We stopped at Bear Moon Bakery for some fuel before our Enchanted Rock hike. We ordered the piggies, a cinnamon roll, and a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. The pastries were all delicious! The bread on the piggies and cinnamon roll was light and fluffy and tasted fresh. The broccoli cheddar soup was self-serve, and my only complaint is that it wasn't quite hot enough. We asked them to heat up our cup and they were happy to oblige and it was very good after that. For coffee, we ordered an iced honey lavender latte which had great flavor but was a little on the sweet side. We also ordered a hot salted caramel latte which was perfect! I like how it came out very hot and the sweetness level was just right. This bakery is super cute with great quality food and coffee. The price was very reasonable compared to other places similar to this. I can tell it's a staple for the locals, and we really enjoyed our meal. We'll be back if we are in the area.

This place has never failed to impress anybody. Get the earlier things will be sold out absolutely worth the drive if you're not from here. Fresh baked goods & delicious food.

After hearing such great things about this bakery from locals, my friends and I made it a point to visit during this trip to Boerne. The past three times I visited, they were closed. We ordered the following: - Bottled Water (get it yourself after purchasing out of the cooler) - Americano: Average americano served in paper cups. I personally thing mugs should be used for dine in coffee/ latte orders as paper cups changes the taste - Prosecco: Good, bottle that you get out of the cooler yourself. - Raspberry Bar: Good but average quality. Tasted like something I could get at my local grocery store. - Lemon Bar: Same as raspberry bar... just average One thing I really didn't like here was the service and level of casualness. As my friends and I were dining in, I really expected that cups, plates and silverware wouldn't be a big ask. When none of the above items were provided (for Prosecco and pastries), I asked for a champagne flute/ glass, a plate and forks. The woman behind the counter acted as though I was asking her for the world and asked if it was really needed and my answer was clearly yes. I am not going to drink Prosecco out of a bottle at a restaurant... that's ridiculous. After clarifying that to the woman, I was provided a paper plate and large soda cup. While I wanted to love this place, I really didn't care for it much and wouldn't return. Overall, it's a place for average quality goods and a poor experience.

Turkey sandwich, so good!

Was finally in town while they were open, score! There is some street parking as well as a tiny lot in the back with a 2 hour minimum. The smells coming from the kitchen while walking past were phenomenal. My son and I had lunch there and I appreciated the toddler sized chairs and low tables they had in one area. We split a turkey sandwich, yum! And some kettle chips. The woman in the back saw us dining in and was so kind to bring my little one some watermelon, which he devoured. The pasty cabinet displayed a mouthwatering array of all kinds of yummy goodies. Cakes, pies, muffins, cookies, Danish..We thoroughly enjoyed each item we purchased. One plum Danish, one slice of apple pie, and one orange cranberry muffin. All of them were great but I have not stopped thinking about that cranberry orange muffin since I finished it. Will definitely be back soon!

All the wonderful pastries, cookies, and kolaches

The kolaches here are my favorite and have been for many years. This bijou bakery has the most delicious pastries and pies in Boerne town. The food is savory and delicious with just the right blend of seasoning that allows each unique dish leaving you absolutely satisfied. The tea concoctions are unique and perfectly prepared every time I've had the chance to stop by this Boerne gem. If you're into espresso try this place, you won't be disappointed.

Chicken Salad Croissant, 10 stars! (1-20-23, staff reports menu changes weekly)
Shannon B.

Ordered the chipotle grilled cheese, the chicken salad croissant, and a "serve yourself" chicken noodle soup- all 10+ stars! The grilled cheese, made with Muenster cheese & chipotle jam was phenomenal with and w/out the side of homemade pickles and pickled onions. The chicken salad croissant was delish, and the soup was piping, burn-your-mouth hot! The ambiance was very cute with maps of old San Antonio hung around the walls. Only con about the cuteness of this cafe is the fact that the majority of chairs are higher than the small tables & desks around the place- so if you have a bad back, make sure to snag a spot at the high bar on the side wall or take your food to go. According to the staff, the brunch remains the same and the bottom half of the menu changes weekly. Highly recommend multiple visits!

It's small inside, and sometimes I stop by just for coffee. The barista makes a good vanilla latte, but he can be a bit unfriendly, often staring at me as if he's saying "okay, what do you want" lol If I were to dine in, the waiters are great!

This was very irritating. The food wasn't great either sadly for the price you pay it should be better. The shrimp and grits were cold and odd tasting with goat cheese. My chicken salad sandwich was soggy :/ the french fries were good! Didn't like my chi tea but i will say im really picky about my chi. The french toast wasn't anything spectacular. I really wanted to say good things but i really don't have a lot of things to say. The service wasn't all that great either we were very thirsty during our time. Parking is hard , only one bathroom. there is a very cute boutique that they share with that has absolutely the cutest things in there. The place is very cute and I have had the power bars which are super yummy!

I guess the only surprise I had was being asked if I wanted to heat the roll to eat it now. I figured they would all be fresh at open, but who knows. The cinnamon roll was huge and soft, with great flavor--but honestly, it had a bit too much glaze for my taste. It tipped from "perfectly sweet" into a little overpowering. Still good, just something to note if you don't love heavy icing. Friendly and welcoming staff. The only downside was that their espresso machine was down during my visit, which was a bit of a bummer if you're hoping for a full coffee experience. Really charming spot. It has that cozy, small-town bakery feel with a nice atmosphere to sit and relax for a bit. Definitely a place you'd want to hang out on a slow morning. Overall, I'd absolutely come back--just hoping the espresso machine is up and running next time, and maybe a lighter hand on the glaze!

To say that these are gluten-free is crazy, they taste so delicious and the flavor and texture do not elude to what you find in most gluten-free pastries. The sweet potato sticky pecan bun was so delicious, especially a little bit warm with some black coffee. It is so soft and moist with just the right amount of sweetness, you would think that it would be overwhelmingly sweet, but it wasn't, it was perfect. And the carrot cake muffin was equally amazing with a hint of sweet cream cheese, tucked away in the middle of the muffin popping out to give you a sweet kiss. The service is always amazing and I love the rustic, yet modern feel they have curated to blend right in to Boerne culture.

Sure enough, less than 5 minutes away we find bakery Lorraine. I'm obsessed with tarts and cinnamon rolls and both were delicious. The cinnamon roll was more croissant-like and upscale.
