This cafe is a great "work from home" option. There's wifi, bathroom, and seats for guests. The staff were all extremely friendly as well. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and sweetened it (vanilla syrup) and the cost came out to $10.56 which was pretty surprising. When my matcha came, I still saw clumps at the bottom of the cup and the matcha did not taste strong and it wasn't the best cup of matcha I had especially for the price. Overall loved the vibe of the cafe but the matcha that's used here is not the best quality. read more

So when a person says, "this is the best chocolate chip cookie in NY," you have expectations. And when that person is your daughter, you think, 'well, it's gotta be.' I'm glad she doesn't read my reviews. I disagree. Cookies on the website look fabulous. "Ooey - gooey," it says. Mine wasn't. It was sort of dry. Tonight I'll stick what remains in the toaster oven to see if that helps. Nothing to lose.... Edited Update: This is a cookie that should NOT be eaten cold. A couple of minutes in the oven makes a world of difference. Microwave is a no-no. read more

Stopped into Seven Grams Coffee on Madison Avenue for a quick espresso and it was a solid experience. Service was fast and efficient, which is always appreciated. They added sugar automatically, which I didn't mind since I usually take a little anyway, but it was a bit unexpected. Not a dealbreaker, just something worth noting. The vibe was great! clean, relaxed, and importantly not overrun with laptops, if you know what I mean. That alone makes it stand out a bit in Manhattan. I usually don't love some of the more pretentious coffee spots in the area, but this one surprised me. I'd definitely consider coming back. read more

Now I'm not really a coffee person, but I AM a cookie person! Seven Gram serves up some seriously tasty treats- stopped by on a weekend afternoon and got a chai latte and a matcha cookie. The chai latte was okay but that cookie... wow! Nice and soft and chewy with some gooey bits of white chocolate, this was a spectacular cookie. They are known for their cookies, so you can pick up packs of them as well (they also sell their own coffee beans, but roast dates seemed to be on the older side, like 1~2 months ago) Plenty of seating for a Manhattan cafe, which is definitely helpful. read more

I get their espresso for years and obviously it is one of the best in NYC . But they also need to be recognized for their excellent , perfect cookies . I tried their Tiramisu Matcha Latte. Very disappointed :( it was just matcha with white foam that is flavorless. It was not even a cheese foam or anything. Just a white foam. It was about $12 I just didn't get which part of it includes flavor of Tiramisu. But cafe was cute. I might try different drink again to see if it was just that drink read more

This one star review could have been avoided by the cashier literally LISTENING TO THE CUSTOMER. YOUR COFFEE IS NOT good enough for u to have arrogant cashiers. This isnt soho or williamsburg where i'm going for the vibe. I asked for light ice as he was filling out my cup. He probably ignored it because he came back with my two cold brews which was full of ice. I told him nicely, can I get light ice? And he proceeded to tell me that it was a quarter cup of ice. You can see in the picture that jt is NOT. this POMPOUS cashier honestly ruined this coffee shop for me. I'm a regular since I live near by and you can bet Im never coming back. read more

Stopped in here to kill some time before meeting up with a friend. I heard about their famous chocolate chip cookie so I decided to grab two (one for me and one for my friend) and a cortado to drink. The total came to $19.05 which (unfortunately) is the going price for two cookies and a drink these days! However, I did have some sticker shock when I asked for a bag (so I didn't have to carry my friend's cookie in my hand) and I was charged an additional 50 cents via a separate transaction. The bag was paper too, yikes! Notwithstanding the overpriced bag, the coffee and cookie were DELICIOUS. The cookie might be one of my favorites in the city. The texture of the cookie is such that it is gooey on the inside even if it isn't warmed up. There is also ample seating available and a water spout with cups which I thought was polite and inviting. Will be back again if I'm in the area! read more

Nice spot to treat yourself to a delicious gooey cookie. Lots of table space so also a great spot if you want to get a coffee and work from there. Matcha cookie was really good, the right softness to break apart in easy pieces, and made gooey by the white chocolate chips inside. Staff are nice and easygoing, good vibes all around and good soft music in the background. read more

