Fantastic coffee! Everyone enjoyed their drinks. Super friendly staff and clean coffee shop. The parking is a bit tight and it's easy to miss the place, so pay attention.

This place is great!! I LOVE their coffee drinks! My favorite is the Iced Carmel Macchiato with soft top. It is probably my favorite in the whole valley so far! They also have delicious breakfast wraps if you're looking for a small meal. I love to get their homemade raspberry scones, and ask them to warm it just a bit - DELICIOUS! If you're questioning whether to try this place out, consider this your sign to GO! Stop what you're doing and go! AND..If you're looking for a place to get a coffee drink and study, this place is great for that. One of my go to's!

    Large menu!

Friendly staff, great coffee and lots of flavor options! I was impressed by the amount of flavor options they have, there's over 30!

Menu photos because I had a hard time finding it online.

Seated nearly instantly and our server was cordial. Ordered a filet for dinner and it was cooked precisely how I ordered it. Certainly give this a 4 star for flavor and plating presentation. Ordered a hot stone appetizer of tuna and wagyu to get the meal started and this is where I got a little stuck. It looked like quartz or granite and my proteins got stuck to it, which was a bit of a miss for the price. This needs to be a hot rock, consider a change here, otherwise this app is going to suffer. Nice restaurant and look forward to another visit but won't be ordering this app again.

The funny thing is, we were actually on the other end of the street for dessert and decided we needed something savory for dinner (not just ice cream). So, we wandered on over to Rare Steakhouse. The atmosphere is somehow both very laid back and Idaho-upscale. If you know, you know. The staff was incredibly friendly and we were tucked into a corner where we could watch the Boise State game on TV. No major appetizers on this trip but I did ask for my clam chowder to come out first. And ya'll...this is the best clam chowder I've had in the area. I honestly was not expecting to like it as much as I did. Highly recommend! My husband and I shared the prime rib and it was also very tasty--and a good cut, too! Easily enough for both of us with a few yummy potato sides. The only reason for knocking it down a star... The water was kind of weird. Our waitress assured us it was triple-filtered but it had an off-putting taste to me. If we're ever in the area again, I'd honestly probably bring a water bottle. Nonetheless, the food was the star and that's the most important thing.

We were here this evening (Wednesday). The place was busy but not so much that we had to wait for a table, and in fact were seated at a nice booth. It's a little loud, though you can still carry on a conversation. My wife had the salmon dinner. My daughter had the BLT with fries. Both liked their choices. My sampled my daughter's fries and they were pretty crispy and well seasoned. I had to go with what I had last time: the Bee Sting pizza. Love the feta with spicy sausage and honey drizzle. Delicious. My daughter and I had a Hazy IPA, very good. Maybe next time I'll try something different, because most certainly we'll be back.

I felt the $23 Mac & Cheese could have used a pasta that caught more sauce (ie more grooves) and the sauce was a little thick and not saucy and creamy. Perhaps that's personal preference. The appetizers were good but I think the server automatically gave us the larger wing order instead of asking which size we wanted. It was more than 2 people needed at 2lb of wings for an app. The potato skin spring rolls were almost there. They needed deeper color on the fry, and it seemed to only have what felt like mashed potato inside. I appreciated the crisp on the wings - a little heavy on the seasoning on some parts. The server was attentive! No complaints there. I do appreciate however if the timing of the entrees is spaced well to give time to eat the appetizers. This did not happen. Why are the floors so sticky? I may or may not go again. I don't think I'd go to Star from Caldwell just to go. For the price, I expected a higher level of attention to detail.

I don't care what other people think or have nasty comments or anything like that. I don't think that they have ever had good home-cooked food like the Star, Country, Cafe. Another thing, the waitresses, the buses, the cooks the manager everyone that is in that place even the people have respect, loyalty and love for one another. I went there every single day for seven years straight. I was irregular. I no longer live in that area. I miss it every single day. I wish there was somebody else that made cinnamon rolls like they do.. Let me tell you if you have ever had a massive cinnamon roll enough for two people to eat, you gotta go here. The Star, Country, Cafe. I'm telling you it's worth the drive. Come on guys and gal!?., cinnamon are huge. If you have seen the white serving container that you usually take your food out with imagine that completely filled to the with one cinnamon roll, barely able to close the lid. Anyways, don't listen to other people. You only have to listen to me, but at least listen to me one time please try to make a trip out there and take that experience on your own hands and see what it's like being at a home town grandma's kitchen just like it was when you were just a kid. Homemade everything. . I'm not gonna lie. I miss my grandmother and I miss her cooking. This brings me back to being with her. Now listen this is a restaurant just like it was in the 1920s, this time to be with your loved ones, your friends or your family, leave your cell phones and your tablets in your car and have some peace and quiet while you eat and compensate with each other. . As I mentioned previously, I was a patron of the flagship BY in Pacific Beach, having grown up and spent most of my life in San Diego. We were sat at a booth right away, which we liked. Our server, Tyler, was a very friendly guy. He was also very busy. He was covering tables all over the restaurant. He took our order, and had to come back later to tell us what we already knew: our food was taking longer than usual to come out. My wife had her usual eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and toast. You can't go too wrong with that. I ordered the chorizo and eggs with corn tortillas. The chorizo seemed to be in chunks within the eggs, so that you could get a bit of eggs with no chorizo. I like mine mixed up well in the eggs, and that is what I'm used to. The Mexican rice was dry but the refried beans were good. The corn tortillas seemed like raw tortillas barely steamed and only lukewarm. Not appetizing. So, kudos to Tyler for being a nice and hardworking guy. Otherwise, this BY does not remind me of my experiences in the San Diego locations. The food is not impressive and as I said in my previous review, there are so many other cool places to enjoy breakfast in the Treasure Valley.

