We visited this establishment on 10/27/24 and it didn't disappoint. We come to this place each time we come down from visiting Jennie Lakes Wilderness. The pizza here is great and the staff is nice. They come to your table quite often to make sure you're doing okay and to check if you need refills on your drinks, which is rare for a pizza place. I've only ever had the pepperoni but I'm completely happy with that as it is VERY cheesy and delicious. We had a large group with many kids and staff was patient and polite, especially after one staff member had to leave the register to serve ice cream for 8 kids! I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. read more

Well First Of All I was looking for some good eats in Dunlap CA and I drove pass Bear Mountain Pizza and wanted to Try it so bad because I Love Pizza and wanted to see how good it was !!! First I called in to place my order and I got there 14 Inch Pizza Combo and it costs 22.99 but it was cooked well and flavor was bursting out and I say it tasted so dang good !!! For a pizza place in Dunlap CA !! I do suggest you give it a try !! The young lady behind the counter was nice and she showed great Customer Service !!! There are tables and chairs for you to dine in also !! We got the Cinnamon Roll also and I do suggest you heat it up before you eat the Cinnamon Roll but it was so delicious too !! It's one pizza place I highly recommend and you will enjoy it !!! Parking is no problem and I can see myself coming back if I happen to be in Dunlap CA !! Delicious pizza. But: Rude /terrible customer service from the older brunette behind the counter. Visited on 8/8/22 around 6pm. The lady was just rude from the look on her face to her attitude. Love stopping here for pizza. Family friendly. Pizza is delicious. Wait is a bit long but worth it.

You must stop here before or after your visit to Sequoia Park. You can call in your order and dine there or take it to go. If you order once you're there it will take a while. The sitting is also limited since it's a small place. Service is good, they are always busy but everything is nice and clean. The pizza is great! They have lots of topping to choose from. My favorite is Pepperoni pizza extra crispy. read more

This is one of the few places to eat in the area and they were slammed. Everyone was very nice and helpful. They were clearly understaffed and did the best they could with the amount of guests they had to attend to. It did take awhile to get our food, but the pizza was great and worth the wait. Decent place , we always hike and come back to eat here , I've tried it a couple times and though they do take a long time the food is good but the quality of service is bad. On Sunday 8/4 me and my gf came down exhausted from a backpacking trip ready to eat and they took a whole hour for them to realize they haven't even started our food. We noticed when the customers behind us received their food first. Wasted a whole hour of our day. When we brought it up , they didn't even know about the order , they forgot or messed up, it wasn't even that busy like other days, just 4 tables occupied. The more mature blonde lady is awesome , seems like she's the only one working there , has urgency and asking customers what they need, props to her she's great. But the issue seems like it stemmed from the young crowd up in the kitchen. Gentlemen with the cowboy hat messed up our order , and the manager with piercing had to step in , fix the payment method and still failed to deliver. They all seem to mess around and talk (kitchen and front desk staff) , no sense of urgency, no one takes their job seriously there accept the more mature woman. Just a lot of kids there for the paycheck, and confirms all the other negative reviews. It's a pizza place I don't except top service , but a whole hour just to realize they haven't started your food.... Yeahhh. Won't be returning , as for anyone else curious about the location , if you value your time and are short on it I'd avoid this place, but if you have all day, go for it, the food is good and place is cozy. read more

