I was in there last week and asked him if they had cayman jack sugar free margaritas and he is all its right in front of your face! I let it slide because maybe he was having a bad day but still you dont need to be RUDE! Today I looked all over and then adked when I got to the register. He was sleeping standing up. He said probably not asked the girl she went to look. Now 2 other customers come in and I ask is he has tall boys okay in a diffent spot. I go there and again he says right in front if your face so Im like why you gotta say it like that? Crickets.... So he says 4th shelf on the far right. I tell him thats all budweiser and never mind. I walk back up to pay for my other stuff and he had the odasity to walk over there and gestures 1 2 3 4th shelf. Im like never mind, you lost a customer talking to me like that. Right in front of my face up yours! And I walked. You dont want my hundred bucks thats fine by me. I can get my twins beer and patron cheaper at the grocery store. Im not paying to be insulted. House made cole slaw was very rich in mayonnaise and disappointing as was the mac and cheese which was baked thoroughly. Sides generally are a reflection on the chef and my average rating reflects how underwhelmed I was with my meal.

She has a nice selection of beer and local wine, otc medicines, veggies and fruits, veggie starts (and gardening gloves to go with). She's not only friendly and inviting, but knowledgeable of both her business' origins and the town. I always look forward to going in and chatting. Little young kids in fact and now have been running the store when Dad's not there and have done a fantastic job. I appreciate this store because they are always helpful to the community care about the community. Love the community. That's a family to me. It's not the business. The place that I just go to buy something and leave. We talk about life but this past Saturday was love. Oakdale and they made a donation to the cause with water I walked in. Asked if they wanted to do a donation to Love Oakdale for the house project we were doing and without question. Jesse said yes!! I've been a couple cents short. Maybe even a couple of dollars short on occasion. No problem. I am a familiar face. They are a fantastic family. Excellent service! We have fun, especially with little Harry, but I consider myself a part of their family and it's an honor. If you're passing through Oakdale pass through say hello. The interior of Cask & Barrel has an upscale type of vibe with a black slate style stone and some fun accent colors throughout. Everything is organized very well which makes it very easy to find the type of alcohol you seek. In my opinion, it is easier to find different types of alcohol here than the local competitors of similar size. There is a wine cellar with glass walls which make viewing from the floor pretty cool. There is an area in the back called "The Wine Bar" where the staff will begin offering wine tastings. You can sign up with your email to be notified of tasting dates. There is a beer grotto, which is a walk-in fridge so you can pick out a case of cold beer. Near the beer gratto are two large screen TV's playing different sports games. If you need ice, they have a very large freezer. There is a small open fridge that contains several different cheeses to pair with your wine. On your way out, you will find four registers at the front. If you like cigars to go with your liquor they have a small selection at the front counter. Pricing is on par with other local competitors. Not sure if it was due to my visit being during opening day, but there were plenty of employees working behind the register and on the floor. We were asked if we needed help when we walked around.
