The waitress brings menu and silverware to table and ask what we wanted to drink. Things go downhill fast! Coffee not even warm. Waitress takes our order....but doesn't have any thing to write our order on. A single pancake with bacon for the kid and omelets for my wife and I. My omelet was cold and hash browns that were cold and very greasy. The sour dough toast was the best part of our breakfast! My wife's omelet was bacon but it came out with hot sausage! So they took it back but really (should) have made it a rush. They didn't! So $50 bucks later we had a very forgettable breakfast! For new owners....this is not good! Went to Bean Tree Cafe to meet my daughter for breakfast. I picked this place cuz it's local restaurant and they make good coffee but I'm here for breakfast not just coffee. They have young staff and very friendly. I ordered The Work, it comes with over easy eggs I ordered how I'd like cooked, fried cubes potatoes, bacon, pancake and a biscuit with gravy. Everything is very good and perfect but biscuit weren't fresh but little hard but still good. my daughter ordered almond milk latte and stuffed strawberries French toast. The food is always fresh and the service is amazing! The chicken salad is my favorite, along with the sweet potato fries. I think I've tried almost every single thing on this menu, which shows how often we go there! I believe they grow their own vegetables too! The only problem is how small the building is and the limited seating. There is always a wait, especially on the weekends. Sometimes over an hour so plan ahead if you decide to come here. read more

Currently, you can get drinks to go at the counter or call in food orders for carryout. They have added a pick up window on the north side so you don't even have to get out of your car. My kids love this place! They serve giant blueberry lemon pancakes and my kids devour a ridiculous amount of food. I had the portabella omelette which was huge and delicious. Home fries were tasty. My husband and I enjoyed our experience at the Bean Tree Cafe. The cafe was clean and the waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. Our food was good, but not stellar. My sausage was a little bit undercooked and my husband said his food was under-seasoned. I like to salt and pepper my own breakfast so this didn't bother me. Oh MY, this place was delish! The potato pancakes are DEVINE! They've got form, texture, and other ingredients besides potatoes in them! So very tasty!!! And the BACON was glorious too! I'm in the middle of nowhere with very few food choices, so I wasn't expecting much. Upon entry, the place had plenty of seating and lots of energy. Lots of customers where coming in. The staff was very friendly. I ordered at the counter. I sat down in the other room because the one table to sit at on the counter side was not cleaned. After 5 minutes I was told, in a very friendly manner, that I have to sit on the counter side of the place. She cleaned the table. She explained that the left side (from walking in) has servers. I guess it is a rule that locals know. I had the House omelette. It was cooked perfectly. There was not a single brown spot. Julia Child would be happy. The flavors of the spinach, mushrooms and spinach work well together. The garlic wasn't over powering (I love garlic). The biscuit was flaky and tender. There is not much to say about their "hash browns". Just that they taste like small french fries deep fried without any seasoning. Basically, boring. The food and service was great. Since there is no other place in town as good, if I were to compare this locally I would give it 5 stars. But, if you travel, it is only 4 stars. read more

Had a meeting here and it's a great little spot. Lots of character and charm. The latte I ordered was really good. The blueberry muffin, though, was only so-so; I prefer my wife's recipe. This was the first time I ordered a cup of coffee to go. I asked if they had a coffee of the day, the girl looked at me and replied...Peru..... I looked back and said Excuse me. She again repeated Peru, I looked at her and replied What does that mean? She finally informed that the coffee of the day was called Peru. Yep, this conversation had no where to go by up. I asked if I could sample, she poured some in a mug and I added my cream and sweetener. I liked that taste, so I asked for a cup to go. This is where is gets even better. Went here with a group of friends for lunch. The place is very cute with a very homely and comfortable atmosphere. Ordered the Bean Tree Grilled Cheese...ohhhh emmm geeee...soooo delicious! The combination of cheeses, pesto, mushroom, and tomato was perfection. Homemade chips were seasoned very well! Wish they were a tad bit crispier but for the most part, they were yummy! My friends ordered pancakes, the house omelet, and the skillet and they enjoyed all of the above. No complaints. Service was fantastic! Absolutely horrible service and no attention payed to how dishes leave the kitchen. My girlfriend got the oatmeal that came out cold and thick the first time so we sent it back to only get the exact same bowl of oat meal. The French toast came out soggy covered in strawberry juice.
