    Hollywood Tremor
    Nicole C.

This shop has been rated one of the top sandwich shops in the US on Yelp, and for good reason! The sandwiches are delicious, with various classic and unique flavors to choose from. I love the muffuletta and my husband loves the Hollywood Tremor. I also tried the Tom this visit and I enjoyed it, although I think there was too much sun-dried tomato which overpowered the flavor of the goat-cheese herb spread, which I was hoping to taste more of. The employees are very efficient and the owners are there working along with them often. There is seating inside, but the real draw is the beautiful patio in the back overlooking the river. This place is a must stop if you're in Three Rivers!

Came here hungry after a short hike in the Sequoias and it absolutely hit the spot! The Black Bear Grill sandwich was incredible--loaded with meat and cheese and grilled to perfection. We also tried the Avocado Caprese salad, which was amazing. It's a great veggie-forward option with fresh ingredients and pesto sauce that brought everything together perfectly. I seriously couldn't get enough of it. The setup is simple: order at the counter and wait for your number. We grabbed a table in the back right outside overlooking the river, and honestly, we didn't want to leave--it was such a relaxing and beautiful spot. This place is definitely going to become one of our go-to stops after hiking in the Sequoias!

I received a call years ago from a friend who had seen a sub shop in Three Rivers was on a Yelp "top 100" list of places to eat. So, when Suzanne suggested getting a sandwich here, I was interested to see what was offered. We walked in at 11:20am and the place was already busy. Suzanne pointed to the "Special of the week" on the wall mounted menu. The "Southern Stinker" was intriguing. A few people in line ahead of us and four people behind the counter. We ordered two of those and a pomegranate lemonade. For a small town like Three Rivers to have such business on a Saturday was really surprising. The Candy store, sure. But a sandwich shop? Staff was friendly but focused. Serious about their work. We found a small table tucked into an alcove and waited for our number to be called. The pomegranate lemonade was just the right mix of sweet and tart. The sandwich was unbelievable. I don't have a sophisticated palate - yet was amazed at the flavors in this sandwich. Everything was distinctly detectable and blended beautifully. I could not refrain from remarking on the excellent flavor. The place was clean, with plenty of tables, outside dining as well. Sierra Subs and Salads deserves all their stars!

Good food. Good service. Amazing views! This local gem always has amazing flavor combinations. Brings nostalgia for the flavors and subs I grew up eating in LA. For today's meal, my wife and I deviated and tried their buffalo bill and bullseye sandwiches. The buffalo bill had perfectly grilled chicken with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and plenty of pesto. All on a warm and crunchy Kaiser roll. The bullseye didn't disappoint, it hit the mark. Just the right amount of beef, the right amount of horseradish with all the fresh veggies to go with it. Their soup was good, full of veggies and nicely cooked grains. Only complaint was the acidity of the soup did not complement the veggies well in my opinion. Otherwise a hearty soup for vegetarian and vegan folks. All in all, we'll be back to try new sandwiches and soups.

From the moment we walked in it felt like family -- greeted with genuine energy and enthusiasm. The menu has something for everyone: meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free diners. My vegetarian muffuletta was delicious, and the outdoor seating overlooking the river made the meal perfect. Bonus points for the local bird entertainment! Friendly staff, great food, beautiful view -- what a wonderful place. Highly recommend.

Came here for an early dinner after finishing some hiking in Sequoia NP, and I had no idea it was ranked #2 sandwiches in the US by Yelp but that made me more excited to try it! Waited about 15 minutes at 3:45 PM on a Tuesday, service was fast and efficient. Picked up the Hollywood tremor - "Turkey, Bacon, Sun Dried Tomato, Chipotle Cream Cheese, Cheddar, Red Onion, and Spinach on Ciabatta". The sandwich was amazing, with the chipotle cream cheese adding a kick and the ciabatta adding the perfect crunch. The outdoor space is charming and there's a decent amount of seating inside as well.

We were visiting Sequoia National Park and staying in Three Rivers, and I only wish we had found Sierra Subs & Salads on our first day--because I would've happily eaten here every single day. This place is such a hidden gem. The menu has an amazing selection for vegetarians, which is not always easy to find in small towns near national parks. I tried the Veg Tremor and it was hands-down my favorite--loaded with flavor, fresh ingredients, and just so satisfying. We also ordered the Veg Tom and a corn pasta salad, both of which were delicious and super fresh. The cherry on top? Their outdoor seating area--a peaceful little spot with a view of the river, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. It felt like the perfect post-hike reward or mid-day breather. Easily one of my favorite parts of the experience. If you're in Three Rivers, especially while visiting Sequoia, don't miss this place. It's casual, friendly, and the kind of local spot that makes a trip feel extra special.

