Long wait for the drive thru BECAUSE THE COFFEE IS SO GOOD! This place is much better than Starbucks and they give you chocolate covered coffee bean as extra treat!

I frequently come to Brighton Heights and Avalon for various reasons, and every time I do I know a stop through BeanThru is going to be on my list. I absolutely love this place and their creative drink list. Drinks are similar to Starbucks prices, but you are supporting local and getting much better quality IMO. Check out their social media for their current seasonal specials, which I can never find listed at the drive-thru. My favorite thing to order here is a seasonal iced latte or cold brew topped with one of their flavored cold foams. So delicious! If I am in need of a snack at the time, I like to get one of their biscotti, which are soft and chewy and unlike any biscotti you've had. The staff is always incredibly friendly and efficient, so don't shy away from pulling in if you see a little bit of a line. They get you in and out quickly. Great little coffee shop!

The Bellevue BeanThru is a perfect stop for your morning, or afternoon, coffee with friendly service and a wide-variety of menu options. I ordered the Americano, espresso with hot water, and it was well-balanced with the boldness of the espresso shining through. I enjoyed the nice touch of a chocolate covered espresso bean on the lid. It was a welcomed surprise! In addition to espresso-based drinks, the BeanThru offers a variety of smoothies and teas. If your hungry, they have a small food selection with muffins, bagels a croissant breakfast sandwich and more. You can also buy a bag of the chocolate covered espresso beans if you want some extra caffeine. The Bellevue location is most easily accessed while driving towards downtown. There are drive-thru windows on both sides of the building, so pick whichever line is shorter. I look forward to stopping again on a future morning commute!

This is an adorable little drive through as in drive through only Looks like a log cabin Lots of coffee choices and iced blends Pastries and muffins I've had their latte specials that change everyday Once it was maple once it was pumpkin spice It's sweet of them to place 2 chocolate covered coffee beans atop each beverage Service is always very friendly and worth the longer drive from my house I follow their Instagram and the beverages call to me to come buy

Bean thru is one of my favorite coffee places in the city. I don't live in the area, but make sure to always stop on my way going through. A true gem of a little coffee shop.

The girls are always so friendly & the service is incredibly quick. Their basic & iced coffees are good. I love adding the vanilla cold foam onto an iced coffee for just a little hint of sweetness. I'm generally pretty plain with my coffees & don't do much aside from the above or an occasional cappuccino. I recently had one of their specialty Valentine's Day Raspberry Truffle Mocha drinks & it was such a treat!! It was very sweet, but I was in the mood for that, it also had raspberry cold foam on top. So, so yummy!! Their cold foam is the best. My husband even adds it to his hot coffees to cool them down slightly so he can start drinking it more quickly. The little chocolate covered espresso bean on top of each drink is always a little treat too & is such a nice signature touch. We're happy to live near such a great little local business! Thank you for being wonderful.

Over the past 2 months, my love for beanthru has grown so much. I don't go to Starbucks anymore because it's no comparison. Coming here has actually become something fun to do and look forward to on the weekends for my boyfriend, family, and I. We all love it so much. Can't recommend this place any more! The iced caramel macchiato is my new go to. Can't stop ordering it no matter how much I want to try other drinks. I'll continue to recommend Beanthru to everyone I meet!

My boyfriend and I always stop here when we go through the area. Even though the line might be long, it always goes super fast! The bean thru girls are always the sweetest and helpful. The best part of all of the chocolate covered espresso bean they give you with every order! I would definitely recommend this spot to everyone

Are you driving? You'll need to be. This is a drive through, off the side of the road kind of deal which is very cute n' all but not a spot you should plan to *hang out* for too long. Not too #LGBTQIA affirming nor was this place bottom friendly at all as they were serving literally 16 oz Americanos? Like word I really didn't need that so I asked for the 8 oz and they gave me 12 oz. Turns out everyone who works there is super nice, customer service all around 10 out of 10 but minus two stars because it 1) Could be more Gay 2) I'd like it to be more Gay (maybe just enough that they know an actual Americano isn't 16 oz) Get what you need everyone. Leave no one behind, and find me on Instagram @mcgobro

Exterior but from the other side this time (because my iced coffee was so good I had to get another)
    Talia C.

