The potato salad was good but the beans had too much chili powder in them. My daughter ordered the Baby Back ribs with some type of fried potatoes and pinto beans. The potatoes looked and tasted old. The Baby Back ribs were a tad bit sweet for my daughter, but I liked the ribs. We had dessert, chocolate cake which tasted like a brownie, but melted in your mouth good. Now the peach cobbler was terrible. The peach cobbler crust did not have a good taste and the whole dessert did not taste like home made with cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of sugar. The staff were very mannerable, the restaurant was very clean, the restroom was clean and parking was ample. Over all I would recommend this restaurant for the BBQ meats.

It was $7 which I didn't think was worth the money. I got a waffle cone filled with coleslaw, baked beans and brisket. I had to dig it down to find the brisket which was about only 1/4 of the cone. They put too much coleslaw and baked beans but not enough brisket. When I did find the brisket, it was not impressive at all. It was average at best, not melt in your mouth brisket I was looking for. The waffle cone wasn't very interesting either. I threw it away. It was a huge let down!!! Two star for the idea though b/c several people were curious and asked me about it.

Very rustic country location and once inside you know you are in a Texas country BBQ. Staff was friendly and helpful choosing our food. They suggested going with the family portions to share which was perfect. For 3 people we ordered 1/2 lb each of lean brisket (moist also available), turkey, and garlic sausage. For sides we went with coleslaw and charro beans. Way too much food for us, but perfect for a large leftover plate. Consensus of all three of us was: -Brisket had a perfect blackened crust, with a good red smoke ring. Very little fat and still very moist meat. 7 of 5 stars! -Turkey was well seasoned, very flavorful, and smoked to perfection. 6 of 5 stars! -Garlic sausage was the home run here. When we ordered they only had the garlic one left. I was hesitant to order expecting a strong garlic flavor. It was the perfect garlic hint of flavor with the amazing in-house made sausage. Outer skin had a snap when you bit into it and the flavor of the sausage is a melody of bbq flavor that overwhelms the taste buds. 10 of 5 stars! -Coleslaw was vinegary with some fresh sliced red pepper and fresh jalapeños which was a good touch. 5 of 5 stars. -Charro beans were flavored to perfection. 5 of 5 stars. -And we can't forget the bbq sauce. This was the perfect pairing for the meat. Obviously house made with the perfect balance between spicey and sweetness. Wife and I both said it was the best we ever had. Blows away the sauce from our favorite bbq location here in San Antonio. Another 10 of 5 stars! Fresh squeezed lemonade for all of us and they brought us free refills. Probably the best bbq we have had....ever!

Overall, when I've visited the food and service has always been fantastic. Just yesterday when I visited for Monday Night Football, they had bratwursts and fish tacos. They also had a small kid menu (hot dog or chicken fingers w/ fries) which is a bonus if you have children. The bratwurst has become a favorite of my parents and they constantly order it when they can. I tried the fish tacos yesterday and it was a mouthful of heaven without a doubt. The same guy is always working the truck when we go and he's so friendly. He even brought us our food every single time we ordered off of him. I can't really complain at all. I would recommend Skinny Cat in a heartbeat! Check out their website to see where they are everyday, they're around Boerne too!

A side of fries was included with the $10 price, but the owner didn't realize the the buns had soy in them until after I ordered, so he gave me a slight price brake. I came at about 2pm, so there was a bit of a delay because it was past the primary lunch hours. The burger came with a little pink inside, a nice char on the outside, and the blue cheese gave it a really nice tang. I wrapped it in the supplied lettuce and ate it that way. Next time I'll bring my own bun. The fries are thick cut, well salted, and hot when they arrived. Despite it being a cool day, they maintained their heat in the time it took me to eat the burger. I think that they would hold up well to being offered as a separate Bleu Cheese Fries side, or with a blue cheese dipping sauce as an option. I suggested this to the owner, and he liked the idea, so hopefully we'll be seeing that on the menu soon. (yum) This was at Point Park & Eats food truck park, so I got my drink from the bar. They have Dublin Bottling Works sodas here, but they were out of the Cherry Lime flavor. I ordered a Lemonade flavor instead at first, but noticed that it includes brominated vegetable oil, (frequently made from soy,) so I switched to the Triple XXX Root Beer. I wasn't disappointed because Triple XXX is one of the better Root Beers around. :-) Quite a flavorful lunch, and worth the trip north.

I didn't catch our waitress's name, but she was very attentive and fun. The burger I got was the Hangover, which lots of places have now, but this one was a little different in that it had hash browns, an egg, and bacon. The hash browns were a really nice addition. I added an extra patty and upgraded to the jalapeno cheese bun. It normally comes on TX toast which I think would be equally tasty. Not the absolute best burger I have had, but it was solid! I doubt you'd be disappointed, but not sure you would say this is the new heavyweight champ. The onion rings were very good. Sweet potato fries were a little lacking. The Food I ordered the grilled chicken marsala, and they didn't just throw it on a plate--they presented it. Everything looked intentional. * Chicken cooked perfectly * Sauce was on point * Mashed potatoes? Had me wanting the recipe after one bite * Green beans with sausage and onion--straight comfort food I also tried the chicken tenders, fries, and Texas toast--everything was done right.
