John the Brewmaster maked some fine tasty beers! I did the flight and enjoyed the Winter Ale. Great looking cans too.

This is what craft brewing is about and what a gem of a brewery to quench your parched throat. The Juniper Plight of Ullr is such a wonderful surprise. And Chair 5 is simply the yummiest red malty ale. The brewmasters take such care in their craft and to top it all off, the ambiance is so cozy and inviting. Feels almost as if you have come home to your favorite comfy spot.

This place rules! Great beer. Friendly staff. Light, bright and airy tasting room. Games and toys for kids of all ages (aka very family friendly). Sparkling clean washroom. What else could you ask for?! Stopped in for our first visit after a tasty Mexican lunch across Main Street in Jimtown. (Apparently you can bring in to go food with your brews if you prefer - solid option.) I opted for the imperial stout, the hubs had the Vienna lager, my dear friend had an IPA, and her daughter enjoyed a hand crafted green apple soda. We played a raucous round of Cards Against Humanity and had the best time. Already kicking myself for not buying some merch, which includes t-shirts and hats (although the hats were sold out today). They also offer crowlers to go. Our first and certainly not last visit to Bear Tent!

We were staying in Sonora, but wanted to try another brewery local to the area. Bear Tent popped up in my Yelp search. After getting beat up on the slopes of Dodge Ridge, we drove here to wind down. Never been to Jamestown before, it's very cute. I'd like to explore more of the shops someday. Found some free local parking. The brewery is very clean, a really nice man working the counter took our order. We opted for a beer flight and loved every single beer. Walked away with two crowlers. We enjoyed our flight outside in their patio area. I do believe we'll be going back here, because they are changing out the taps, gotta taste more of this delicious beer.

The 4 adults and 3 kids seated outside with me ordered right before me but were served within 10 to 15 minutes. The server was pleasant and attentive to them. They were basically done eating and another server literally tossed my cold tacos onto table. He was really sweaty and abrupt. The tortillas were stone cold and looked like they must have been cooked at some point because they had brown char marks on them . The chicken was cold and dry cut into cubes with some reddish powder so they may have been moist at some point. There was some white sauce drizzled on them that looked like it had just been applied since it had not soaked in at all. The $5 guacamole was a table spoon at most. The salsa even less. The handful of chips were generic and stale tasting. I asked him if I could get some water since I drank my beer already since I had been there over 40 minutes. He dismissed me abruptly and pointed at sign on table to order online. He left . I was in shock. I was so excited to stop here on way home to San Francisco. The tacos were dreadful. I don't even know how to describe. Cardboard with freeze dried chicken cubes maybe. Food F, Service F, Beer B. Treatment of Senior Citizens F-.

Fortunately, we remembered passing a sign for Indigeny Reserve and saw on the map that it was within walking distance. Since it was already after 3pm and they closed at 5pm, we decided to drive over and make the most of our afternoon before they closed. When we walked in, the building was empty, but we were eager to try a cider tasting. Browsing the shop, we found a variety of merchandise--shirts, hats, sweaters, and an assortment of cheeses, crackers, chips, and other tasty treats. Eventually, a friendly staff member greeted us and offered the $10 tasting. Since closing time was approaching, she joked about giving us paper cups to avoid running the dishwasher. We didn't mind, but she kindly served the cider in glasses, which made the experience nicer. She also offered a whiskey tasting in a cool room lined with barrels and tables, plus gift boxes and other products. The whiskey tasting was just $2, with three varieties to sample. I'm not much of a whiskey fan, but I appreciated that she wasn't rushing us out. Both of us loved the Blackberry cider, so we each ordered a glass to enjoy outside. The outdoor area is expansive, with wooden benches, tables, and lawn chairs scattered across a grassy lawn overlooking a large vineyard. Only a few couples and families lingered--likely because of the early closing time. After relaxing with our ciders, we wandered down the trail to the lake. Along the way, we discovered old barns, a whimsical gnome area, and several upside-down boats tied up near the shore. If the boats hadn't been secured, we joked about taking one out for a row on the lake! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Indigeny Reserve and, in retrospect, wished we had brought the teens along. Still, it made for a wonderful little date.

However, I Visited on Mother's Day with my daughter and sister and had a completely different experience. I have a gluten allergy, one daughter has gluten sensitivity, and my other daughter has celiac disease. We informed our waitress that we needed gluten-free options and were told they were out of gluten-free buns but had gluten-free sourdough. After double-checking, the chef confirmed it was gluten-free. Something didn't seem right, so we asked to see the packaging. Wheat was listed as an ingredient. Thankfully, we caught the mistake before eating it. Unfortunately, when our food arrived, two of the gluten-free meals were still served with gluten-containing items, including a flour tortilla and the same bread we'd already identified as not gluten-free. The food itself was actually delicious, and I wish I could leave a more positive review based on that alone. However, for anyone with celiac disease, a gluten allergy, or a serious gluten sensitivity, accurate ingredient information is not optional--it's a health and safety issue. The repeated errors from both the kitchen and serving staff were extremely disappointing and left me with little confidence in their ability to safely accommodate gluten-free guests.
