We came here after our trip to Kings Canyon National Park. We called to order ahead and was told it would take 35 minutes to make. But our pizza and garlic cheese bread was done when we got there in 20 minutes. There were a lot of people in the restaurant for the weekday, so they do seem to get pretty busy. We ordered a Grandpa sized pepperoni and pineapple pizza and an order of garlic cheese bread. The pizza hit differently for everyone. Some said it was bland and the crust was a little hard. I liked the crispy bottom, but agree that the sauce wasn't the best. The pizza was very cheesy as well as the garlic bread. Overall, the food was pretty good, though nothing was spectacular. There is plenty of outdoor patio and indoor seating and then also picnic tables outside.

Couldn't have asked for a more satisfying meal after our hike in Sequoia Nat'l Park. Super causal pizza place where you order at the counter and then find a booth/table. They do have a couple of booths that seat 6-8 and other smaller tables available as well. I paid $51 for a 16" Black Bear (combination) pizza and two orders of teriyaki wings. The pizza came out within 15 mins. It was delicious! The crust was crispy on the bottom and pillowy soft on top. The amount of toppings were generous. Our wings came out wayyyyyy after our pizza though. So much so that I was going to go to the counter to cancel the order but then they finally came out. However by that time, we had already finished eating. That was a bummer but overall we did enjoy our pizza. They have a little self serve station for condiments and to go boxes which I appreciated. I would definitely be back to try some of their other offerings, like the apps and sandwiches.

Visited for lunch when heading to kings canyon. Quick and easy to order, clean and cozy seating inside with television. Outside seating also available. Pizza was great with fresh ingredients and cooked just right for our liking - little crispy on the bottom but still normal thickness. Looks like they also have some sandwiches and lunch specials, as well as fresh baked cinnamon rolls and cookies!

Great place for pizza around the area. Prices were very reasonable and the pizza was very fluffy crust and looked great. Inside was clean and they have random little charging stations for items.

Came to Bear Mountain Pizza for lunch mid-week. It was not busy and we were kindly greeted when we arrived. I ordered a 8" polar bear pizza and my friend ordered a 8" pepperoni pizza. Both pizzas were made fresh and delicious. We also tried their huge homemade cinnamon rolls! If you're in the area, Bear Mountain Pizza is the perfect lunch stop.

Good pizza with a crunchy bottom. Salad I would skip it was just bagged greens with a few added toppings.

After a long drive from Pinnacles National Park to the Sequoia and Kings Canyon area, we ended up…read moreat Grant Grove Restaurant because it was one of the only nearby places to eat close to Stony Creek Lodge. By that point, honestly, we would probably have eaten tree bark with ketchup if someone had served it with confidence. The food itself was decent, though nothing especially memorable. We had a salad, a bowl of chili, and a chocolate cake. The chili was probably the standout of the meal, comforting after a long day on the road. Everything else was fine, solid, and exactly what you would expect from a national park restaurant just waking up for the season. What stood out much more than the food was the effort of the staff. The restaurant had only recently reopened and was clearly not fully prepared for the season crowds yet. There seemed to be only one host, one overwhelmed server, and a couple of busboys trying to hold the entire operation together with determination and caffeine fumes. Service was slow, but honestly, it was not because anyone did not care. Quite the opposite. The staff was genuinely kind, patient, and trying their absolute best under pretty chaotic circumstances. You could clearly see there was not enough training, not enough systems in place, and simply not enough people. Still, they stayed friendly and professional throughout, and we genuinely appreciated that. The real magic of the experience was eating outside on the patio surrounded by the woods. The views and atmosphere completely carried the evening. There is something special about sitting among the trees, breathing mountain air, and finally relaxing after hours of winding roads through the parks. Overall, come here more for the setting and the experience than for gourmet dining. The food may not change your life, but the scenery just might.

Our dinner takeout consisted of cheeseburger, chicken sandwich and chicken salad sandwich wrap. All items came with one side and we ordered the pesto pasta salad which was really quite excellent. The cheeseburger and all the ingredients they put on it including their special sauce really hit the spot and my son said the chicken sandwich was tasty and delicious. The chicken salad wrap was a different version consisting of grilled chicken pieces along with variety of vegetables. For breakfast the three of us ordered the hikers breakfast which consisted of two scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and your choice of either pancakes or French toast. The breakfast really hit the spot and everything was done just right. I especially appreciated the Bacon which had been degreased. The two pancakes were huge and we were not able to finish them but they had a really nice flavor to them. The hashbrowns were the only thing that could've been improved upon and that would have been by having them been more crispy. The one thing I wasn't particularly pleased with was the ordering system where they use the kiosk system as you would find at McDonald's. You notify them whether you're going to be takeout or eat in and you designate which table you're sitting at and they bring the food to you once prepared. This system clearly cuts down on manpower and can be very efficient based on the skill of the user. I complemented the manager on the quality of the food and was told by an employee at a neighboring shop that they got a new chef this season and the food was much better. Who's doing this

But there was something we had not considered, we were going to be going to a place that required us to be fresh and ready to receive the wonder of place by a lack and we only had the energy for an angry stop at a gas station. So this place I visited when I was tired and that kind of gunked up the experience. If I would have gone with more energy to fully open my eyes than this experience would have been wondrous. When I booked the reservation I did it because it was a place by a lake. I enjoy water front dining and I usually use an ocean for scenery and today I was in a place where I could use a large creek. And since I was not going with any specific expectations that lake hit me like a bucket of wow. I remember like seeing the mouth of the lake going down like actual rocks. Like I was seeing the waters that people raft on with commitment to the outdoors. It felt like I had traveled into a place where trees were purest, bird melodies were the only noise in town (besides the water running in the creek), and cabins belonged to those who called the mountains home. I was in a novel and for some reason I felt like it was written by Twain. And that is really what I can say about this place. That is mostly what I remember the beauty of the creek. I wanted to spend more time there, I could have walked it, they had like a lounge but I did not. But I do remember the forested view that went on, and the roaring, jagged leg being a central character other than that I have small things to say. I remember the salad being ok. Denise and I shared a dish, I can't remember why but we did not eat the whole thing. It was inherently bad. But this could have been an off night, or just not the dish of the place, and really you go here for the lake, and the food was great in some ways just not in this specific way. I went to this place a few weeks ago, and, if I had not make it clear I remember the experience of being with the lake. So go here for that experience and let the rest just fall into place.

The service is GREAT, everyone is kind, helpful, and hustling. They work really hard, from the folks tossing the pizza to the people cleaning tables. The food came out quickly and it was hot and DELICIOUS. My friend got a mini Hawaiian, and I got a mini Factory Special (think Supreme-style pizza). We also got the 10 piece wings--delightfully spicy! They have different flavor options though. They have a wide array of beverage options, fun movies or sports events on their TV, and a bunch of fun arcade games and coin-operated toy machines. Ample parking is available in front, plenty of seating inside and outside. We're happy we could stop there, so check it out for yourself!

We ordered a cheese pizza, salad bar access, and a Greek salad. The pizza was the highlight: the cheese was baked to perfection--golden brown, a little crispy at the edges but not dry--really delicious. The salad bar was adequate with a choice of iceberg or spinach and a selection of toppings. My main issue was the Greek salad: it was advertised with romaine but arrived with iceberg. When I politely pointed this out to a server, I was told they never have romaine. There was no offer to replace the salad, refund, or even a real apology. That lack of effort to correct a mistake was disappointing. Overall, great pizza and a just what you expect from a pizza place, but customer service could use improvement when things go wrong. I'd still come back for the pizza, but hope staff handle mistakes more proactively next time.
