The best coffee in town!!! I live in Middleton but will drive to Star for their coffee.

Star has limited coffee options. It's Starbucks, Ridley's, or Bordertown. I love supporting local and happily will pay more or be inconvenienced for it. This one is not worth it. When you walk in, it overwhelmingly smells like old urine, damp and dank. They also have tons of Torani syrups so basically commercial flavors, nothing house made. The mexican mocha is not even made with mexican mocha cubes but "powder." They say have nitro but it's not on tap, it's with ISI canisters. It's also not budget friendly. They do have lots of seating options and the outside patio is great. Terrible parking lot and even harder to get in an out but that's par for the course given how hard it is to drive in Star with so much traffic and not enough street lights. Their sign even blocks left turns out of the lot so seems easy to get into an accident. The lot is a huge dip. Although I was there on a weekday afternoon for a few hours, I observed it's moderately popular and people were on Teams calls. Given the limited options, I guess thats why? For now, it's terrible coffee with a bad smell and annoying parking lot. I'd rather drink the burnt stuff down the street at Starbucks which is clean or the burnt coffee at Sea Salt which at least comes with great desserts. read more

I was on my way back from Middleton and decided to stop in this little coffee joint for an afternoon caffeinated beverage. I drove past it on my way to Middleton so it was neccessary to stop in while heading back home to Boise. I needed a pick me up! Passing this joint, there's Black Rock, Starbucks and Dutch Bros. Three franchises that are very predictable and consistent. I'm always down to support local so I made my way in! Supporting local joints is so important. Walking in, the shop is really cute. It's two levels which is fun. You instantly hit the counter as you walk in. Merch on the walls. Baked goods in front of you. I wasn't greeted or acknowledged right away. So, I checked out the drink list on the front of the counter while I waited. The gals behind the counter weren't friendly but they weren't rude, they were just there. I asked for thier sugar free options and was handed a list. To my surprise, they had quite a few SF options which was great! You can only do much SF vanilla, caramel and hazelnut. With so many options available, I was excited to order my drink. I got a med iced americano with sugar free peanut butter and white chocolate. I thought I could mimic a snickers. To be able to have SF peanut butter as an option was dope! I did ask for cream in my iced americano. My drink was ready pretty quickly. I scoped out the area upstairs. It's quite cozy and relaxing up there. There's also an outer deck which will be nice for spring and summer coffee dates. I adore the old decor they have. I also noticed all their syrups that they have available! Their syrup game is on point! Bottles upon Bottles! My drink was good. I do wish there was a hair more cream. The flavors were there, I should have added a pack of sweetner to sweeten it a little more but I didn't mess with it. The espresso was present but on the watered down side. It wasn't the best but it was a nice to get that much needed afternoon caffeine jolt. This coffee joint is cute and cozy. I adore the outdoor seating in the front and back of the venue. My drink was ok. Customer service could be worked on a bit. I'm hardly in Star but we will see if I'll be back. Maybe my next experience will be better than today's. read more

The servers were friendly and prompt bringing out our food and drink. The blueberry scone, made on-site was delicious. We ate outside because it was a beautiful day, but it is by the side of a busy road. Each table inside had a Bible, if that's your thing. read more

Cool coffee place (they have food items & Red Bulls & teas too) in a small, older redone building in Star. I have come here several times and love the coffee here. The parking here is tight but doable alongside their drive thru. Just be aware entering & exiting the roadway. Their coffee menu is extensive. If you can think of it they probably already have and it is being made here. See their menu Board and also the latte menu and mocha menu. (See my pics of those) You are greeted warmly when you enter and the baristas get to work & make your drink and bring it out to you. You can sit inside, outside on the deck/ patio or at tables in front if you want to watch the traffic go by. Very comfortable, casual spot to meet a friend , family or a business colleague. Small restroom inside and napkins on table round out this comfortable experience. Prices seem high but you are supporting a local business so there is that. The price though includes someone handcrafting your selected drink and carefully making sure it is made to perfection. Some employees remember you and welcome you back. Sometimes they even put a chocolate covered coffee bean on your drink lid. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back! read more

This is such a great place to relax and have a cup of coffee or a blended frappe' or whatever else you like. The atmosphere is relaxing and clean. The employees are polite and provide great service. I loved the interior decorations that felt like Idaho, and not a corporate design. Stop by and try them out. You won't be disappointed! 10 stars!! read more

Do you like sharing your drinks? How about being served attitudes? This coffee shop is one that I frequent often. Their food and drinks are normally delicious! I have full punch cards to use and have spent a lot of money on their menu. However, their recent training has been horrible! So bad that I would have preferred a major chain coffee shop and will no longer support this business. My drink was given to someone else in their hands and they walked away to realize it was the wrong drink. In doing so they poured my drink into a new cup. Put the same lid back on, took the lid off threw it away and handed it out the drive window to me. Mind you...the parking lot was empty the only people ordering was the one inside and me in the drive thru. They were not busy. My previous experience in the food industry screamed health code violation! They remade the drink after I complained and treated me horribly! The barista she was so rude! For one mistakes happen! But you don't treat the customer or other staff with an obnoxiously rude attitude...it wasn't busy either! After they made my drink the place would have been empty. That service will definitely lose business for this place and will hurt the owners greatly. Please train your employees before you get shut down for violations and bankruptcy! Visited on 3/12/2026 approximately 12/1 pm. No receipt was given. A medium caramel macchiato hot was purchased. read more

This place is great!! I LOVE their coffee drinks! My favorite is the Iced Carmel Macchiato with soft top. It is probably my favorite in the whole valley so far! They also have delicious breakfast wraps if you're looking for a small meal. I love to get their homemade raspberry scones, and ask them to warm it just a bit - DELICIOUS! If you're questioning whether to try this place out, consider this your sign to GO! Stop what you're doing and go! AND..If you're looking for a place to get a coffee drink and study, this place is great for that. One of my go to's! read more

Beware there's a blonde that I believe has been spitting in drinks odered. If you order a drink and she takes over making it and adds an extra fruit slice and then wants you to take a sip in front of her. You've been targeted. This is just my opinion from personal experience dealing with her. Don't choke on the lime she adds to your drink. read more

A Star staple! Who needs any other coffee place when you have Bordertown! I love that they serve Cafe D'arte coffee, smooth and sweet. I choose this place every time over Starbucks or Dutch Bros and support local. The shop is cute, clean and nice for meeting friends for a coffee date. I love supporting small businesses! Love to come here and get an iced americano! Prices are affordable and that is part of what keeps me coming back. Appreciate that border town remains open later than many coffee shops in the area for when I am wanting a coffee later in the day. I won't take a star off for this but I would come more often if ya'll carried a different brand of syrup like Monin! Torani syrups taste like chemicals - would love to see an upgrade in syrup even if there is a slight up charge. read more

Get any of their pastries. They are all so good. A group of us regulars goes there and we always have a good time. Tip your servers well if you stay a while, like we do. First time trying to get a coffee from here. The young girl at the drive through was very rude and said we need to come in to order because they have a line. We have a baby and it's icy and lots of snow outside. That's why we went through drive through. Terrible customer service. We left since they would not serve us through drive through. read more

The service here is great and their coffee is fabulous. They offer $3 medium istar hot special every week and that's a great way to try new flavors of coffee. I even try the ones I don't think I will like and always end up liking them. I must stop location when you're in Star. read more
