Mediocre food + racial profiling = will not return…read more An old white man (owner? FHM? Idk) came over to our table after we had finished eating. He addressed the table making recommendations that the women visit the boutique next door. When it came time to address the men, he looked directly at the head of the table where one of my Hispanic family members sat (who has dark skin) and asked "Do you understand English?" before encouraging the "men to come back and look at their upcoming gun and watch collection. Not even to mention the food. Chicken and waffles? More like chicken and fryer grease. When I pushed to the side when I was finished eating is what slid off the chicken immediately after I put my fork on it. Total of about four bites of chicken for this meal, majority of the mass on top of the waffles was just grease from the fryer. Can't say I would order this again.

The food was brought out, and it was presented in a very acceptable manner. The quality and the amount of food is definitely outstanding. It tasted really good. The ambience in the place is very friendly and while we were, it was not a noisy place. It is a very affordable restaurant. I highly encourage you to go there and try their many various dishes. Is an old establishment and well thought of by the locals. With all this being said, I would recommend this place definitely. However, the restroom could use some major attendance. Still even with this last statement, I would recommend this place for your dining experience.

Their migas has become a favorite. The atmosphere is casual and the open kitchen at the back is smoothly run and fun to watch. The service today through, was sorely lacking. The young man in the yellow shirt at the cash register didn't acknowledge us and seemed hyper-focused on slurping his coffee. No eye contact, gave us the silent treatment, and when my son said his order, he said "sure" and stared at the register. I said my order and still nothing from him. He turned to get my coffee and just dumped the lid down on what I'm sure is a not-too-clean counter. He just walked away to take another drink. No "thank you" or anything. We are Boerne locals and he made the entire experience uncomfortable. It makes me wonder what kind of impression he makes on visitors.