Came here for a drink and cookie and it's a nice cafe! The inside of the cafe was super busy when I went, so I was unable to grab a seat. While it might be great for catching up with friends, it might not be the best for getting work done/studying as it was quite loud. I got one of their matcha lattes and a matcha cookie, and it was good! The matcha latte was pretty standard, but the cookie was the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Review is for the chocolate chip only. I had seen on Instagram that 7 grams was at the top of several best of chocolate chip cookie polls and I wanted to see for myself. I happened to be walking by this location and popped in to pick up one. $6.48 lighter, I grabbed my substantial cookie and took it home. At first bite I was, yeah this is good, but average. I put it into the microwave for 15 seconds and the cookie was elevated. Nice and crispy on the outside and a little bit softer on the inside. Tastes a little buttery and not overwhelmingly sweet. Convenient working cafe in Midtown! Most people here are working so the music isn't too loud, and there's a moderate volume level. They have several small individual tables and a long table with stools. Seats often free up and there's free wifi. Their iced mocha is pretty good if you have a sweet tooth, and they have a lot of sweet pastries including vegan options! read more

The coffee is pretty good but the cookies are awesome! I love that they offer a decent amount of vegan baked goods and my favorite was always the chocolate chip cookie. They have a gluten free vegan cookie too but they aren't an allergy friendly bakery so it's not suitable for celiac customers. read more

The tiramisu lattes that my partner and I ordered here were incredibly mid and insanely expensive(even by NYC standards). Also, every time I've come to this particular location with her(regardless of how early in the day we show up), they're always out of the almond croissant. It would be cool if they maybe carried less of the almond chocolate ones(which seem to always be in stock) and more of the regular almond ones! read more

The croissants are worth five stars. This isn't about them, they have the best almond croissants. Well actually, it kind of is. Part of the reason for the low score is I can never seem to get my hands on one. So on this trip, like many others, I had to settle for the chocolate almond croissant. It's a perfectly fine croissant, but the plain almond is truly next level and I feel like the chocolate is just doing too much. You would think if it's a popular item (which it seems to be), they would make more, but for whatever reason they refuse. Anyway... the lattes are what I have a real issue with (and the reason for the low-ish) rating. Maybe it's truly me and not them, but I hate when my shots are layered and not properly incorporated, which seems to be the move at Seven Grams. On this particular trip, I tried the tiramisu latte. I was super excited, but it was a dub. There was next to no sweetness or complexity. The cold foam was crazy thick, and all I could taste was marscarpone. And the real kicker was for two tiramisu lattes and a chocolate almond croissant, I paid nearly $40. That means those lattes were around $15!!! As a fellow barista, I get the labor and the ingredients that go into this aren't cheap, but that's a lot of money to spend only to be disappointed. Suffice it to say, I think I have to break up with Seven Grams (or maybe Seven Grams was trying to break up with me all along). It's been real, but you just can't seem to give me what I want. read more

Good mocha... but great cookie! A bit expensive though - 4.25 stars rounding down to 4. Mocha was delicious but $6.50 for a 12 oz. Can't comment on their other coffee drinks. The chocolate chip cookie was $6 but definitely the star of the show. It is thick but soft and gooey on the inside. Could easily share with another person, as it can be a bit heavy to eat on your own. Seemed like a nice environment to work from: generally clean and not too noisy. read more

It's true, the cookies here are amazing. I tried the chocolate chip, which somehow manages to be soft and sort of gooey while also having a fluffy, cake like consistency. It's a bit crispy and ever-so-slightly slightly over baked on the outside, which I like. The cookie is not overly sweet. The iced flat white was smooth and tasty and mildly sweet on its own, so I didn't add any sugar and didn't miss the lack of Splenda too much. I took my coffee and cookie to go, but there is limited inside seating available as well. read more

