First time here. Passing through the area. Service was great and staff was friendly. Nice family restaurant with plenty of of space to spread out. Food portions were big, but the flavor was okay. Nothing to really wow you. I got sliced brisket and St. Louis pork ribs. I had to use a ton of bbq sauce and salt for taste. Beans were okay also. Wife got the half chicken and she loved it. I got out my food processor to add their pickles and onions, I wish I had celery and boiled eggs that might have helped. I ordered Creamed corn NOT potato salad. For how much we spent it should have been right. We can't drive to town to fix it because that is exactly opposite of convenient which is why we went into town to get it in the first place! Mac and cheese were dry. Ribs were good. Sauce was good. Everything else was good. Better would have been better. Place was a ghost town on what should've been a busy day. Example 2, ordered 1/2-pound ribs, got 1/4 pound. Example 3, ordered a piece of pecan pie ($6.00), instead got sucky banana pudding that is priced for less than $2.50. I love coming here for their delicious food! Prices are alright, and staff have always been friendly- especially the young men that work there. They have always been accommodating and help you with whatever questions. The drive thru can be a little slow sometimes- but it's bbq so I understand. I love their sides too! Very Good and Very Texas We tried Smokey Mo's for breakfast takeout this morning The breakfast menu is very reasonable Morning Tacos only 1.99 And they come with eggs and u pick three items from menu to add... we tried 4 tacos and mixed items so we could try it all. Only downside was , they shorted us our potato's on every item we ordered And did not tell us. So SURPRISE ON US when we got home Also ordered a breakfast bowl which was eggs brisket that melted in our mouths , cheese and missing potato's ugh And finally biscuit gravy and a sausage patty in disguise of a hockey puck and cold. All of the meats were good, sides were tasty, and everything seemed fresh even though it was about 30 minutes from closing. The food was AMAZING and the staff was very nice. Had the sausage, brisket and pork loin. I cannot tell you which one I liked more because they were all juicy and had very great flavor (even without the bbq sauce). We also had frito pie, banana pudding and sweet tea. Well I was sketched out by the drive thru,out front. But let me tell you this has been the best bbq I've had in a while. The brisket looks super fatty but melts in your mouth. The pork lion was moist worth the try. Potato salad was amazing I dabbed a little of their bbq sauce on it mmm yes ma'am!! Mac and cheese was great. Green beans were traditional. If you can't stay and eat the drive through is a fast option. Courteous workers and helpful for any menu items in question.