A b s o l u t e YUM! Believe the stars!!! This place is where it's at!! When I visit national parks I just feel like the food choices are lacking and more on the unhealthy side, but I highly highly recommend Sierra Subs & salads bc they're healthy AND delicious!! It's exactly what you need for your hikes and after. We tried The Manwich (10/10) This is a big sandwich LOL & it's packed with so much flavor! It comes w turkey, ham, salami, bacon, avocado, provolone cheese, olive tapenade, tomato, onion, lettuce, mayo, oil & vinegar on a triple decker sour dough bread. Honestly everything together was just delicious its savory and tangy but refreshing. Get this! Gourmet Green (10/10) Another delicious sandwich! It comes with either turkey or chicken w a creamy almond cilantro jalapeño spread, red onions, roasted red peppers, cheese & spinach. Packed w flavor, savory, and has a small kick in the aioli sauce! Get this too Large Chicken Bacon Ranch Salad (10/10) They seriously packkk this salad!! Comes w spring mix and romaine lettuce, chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, and a really delicious ranch. Super refreshing! I recommend all of the items I mentioned because it's THAT good. Sierra subs & salads know how to do it right. Plus, they're super welcoming and friendly. They also recommended the manwich & gourmet green to us which we absolutely loved! The spot is so nice and comforting. Lots of seating inside. Theres also outdoor seating that leads down to an incredible view of the river. Such a great place to relax and the food is delicous. Will be coming back for more!

    Ryan C.

Well this was super overrated.... Don't get me wrong 10/10 location and views, but beyond that it's a subpar, overpriced sandwich shop with grumpy staff. I ordered the gourmet green, my wife got the buffalo bill. Both sandwiches had almost no meat on them. It was all bread vegetables and sauce. My wife is Australian and had asked what a Kaiser roll was (not ever hearing that word in her life) and the woman was super rude and spoke to my wife like she was dumb and finally just held up a roll and just said "this." So that wasn't cool. ALSO, I'm from NY and know exactly what a real Kaiser roll is and Sierra Subs does NOT have Kaiser rolls--they are using a potato hamburger bun at best. After ordering the wait wasn't long, but while waiting I had a pregnancy craving for pickles so I had asked for a side of pickles and had to get back in line to be charged $0.50 for the tiniest cup of the soggiest pickles ever. Skip this place and pack your own lunch for your hike.

This is a great stop when entering or leaving sequoia national park. There's not a large amount of parking available in front so you might want to get there early. The inside of the shop is fairly long and there's an outdoor patio in the back with amazing views of the river and mountains. The sandwiches are reasonably priced and very fresh and delicious. My only complaint would be that the sandwiches could use more filling and vegetables.

    Cher C.

10/10 Most delicious, fresh ingredients, crispy sourdough. Looking forward to the bext time! Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating.

My fiance and I shared the manwhich. No complaints, solid sandwich nothing to rave about. There's outdoor seating with a river view but unfortunately too hot for us to enjoy so we opted for the indoor a/c seats. Parking is very limited. Staff was friendly.

The first red flag should have been when we arrived at 10 a.m. and the front door was still locked, despite there being two groups on the patio and a couple of cars in the lot. We brushed it off, thinking maybe we'd just missed the breakfast rush. The service was slow, but that wasn't the real issue. The food quality was absolutely bottom of the barrel. Our orders were incorrect, they were out of basic items like milk, and the French toast tasted like it had been made with toilet water. It was completely inedible. After the French toast meals were removed, we still walked out paying over $70 for just drinks and two kids' meals. Completely unacceptable. Never again--we should've trusted our gut and left the moment we started questioning it. Save yourself the disappointment and go literally anywhere else. I ordered my food around 8:30 pm tonight. Lady on phone said it would be ready in 15min. I got there about 8:50 and the food had just come out. Now about the food.. first off I have never been to a place that you can order steak with refried beans and Mexican rice. Lol..So I knew I had to order it! I ordered the rib eye steak, beans and veggies. I wasn't expecting anything great but let me tell you..the food was very good. I first took a bite of the medium rare steak and it was cooked perfect! Then I had to try those beans! And they were really good and the veggies were perfectly soft but not too soft. Usually when I eat at Texas Roadhouse their veggies are always too crunchy. So this was a big surprise. I will be here one more day and more than likely I will be coming back to eat in their outdoor dining area. Sometimes you just have to give something a chance.

But there was something we had not considered, we were going to be going to a place that required us to be fresh and ready to receive the wonder of place by a lack and we only had the energy for an angry stop at a gas station. So this place I visited when I was tired and that kind of gunked up the experience. If I would have gone with more energy to fully open my eyes than this experience would have been wondrous. When I booked the reservation I did it because it was a place by a lake. I enjoy water front dining and I usually use an ocean for scenery and today I was in a place where I could use a large creek. And since I was not going with any specific expectations that lake hit me like a bucket of wow. I remember like seeing the mouth of the lake going down like actual rocks. Like I was seeing the waters that people raft on with commitment to the outdoors. It felt like I had traveled into a place where trees were purest, bird melodies were the only noise in town (besides the water running in the creek), and cabins belonged to those who called the mountains home. I was in a novel and for some reason I felt like it was written by Twain. And that is really what I can say about this place. That is mostly what I remember the beauty of the creek. I wanted to spend more time there, I could have walked it, they had like a lounge but I did not. But I do remember the forested view that went on, and the roaring, jagged leg being a central character other than that I have small things to say. I remember the salad being ok. Denise and I shared a dish, I can't remember why but we did not eat the whole thing. It was inherently bad. But this could have been an off night, or just not the dish of the place, and really you go here for the lake, and the food was great in some ways just not in this specific way. I went to this place a few weeks ago, and, if I had not make it clear I remember the experience of being with the lake. So go here for that experience and let the rest just fall into place.