Restaurant choices in the area are slim so I'm happy to report that despite not having much competition that this restaurant is doing it right. You order at a counter when you walk in and then the pizza is brought to your table. Soft drinks are self-service. The prices here are insanely cheap. $11 for a large pitcher of microbrew beer? Yes, please! If it weren't so late when we arrived after a day in the national parks, we would have stayed longer and had a second pitcher. We ordered two of their pizza specials...$12 per 14" pizza! And the pizza was great. Our party of 5 thought we would be taking some home when we ordered, but we ate it all. Somehow even with a tip, we got our party of five out of here for less than $60. After one night of camping for inexperienced campers, we were in dire need of a hot served meal. The closest thing to us was Bear Mountain Pizza, not like you'll have a ton of options when you've ventured all the way out here. A seemingly unassuming stop for pizza, auto parts and servicing. With that kind of header we weren't expecting too much from this wheel. Lo and behold, this $14, 12 inch pizza was everything and more. We stand corrected, looks are deceiving and the people of Squaw are holding onto some REAL good pizza. It's about a 25 minute wait once ordered, because THEY MAKE IT FRESH, and once you get a slice of that heavenly bread wheel, the smell of cheese and the delicious pepperoni grease will make your mouth promptly salivate. Oh yeah, we got a basic 1 topper, pepperoni and cheese pizza. We didn't think we needed the 12 inch, but between the both of us. We finished the whole pie in one sitting. Super yummy pizza for a decently priced sized wheel, would totally come back! read more

Love this place! I eat here at least twice a week. They even have anchovies! No skimping on toppings, edge to edge whether an individual or a Giant. Their pride in the products shows. Employees are the best. Prompt friendly service and great camaraderie between employees. I carry a pizza hot bag in my car "in case" I need to pickup a pie on my way back from Fresno town. (45 min drive) Best pizza you can get anywhere on the west coast since the Northlake Tavern in Seattle closed this year. (No brag, just fact.) Try the Pastrami Sandwich. I was recently in Squaw Valley at my grandmother's house and didn't feel like cooking. The restaurant options up there are pretty limited but I'm very glad I came across Bear Mountain Pizza. My phone reception wasn't great when I tried to phone in my order but eventually got through. The menu looked very appetizing! I ordered a Polar Bear (chicken with garlic pizza) and then a pepperoni which they had on special. When I drove to the location, I was instructed to pull into their drive-thru line (this was in the midst of COVID-19 and rather convenient). I drove up, paid, and then parked in the lot as my pizzas were being cooked. The restaurant has ample parking and was on the main drag of Squaw Valley. Not much else was going on but I was able to walk around a bit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. I wasn't able to go into the actual restaurant so can't comment on that. The pizzas were brought out to me and I was excited to try them out. My family and I loved them both - especially the Polar Bear, yum! They were both flavorful and ample. I am glad to have come across this place and hope to try them again the next time I'm in Squaw Valley! read more

Amazing service, everyone is so nice and helpful. We ate there three times and the pizza, wings, spaghetti and chicken tenders were delicious. Make sure you call before with 25 minutes so they can get your order ready. Covid: they all wear masks and make you sanitize. They have a few tables outside under some pine trees. The tables are like 12 feet apart. If you need to use their restroom (customers only) they ask you to use a mask and use the provided hand sanitizer. You will most likely eat Bear Mountain due to the fact that you are near the national park and it's one of the only options for pizza. The crust was sour I couldn't get past that to actually enjoy the pizza. It over powered the sauce, cheese, and toppings that made up the pie. The crust was also thick so every bite was the sour crust along with the toppings. They need to put smaller amounts of yeast in the dough or stop allowing so much time for fermentation. Once the dough issue is fixed they should add more sauce to their pies to balance out the dryness of the crust with the rest of the ingredients. read more

It was our last night at Sequoia RV Park and we were hungry for pizza. Man were we happy to find this place. The girl at the counter treated us like her best friends. Helping us to figure out what would be the perfect pizza for us. We sat down and in about 10 minutes our pizza was on the table, piping hot and done just right. She was right, it was full of love. When we were finished we went up to the counter to say just how good it was and we were met by another worker who began to tell us some really goofy dad jokes and we left after 5 or 6 jokes with full bellies and smiles on our faces. read more

We went on a Saturday afternoon in Spring, so they were pretty busy. As such the pizza took awhile to arrive at our table, but it was piping hot and quite tasty when it did.
