I think we've all seen the wave of companies promoting signature iced coffee drinks this summer (maybe even longer than that) so whenever I pop into a coffee shop I'm unfamiliar with I expect the drink to be more of a cute little treat than quality coffee. This was NOT the case here haha. I can attest that the coffee used in this drink is quite strong and tasty. And the lavender infusion wasn't overly sweet or overbearing but mixed into the drink perfectly. I would tread lightly though (in a good way!) oh - and the staff were super nice and friendly :-) read more

Bean & Bean Coffee Roasters - Iced Lavender Latte - Coffee Roasteries Near Me - New York, New York

We visited Bean & Bean while exploring the Financial District -- and left a little disappointed. My husband and I were walking around and wanted a quiet spot to relax with some coffee. From the outside, this café looked quaint -- maybe even charming with its older architecture and cozy size. So we stepped in, hoping for a calm coffee moment. But the experience just didn't hit the mark. The interior feels untouched by time, which might appeal to some, but to us it felt outdated -- not in a nostalgic way, but more like it hadn't been refreshed in years. Even the coffee cups were just basic, unbranded, and added to that "nothing special" feeling. But the real issue? The service. We ordered, sat down, and then... silence. There was no name taken, no announcement, and no one brought anything over. Eventually I went up to the counter, and there were our drinks -- just sitting there, cold. It felt like no one was really paying attention -- and that disconnect mattered. I'm not expecting luxury or fanfare -- just a simple sign of care. A "your coffee's ready," or even eye contact would've made a difference. Instead, we were left sipping lukewarm drinks in silence, wondering what went wrong. If you're nearby and just want a no-frills coffee, you might still go. But if you're hoping for any kind of warmth, personality, or decent service -- this may not be it. It's New York -- there are plenty of great cafés around, and honestly, this one didn't give us a reason to come back. 2/5 -- left with cold coffee and colder vibes DO NOT RECOMMEND (Personally mine) read more

Came here a few times to try their items and i love how their items aren't that sweet compared to other cafes. I enjoyed their lemon poppy muffin & their lavender latte. Lemon poppy muffin-5/5- not too sour or sweet. It had just the right texture and i would totally get it again! Lavender latte- 5/5- honestly the winner out of all the drinks I've tried here. The lavender compliments the coffee out and it just makes you feel caffeinated. Service is always nice here & theres ample seating. No minimum for card and they have 2 bathrooms I believe. Great for studying! read more

I got a medium iced oat milk latte and it was $8.00. I get it that rent is expensive but $8.00 for a 12 oz cup that is half ice is crazy!! Then tip brings it up to $9. The atmosphere was just okay. It's not a super comfortable place to sit and work. The interior seems a little rundown. I am sure there must be a better coffee shop in fidi. read more

This AAPI-female owned coffee shop is wonderful! I got to try their new seasonal drinks (coming soon) and both were great. The Lavender Latte does have a good lavender taste and the Einspanner comes with a rich cream. I would pass on the matcha; thought it was just alright and too earthy. However, their Avocado Toast is really fresh and yummy! I would also recommend the Nutella Banana Bread which is not overly sweet. The workers are all very friendly and kind when taking your order. read more

Stumbled in here over the weekend looking to try a new coffee shop. We settled on Bean and Bean after doing some research on spots in the area. One thing to note, the entrance is a bit hidden between some tall columns! The inside is cute with a few tables to sit and enjoy, and I noticed quite a few little stuffed sloths as well. Not sure the story behind them, but it was a fun touch. We got a cold brew and a honey latte to share. I thought the cold brew was a bit bitter for my preferences, and the honey latte was indulgently sweet. Together, they unintentionally made a great pairing! If I'm in the mood for a cold brew I'd likely go elsewhere, but I would definitely return for the honey latte (or to try another drink)! read more

Service was pleasant. Wasn't busy when I arrived, only one other customer. Seating was plentiful. I ordered the darkest/strongest pour over and an avocado toast with poached egg. Shortly afterwards the barista informed me that they didn't have the usual (best seller, Peruvian maybe) and maybe I'd prefer a medium roast. Well enough, it's was decent, but that's more my personal preference. The avocado and the toast were ok (just ok - not bad not great). However the "poached" egg was just a microwaved hard boiled egg. That defeats the entire purpose of getting the poached on the toast. It (along with 15-minute wait) killed the experience. Thankfully I was able to stop on my way back to the apartment at Dunk'n Donuts on Pine St and get a cup of their Midnight Coffee. That gave me the dark brewed flavor I was craving. read more

