There are so many things to choose from. I normally take a million photos. I apologize because I was so into my visit that I didn't get any except photos of my family. I can tell you we started with fried mushrooms and they were incredible. They were hot and battered perfectly. Add Ranch and I was in heaven. They served it with gravy also-which is a must. Do you ever look back at your visit and wish you had eaten more of something? That's me with the mushrooms, but I was trying to be lady like so I only ate a few. I got chopped beef sirloin that was smothered in onions and brown gravy & fried okra and they serve it with this muffin like roll. It was all so good. The quality of the meat was great and that deep brown gravy compliments the entire dish....grilled onions....oh man...take me back! Let me just tell you my little southern heart was in heaven. Their onion rings are amazing also. The chicken fried steak was great. I mean....i had to take bites of my son's plate also. I don't see how you could go wrong here. I love that you go grab your food and go sit yourself down. This place stayed hopping but they were on their game and had the food out so tables were turning quickly. The menu is on the wall and ordering at the counter. There are yummy looking pies in the case. We were happy to see liver and onions with 3 sides. It also came with an incredibly tasty muffin, which we were told was a type of bran muffin. The liver was very thinly sliced and nicely grilled. Sides were generous. We got drinks and my unsweet tea was nicely brewed, which in Texas is expected. Counter staff was friendly and service was quick. The environs are in serious need of an upgrade, which I doubt will happen to keep the prices low. As it is our shared meal and two drinks was about $25. We were very pleased with our meal, the restrooms were clean and easy access, and overall other than extremely dated decor this eatery is a Boerne classic!

The young lady I spoke with on the phone was just as kind and patient as could be. She answered every one of my questions without making me feel rushed, and her manners were absolutely wonderful -- something you do not always come across these days. I believe her name was Ashtin or perhaps Aspen, though I may not be remembering correctly. Regardless, she was such a delight to speak with and made the entire call pleasant from beginning to end. It is rare to find someone so genuinely warm, professional, and helpful. Whoever she is, I hope she is recognized for her kindness and excellent customer service. Young people like her are truly a blessing. After speaking with her, I am even more excited to come in for Mother's Day brunch with my family. We cannot wait to dine there, and if the service over the phone is any indication, I am sure the experience will be absolutely wonderful.

Then he came back to say that they only sell them per pound. Kindly I asked if I can do half a pound... the only answer I got is: is there anything else I can get for you? Finger licking delicious! But for one pound all I got is a tiny bit of cilantro with it and a hot salsa and 6 tortillas. Fine... I asked one of the girls if I can get extra cilantro I couldn't really understand her if they charge extra for it. Regardless she went and got it for me. I kind of felt uncomfortable... I saw in the fridge they have green salsa I wanted to try that too. They got it for me with a warning that it is more spicy than the red one I have... no lime... no fixings... maybe I am used to the shops on the south side of San Antonio. I was blown away when not only great service but a friendly bubbly personality & a beautiful smile. There was a little hiccup in which Makayla took to the manager without us needing to request her to do and Sean was prompt to take care of the situation. KUDOS! Tried lunch on a recent weekend. Not surprising total sports bar vibe. Shout to the place that started this riff off yet totally about to die miserably aka Hooters. We've been seated; attentive service through out the meal. Extra asks delivered quickly. She likes boned wings naked with BBQ on the side. No complaints from her side except she thought the house made tots were better on the last visit. I decided to try a combo of boned wings and chicken tenders. Boned in the hottest Buffalo sauce offered and went with the recommendation of the waitress on the Garlic Parmesan tenders. For the boned I wish they would have been double sauced. Asking for more sauce only got me cold sauce. Through many mediocre attempts I've decided boneless wings aren't my thing. Mostly factory made, fried too many times, and sauced by the restaurant. Better alternative was Sauced split (almost a paillard) tenders. I think this will be my next meal here. Tenders double sauced in the Buffalo sauce. And, I'll be skipping the Caesar Salad that we ordered on this visit. Kitchen, it's not a "Caesar" if the ingredients aren't true to the original recipe. I'd probably be all over a higher start rating if this attempt to avoid double fried (at least on my side) was acceptable. We both took a bite and pushed the salad away to the other side of the table. Find an old recipe from Mexico and correct it.
