It's a little loud, though you can still carry on a conversation. My wife had the salmon dinner. My daughter had the BLT with fries. Both liked their choices. My sampled my daughter's fries and they were pretty crispy and well seasoned. I had to go with what I had last time: the Bee Sting pizza. Love the feta with spicy sausage and honey drizzle. Delicious. My daughter and I had a Hazy IPA, very good. Maybe next time I'll try something different, because most certainly we'll be back.

It was more than 2 people needed at 2lb of wings for an app. The potato skin spring rolls were almost there. They needed deeper color on the fry, and it seemed to only have what felt like mashed potato inside. I appreciated the crisp on the wings - a little heavy on the seasoning on some parts. The server was attentive! No complaints there. I do appreciate however if the timing of the entrees is spaced well to give time to eat the appetizers. This did not happen. She got me fresh creamer and sweetner packets so I didn't have to use the communal packets. I appreciate how understanding she was about my requests and my want to protect my new kidney. The menu has a lot of options which was great! Everything sounded tasty since we were so hungry! My husband grabbed the 2 biscuits and gravy meal with 2 eggs. I got the Tomlet with some spinach added without the hashbrowns and toast. Our food came out fast and hot! It all looked so good. My omelet had hamburger, olives, onions, cheese, jalapenos and fresh spinach. It was just what I wanted! I added sour cream and salsa to that baby, it was so good! My husband's biscuits and gravy were massive! The best homemade biscuits and gravy we ever had came from a gas station in Athens, Ga. These biscuits and gravy were busy as good! They are the best we have had in town! The biscuits were fluffy and airy, not too dense. The gravy was savory and rich. I don't know what kind of sausage they used but it was really good! Sausage gravy is a 50/50 for us but this gravy was killer! Everything was so fantastic! We ate every bite of our food and didn't regret it one bit! I appreciate the small, hometown feel of this restaurant. Servers knowing their guests by their first names. The prices were reasonable. The coffee was hot and my cup was always filled. I had the Chicken and Waffle Benedict and can I just say... WOW. The chicken wasn't overly breaded; it was perfectly light and crispy. The waffles were nice and fluffy, and the hash browns were crisp just how I like them. I came with my neighbors, and they were just as happy with their meals. We also tried the mimosa flights with different juices, and they were so delightful! They have two different options, so I tried one and my neighbor tried the other. And, for me, convenient. My wife had the Sirloin Salad, and I had the Ahi Poke Salad. My wife said that her meat was cooked the way she likes it, and the rest of the ingredients were delicious. For me, the ahi, sesame vinaigrette dressing, wonton strips, onions, and greens were very good. The food is always good at The Tavern. And, the prices are reasonable. Unlike our past experiences, the service this time around was not up to our usual. Our server, Hannah C., seemed in a rush and impatient. Though she told us to ask her if we had questions, I didn't find her responses to be pleasant. The first dish my wife was interested in had Boursin cheese. My wife had not heard of it, and she cannot eat a lot of cheese. She preferred something milder, like mozarella. When she inquired of Hannah, the reply was terse. "We don't have mozarella." "Do you have another milder cheese?" "Like what?" Not in a nice way, and not professional, in my opinion. And, she was loud. We waited longer than usual for our food, and when Hannah brought it, she just dropped the plates and split. To her credit, she did check in on us once during our meal. Now I don't know what kind of day Hannah was having. Maybe not so good. I don't know what kind of person she is, and I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she is a nice woman. Drinks came about 10 minutes after ordering. Dinner came out at 7:15 pm. We had no idea this experience would be this long. Food looked great, but after one bite into my Cajun chicken club, I was really disappointed. The chicken was stringy-dry (at least my jaw got a workout) and the buns were borderline burnt instead of toasted. All the other ingredients (bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese) were fresh and thankfully, enabled me to eat most of the sandwich. We rarely saw our server and both me and my husband ran out of drinks (we even finished off both waters) before she showed up for a refill. We didn't leave there until almost 8pm.