Bean & Bean Coffee Roasters was such a lovely find! My boyfriend and I had just arrived in New York and were in big need of some caffeine. Bean & Bean Coffee Roasters came up as the closest place on Wall Street so we headed inside! The girl at the counter has been training and she seemed to be really kind throughout that process, which as a bystander, I appreciated. My boyfriend got a simple latte and I got a matcha latte. Both were very delicious! It was not your standard Starbucks-type coffee. It was not overly sweet and very warm. It was the perfect way to begin the morning. Overall, our experience was very pleasant! Should I find myself again in New York, I would love to visit Bean & Bean Coffee Roasters again! 8/10 recommend read more

Soo good. Their coffee based drinks are perfectly crafted. I am so glad I found this place. I have moments when I get tired of Starbucks and want something a little different. Their caramel macchiato with oat milk is chef's kiss, and each time I get it no matter who makes it is super consistent in taste. I often come here to do work and I am just able to focus and zone out and do work. It's never to loud, even though their are usually a good amount of people occupying the space. Let me put you on... get the nutella stuffed banana bread and thank me later ! You're welcome! read more

The location was close to my hotel and it has rave reviews. Beside, all I want was a cup of hot black coffee to warm up. Assume all the rave reviews the coffee got to be tasty and flavorful. The house brew coffee I was tasted awful. The whole time I was in New York I stay away from coffee and opt for tea. I was very baffled with all the rave reviews as a basic black coffee can tasted to bad. It was much work than gas station coffee. After a couple of sips, I tossed it. read more

Had a bad experience in this location today. I gave 2 stars because the products were good. The service, however left a really bad taste in my mouth. I got coffee and a pastry. Then, I decided I wanted another pastry and asked the lady at the register to do an exchange. So far, so good. Here is the problem. Instead of doing an exchange, she took the pastry I got, gave me another one - charged me for the new one and never refunded the difference. I saw the transaction on my phone and asked her about it. First, she pretended to be busy with another customer and didn't answer my question. When the customer left, she lied and said she gave me a refund. I checked my account and saw that I paid $13 for a small coffee and a cookie. NY is expensive- but this is insane. I was mainly upset because the server lied about the refund, failed to address my question and I ended up over paying for something I didn't want. The coffee and the cookie were good - but the experience was not. I felt like she was "stealing" knowingly from me and I would have preferred if she just acknowledged and corrected her mistake. It's less about the money and more about the principle. If someone overcharged you and lied about it - would you go to the place again? Could this be an isolated experience? Maybe... but I do not want to see if it happens again. read more

Bean and Bean. B&B. Coffee. I work in the same building as this coffee shop and it holds a special significance to my coworkers and me. Over the past year, the B&B has gone through changes. My feelings about those changes (more metal, brighter lights) are mixed. I wrestle internally about where to get my morning coffee, and this place may win 30% of the time depending on which coworker I'm going with. Chronically burnt bagels and snippy comments by the cashiers make this place special for some reason. The iced green tea is basically water with yellow food coloring in it. Coffee itself is good but not astronomical. Still, I kinda love this place and keep ordering this stuff. Pour overs are indeed excellent if you're in the mood for something special and expensive. You used to be able to save 10% by using the cups app. This time has come and gone. I am straight terrified of the revolving door in this establishment. Don't drink the coffee after 4PM. You'll start shaking and having nightmares. It's the most consistent thing about the place. 3/5 solid. read more

This cafe boasts its organic origins, and it makes a big point to mention its organic nature throughout the store. Some great things I noticed: 1) It was well heated! 2) The door is a revolving door, meaning that the cafe does not get chilly with each new customer. 3) Quick service. 4) Variation of seating choices (e.g., wooden chairs plus more comfy chairs). I got a large tea for $2.35. I kind of wish they had had more decaffeinated choices. I read here for an hour. The music here was all over the place: r&b, pop, folky... Maybe I just noticed because I was reading, but it was almost as if two people were fighting over the radio. It was a little odd. read more