This place is legit!! Super fast, friendly service, delicious iced coffee, cheap prices ($2.50!), no credit card minimum. And they surprised me with a free swirly chocolate covered espresso bean! I'm in town for 2 days and I fully plan on coming back tomorrow. Maybe before then. The line moves really fast too by the way! There's no place for remote working since you don't go inside, and there's not even a place to park, but if you're pinched for time (or would rather use it sightseeing all that Pgh has to offer), this is your jam for sure. Deeelish!

It may look like a hole-in-the-wall, but inside it's shabby chic (with the nicest bar bathroom I've seen in a while), and there's an outdoor space that can be re-arranged to host a group of almost any size. Plus, the music was speaking to me: it began with "99 Luftballons" and ended with "All the Small Things" from Blink-182 ("Work sucks / I know"). I met some girlfriends there on a Friday evening, and we split the Norwegian, vegetarian mezze, and Basque mussels platters. 1 per person seemed to be the right ratio, and everyone had enough to eat from the finger-licking variety. We enjoyed our meal while watching / listening to / feeling the rumble from the freight trains passing beneath us and across the railroad bridge over the river. (#ThatsSoPGH) The proprietess is a chef first and foremost, but the cocktails are hardly second rate. I really want to give a shout-out to the hard-working bartender! Although the margarita was mostly grapefruit juice, the whiskey sour was delicious, and the old fashioned was just different enough to be interesting. Beware! When the menu says the Oaxaca Sunset is spicy, they mean it! (It was too spicy for me.) To top it all off, after the sun had set, while we were trying to decide whether to wrap things up, a wild raccoon crested the hill and looked confusedly at all of us humans, as if to say, "Scram! It's my turn to eat!" Our little group paid up and left, at any rate, with plans to come back.

I checked out the reviews in advance. Fish and Chips and Shepard's Pie for us. I was expecting good, I was not expecting GREAT. There was a sizable serving of fish, perfectly done. Am I in Ireland? Spiraled fries, pickles and coleslaw. Coleslaw was good but needed my dad's touch. The Shepard's Pie was something else. Now I don't like beer as a drink but the plentiful strings of beef were soaked in Guiness. Yum. But you have to dig under the cheese coated mashed potatoes to find it and the peas and corn. This is a winner. Previously the only Shepard's Pie I had used ground beef. Love those strings of Guinness soaked beef. As is typical, when we LOVE a meal, we surprisingly eat less of it so we can bring it home and extend the experience. I do not like their cardboard container for leftovers. This restaurant is located right on McKnight Road somewhat near the intersection with Siebert. The inside is fairly large with seating in an L-shaped configuration around the kitchen. We were seated near the back on one side where the lighting was styled like lanterns and there was also a fun mural on the wall in an almost manga style. For dinner on this evening I decided to go with the Golden Katsu Curry Ramen while my wife went with the tonkotsu ramen and my kids split a happy cat noodles. My ramen was described as served with house-made curry broth simmered with tender potato and carrot chunks, wavy noodles and topped with a crispy cutlet, half marinated egg, sweet corn and scallions. My wife's was described as pork broth with thin noodles, pork belly chashu, nori, bamboo shoots, fish cake, kikurage mushroom, half marinated egg, sweet corn and scallions. My kids' meal was described as chicken nuggets, soy sauce-based plain noodles, assorted vegetables, half marinated egg and one piece of mochi ice cream. They first brought out the wrong item for my kids but once we mentioned it they quickly corrected it and brought out the right dish. My curry ended up being really good. The chicken cutlet was crispy, the noodles were bouncy and I enjoyed the sweetness from the corn. The star of the show for me though was the Japanese curry which had a rich flavor with warm and inviting spices. My wife loved her ramen as well and we were all impressed with the quality of the kids' meal, especially the chicken and the flavor of the noodles. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Everyone in my family enjoyed their food and we appreciated that it felt both fun and family friendly.

Food - I ordered the vegetable ramen (rice noodles) and the broth is out of this world. It has a really nice garlic flavor, very delicious that made me want more and I never had a garlic based broth before. The tofu was fresh and everything else tasted lovely. The other ramen was the tan tan. I didn't really care for the broth compared to mine but it wasn't my dish originally. We also ordered the takoyaki, two of them because it was so good!
