, Chicken and Brisket...usually can't order that way, you have to pick 3 of the same but the guy was nice to accommodate since it was my first time and I wanted to try em all! Excellent flavor on all the meats...I rank it Pulled Pork, Brisket, Chicken, tacos come with pico de gallo and cheese...devoured them quickly! Pre-order Ribs only available Thursday and Saturdays (Call before you go a day before) Will definitely go back! read more

Outstanding. Fantastic food. My only regret is not checking this place out sooner. We had the brisket which was exceptional (sandwich for me, tacos and quesadillas for the kids). The wings were a unique flavor and absolutely devoured. Can't wait to come back! read more

This is authentic smoked BBQ. Not a machine induced smoke, this is real deal. Although the ribs have a bit more of a fat cap in them than I care for, the smoke and tender delicious meat underneath has a smokey flavor and is tasty. The dry rub is very flavorful and worth buying. If your a DIY person. Their Apple Jalapeno Head Country sauce is amazing, I mean one of the best sauces I've tasted in all my bbq travels. The ribs are good, but their smoked brisket and pulled pork are even better. An excellent sandwich and shady picnic area make this place a gem for BBQ fans. Please "Bearded One" dont change a thing. read more

This is the best barbecue in Central New Jersey hands down. The brisket, wings, and ribs happen to be some of the best smoked meats I have ever tasted in NJ. Was driving home on 33 and passed by this place. There were lots of cars pulled up on the side of the road. I hit the U turn because I said if that many cars are there it must be good! That was the first time I went to Bearded one BBQ. i ordered pulled pork, pulled chicken sandwiches and a pulled pork tacos. They were all delicious! I also ordered the macaroni and cheese and was surprised at how tasty it was. The baked beans was delicious also!! I ordered the coleslaw but I wasn't a fan of it. Yesterday I stopped in again but they had just closed! I begged to see if they had anything left for me to buy and they had a rack of ribs. I happily took it and headed home with it. We ate it along with the sauces they provided and I'll say the ribs were incredibly delicious! The outside was crispy but the inside was juicy!! I'll be a regular customer moving forward! This place definitely rivals a rib joint I visited in Charlotte NC! Chris and crew are a welcome treat!! read more

I only ordered a brisket sandwich a couple weeks back and I'm still dreaming of how delicious and satisfying a sandwich that was. Unlike most brisket from other bbq places, it's often dry and chewy. You'd need to put on bbq sauce to make it palatable! Not here! It was tender and so flavourful, even without sauce! It just so happened when I came, there were about to close and I ordered what was left. I actually wanted pork ribs. It wasn't the largest sandwich, nor was it inexpensive though. It was about $9 for one sandwich. I would spend that much again and again! The food truck also makes appearances at local food festivals, so check the schedule. Can't wait to come back and try more bbq at the Bearded One! read more

Incredible brisket and pulled pork!!! Great service and love the patio area!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic. I tried a bite of my wife's quesadilla, and wow- I'm getting that next time. Jalapeno bacon burger was delicious, not as spicy as I was expecting, but still really good. I loved the rub on the apple wings, I ate a few without the sauce it was so good. BBQ beans are a little weird, but not bad. Spicy. Kiddo loved the grilled cheese and asked for seconds on the mac. Everything was great, 5 stars all the way. read more