Wanted to finally try the hype and did feel a little let down. Cafe is very aesthetic/hip/trendy. The star of the show was not the matcha cookie but instead the doughy soft delicious chocolate chip! We managed to get a free coffee after getting 10 coffees there in the same week. That's how much we liked their fresh roasts. Even though they are a bit expensive, it's totally worth it for the quality of their beans. We loved their mochas on cold days! One of the best cookies i've had. The chocolate is so melty and the cookie is gooey in the middle but still has a crisp exterior. It's a cross between a cakey and doughey cookie so you can't go wrong if you're a fan of either! I can't speak for the coffee here but their pastries are wonderful. Highly recommend you get some with your coffee or just as an afternoon snack. So good!!! read more

Came here with the intention of getting work done. There's plenty of seating. They have wifi on the weekends, outlets scattered around the establishment, and a clean bathroom. Atmosphere is good too. Not too loud. The coffee is decent. Definitely very strong. They have a good amount of pastries available. Staff are nice. Came here for their ooey gooey thick chocolate chip cookies and the title definitely lives up to its name. Expect your cookie to be so gooey that it almost gives a raw texture but personally I love undercooked baked goods so I was a fan of the "ooey gooey-ness" of it. I got a chocolate caramel cookie with a hot mocha and it was so good. Definitely share with a friend since it can get overwhelmingly sugary all at once but it was definitely worth each and every bite! read more

I came here with a friend a while back and it was a cute lil coffee shop in Flatiron! The line wasn't too long, the staff was friendly, and best of all the cookies were big, warm, soft, chewy and just incredible. I also got an oat milk latte but I think the cookies really stole the show here. I'll definitely come back again! I saw people in here with laptops working so might be a nice little WFH cafe as well. read more

I mainly wanted coffee, but after seeing all the reviews about their cookies, I got a chocolate chip cookie as well. It was super delicious, not too sweet and the perfect texture. It was pretty expensive though, I think I paid close to $20 for 2 drinks and a cookie. I'm also pretty sure they forgot to add caramel to one of the lattes, which is why I'm docking off a star. I stopped by Seven Grams Cafe for a quick sweet treat. The place itself is small with a few tables. It was definitely packed when I went (around 3pm), so I felt squished sitting at a table. The cafe is decorated simply. Ambiance rate 5/10. I ordered "The PB" cookie. It was a good size cookie. It was nice, warm, gooey, and yummy. However, I barely tasted the peanut butter being it tasted heavily of the dark chocolate. Rate 7.5/10. The staff was ok, and the service was slow. It seemed like they forgot about my order, so I ended up waiting almost 10 minutes for 1 cookie. Service rate 5/10. Overall, I wouldn't come back considering there are other better places for cookies and priced more fairly. read more

Picked up a couple Gluten Free cookies and a couple Classic Chocolate chip. The Gluten Free cookies were decent as I could compare them, but for a Celiac they were a very nice treat. The Gluten Free were a bit dry and crumbly, but texture and flavor was solid. The Classic was a little crispy on the edge and gooey in the middle with ample amount of chocolate. Even though I wasn't going to try all three, I like having options to choose from. I was debating between Hinata and Hajime, so I asked the staff which one has a strong flavor and she recommended Hinata. I went with that. It's meant to have a nutty creamy taste. I'm satisfied that I can taste the nutty creaminess. Though I wish it can be bolder and have more umami. Perhaps it has to do with concentration. At the same time, $6.50 is a good price given the location, alternative matcha and drink options nearby, flavor. I also asked how much matcha they use in the medium vs large sizes. Medium is 4g for a 12oz cup. Large is 5g for a 16oz cup. Even though large is a better deal by volume, I got medium because it has a higher concentration of matcha. Since I got a hot latte, my cup came with the lid on it already. I didn't look at it immediately, so no photo available lol. I looked later on and the color looks bright green. The seating is weird where they only have a table with two seats against the window. Then there's a random one chair next to the cashier and another one next to the pickup area. The stools are slightly taller than the counters which made me feel like I was towering over the counter. I don't recommend betting on spending time to hang out there. Just buy it to go.

Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