For some reason, we were seated in a corner booth near the bathrooms, while other customers were seated elsewhere in the restaurant. We didn't mind, however, because it was nice and quiet. And, for me, convenient. My wife had the Sirloin Salad, and I had the Ahi Poke Salad. My wife said that her meat was cooked the way she likes it, and the rest of the ingredients were delicious. For me, the ahi, sesame vinaigrette dressing, wonton strips, onions, and greens were very good. The food is always good at The Tavern. And, the prices are reasonable. Unlike our past experiences, the service this time around was not up to our usual. Our server, Hannah C., seemed in a rush and impatient. Though she told us to ask her if we had questions, I didn't find her responses to be pleasant. The first dish my wife was interested in had Boursin cheese. My wife had not heard of it, and she cannot eat a lot of cheese. She preferred something milder, like mozarella. When she inquired of Hannah, the reply was terse. "We don't have mozarella." "Do you have another milder cheese?" "Like what?" Not in a nice way, and not professional, in my opinion. And, she was loud. We waited longer than usual for our food, and when Hannah brought it, she just dropped the plates and split. To her credit, she did check in on us once during our meal. Now I don't know what kind of day Hannah was having. Maybe not so good. I don't know what kind of person she is, and I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she is a nice woman. Hopefully she is not like how she was with us to all of her customers. I'm a 20% tipper. For her, it was 18%. I wasn't given a choice, but I would have gone down to 15%.

Many mother's day outings here with my daughter before I worked my 13 hour shift serving other moms. It will forever hold the best memories for me. It has been close to 9 years since I have eaten here. Moving towards the north end created a big distance between us. But I was in the area with my neice today so we stopped in for breakfast. There's no other place in Meridian that I'd rather eat breakfast at! I remember this joint when the old owners owned it. It honestly was run down, old and dated. Your typical greasy spoon. My friend, Bob, took it over about 10 years ago and has totally given it the face lift it needed. It's brighter, cleaner and welcoming. I love the fresh flowers with our beautiful country's flag by the front door. I love the flowers painted on the windows too, it gives it such a fun appearance. I love the bright white building with the black trim. I love the bright lines in the parking lot. It's been revamped outside and it's gorgeous. Inside of the venue has had work done as well. The drapes were red, white and blue to go with the 4th of July. I love that they decorated for America's birthday. I'm sure they change it through the different holidays. The lighting is brighter. The decor is simple and fun. It just looks cleaner and fresh inside. It's not the old greasy spoon it used to be. My neice and I decided to sit at the bar, that's where my daughter and I used to eat at all the time. Kaitlyn greeted us and got our drinks started. I got hot coffee and my neice got an orange juice. I appreciate the creamer they had neatly placed by the condiments. It was nice not to have them just thrown in a bowl. Little details like that are fantastic. After breezing over the menu, we got our food placed with Kaitlyn. I got the popeye omelet with only 2 eggs instead of 3, cheddar instead of Swiss with no onions or mushrooms. I got fruit instead of bread and potatoes. My neice got the Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream on top with a side of hashbrowns. My omelet was cooked perfectly. It had a generous amount of spinach. We know spinach shrinks really bad when it's cooked and vanishes. You can tell they didn't hold back with the spinach. The cheese was nice and melty in the middle. Even though I asked for my omelet to be 1 egg shy of it's normal 3, I only ate half. It was a hearty omelet. My fruit was ok. It wasn't fresh fruit but I didn't mind. I ate a much as I could. My neice polished half of her huge waffle. It looked tasty with the berries and whipped cream. The side of hashbrowns was no joke. It was such a huge portion! We ate about a third of it and took the rest home to enjoy later. My friend, Bob has done such an amazing job making this place his own. Express Cafe will always be one of Meridian's best breakfast joints. The amount of years it's been around speaks for itself. I'm so proud of Bob and all that he's done. The food was good today. Service from Kaitlyn was fantastic! I'm just sad that it took my close to 9 years to come back. That's going to change and I look forward to having Express Cafe be a part of my day sometime soon. I won't allow another 9 years to pass by.
