six beer glasses in a wooden tray

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon. The place has a cool vibe. The staff were friendly. The beer was decent. We tried their root beer as well. It was all solid. I would definitely return.

Smoked Buffalo chicken wings

We love the food pairings at this place. The chicken wing pairing was fantastic and this charcuterie board one is just as good! I love how the pickle changed the flavor of the rock lager. All of the beers were awesome! The yoo brew is a great stout and a must try! I got the beertini and loved it. The service is good and the bar is clean and well maintained. My only complaint is it is not closer to me! I would be there all do the time! I did wish that the chicken wings were tossed in the sauce instead of served in the side.

Lots of beers on tap

This brewery is by far one of the best additions to Rockledge. I went to their grand opening this weekend and it was amazing. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They have lots of different kinds of beer on tap with the most creative names and flavors. There is tons of seating so you don't have to worry about standing around. I was happy to see that there was plenty of parking available. There's also a cool Tiki room on the side where you can chill out. Unlike some places that claim to be breweries, they actually make their beer on site which I think is pretty cool. Even if you are not a huge beer drinker, there are tons of wines and other selections that you can drink. Even the food is good! I will definitely be back here.

Czech Pilsner and Turtle Trax tropical wheat ale $7 each

We were driving home tonight and saw that this brewery is finally open, so we turned around and stopped in for a beer. 1/2 pints are $5 and full pints are $7 for all beer. Tonight they have a selection of 17 beers on tap, which is fantastic! The bartender was very friendly and let me try a few so that I could decide what I wanted. I chose one called Turtle Trax, which is a wheat ale similar to a Blue Moon. It's refreshing and smooth, very good. My partner chose a Pilsner, which I tried and also thought was really good. Refreshing with a little bite. Tonight the place was mostly empty with 3 groups of people here. But it's Tuesday at 8:30 in Rockledge. The interior has a definite beach vibe with bright tables, nice background rock music that is easy to hold a conversation over, and fun decor in the walls. They also have a small food menu, which I hope they expand in the future so that we can have a couple drinks and dinner here.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Apparently, the Yelp Skynet a.k.a. the AI that green or red flags reviews, doesn't like the actual name of this pub despite the fact it is the pub's name. Ergo, I will use the abbreviation VI for the remainder of this review. Besides that, you really can't go wrong going to any of the pubs in Historic Cocoa Village. VI is one of the pubs on the eastern side of the Village, in between the famous Fat Donkey's Ice Cream and the furthest east pub in the village, Ryan's. Appearance-wise, the outside fits primarily with the building, but there are some minute details that give it its own personality, primarily around its name. There is also a section of the road and sidewalk that have been garrisoned for VI as outdoor seating and games such as bean bag toss. Indoors, it is definitely your kinda pub that many of the patrons are friends. The right side (East) have long tables with many pub and drinking games such as Hook & Ring and Shut The Box. There is a bookshelf filled to the brim with board games in case patrons prefer traditional or childhood classics. The left side (West) is the "Patio," a room that is decorated by numerous plants, neon lighting, widker and a black-and-white checkerboard floor. Finally, the middle of the pub is the actual bar, in the form of an L-shape serving a nice arrangement of beers from many breweries, cideries, distilleries, and meaderies across the United States. I had the Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale by Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. Other beer selections I would recommend include the Pineapple Cider by the famous Carib Brewing Co. and the Mango Cart by Golden Road Brewing. Personal note on the latter: Mango Carts, well for me, only taste good when straight from the tap. Cans are not good. And the food, it is minimal, but boy does VI know how to tug at my heartstrings as everything they have features, or could feature, cheese. They have pretzels with cheese, pickles with cheese, and my personal favorite, grilled cheese sandwiches. And for the more sophisticated patron, they have numerous choices in charcuterie boards, too. I will also state the drink prices are a bit on the high side compared to some other places I been to. And there are two restrooms that are single-serving and gender-specific. I don't believe the latter has to be gender-specific because they are single-serving. The barn doors are an interesting choice because they are not very good at blocking sound. I guess that is why VI blasts the music so nobody can hear the flatulence. Speaking of music, VI does have a small corner stage for small acts, possibly singular, to perform. Unless there is a pull-out large stage for outdoor performances, I don't see big bands, per se in higher number of members, performing here unless they can all jam in that tight-spaced stage. Ultimately, I am going to give VI three-out-of-five stars for this review. They are a solid pub that has all the fixin's of a good bar to go to. Maybe it is safe to say they really don't stand out too much, especially amongst the more unique bars in Historic Cocoa Village. But still, a good place to have a drink with friends with that "Everybody knows your name" kinda vibe.

I've run out of ways to say how good this place is so I had to come over to Yelp just to keep…read moretalking about it. Tipsy Unicorn is one of those spots you don't just stumble into... you find it. And once you do, you realize pretty quickly why people keep coming back. I've been here more times than I can count, and somehow it still feels like a great find every single time. The food is legit. Not just something to go along with a drink, but something you actually look forward to. That Dagwood wrap in the photo... stacked, fresh, and exactly what you want when you sit down and take a breath for a bit. Simple, done right. And the flights... always the move. They're thoughtfully crafted, and what really stands out is how much intention is behind everything they're doing. There's a creativity here that goes beyond just what's on the board. You can feel it in how the beers are built and how they're meant to be experienced. It gives you something a little different every time without ever feeling forced. But what really makes this place what it is... it's the feel. I'm not from here, and not once have I ever felt like an outsider. It's one of those places that just pulls you in. Comfortable, easy, and genuinely welcoming in a way that's hard to fake. And the people... they want you to feel at home. And they absolutely deliver on that. I've posted about this place more times than I probably should have already, and here I am again. That probably tells you everything you need to know. Get off the interstate. Go find it. Support local when you can. It matters. This is one of those spots.

I've been to where they keep their additives that they add to the cocktails with the lid on them so no one is breathing or sneezing on them which I absolutely love. The gentleman assisting us was so nice; his name is Nick. He's amazing; very kind and efficient. The ambience of the brewery is like biker gang meet industrial warehouse. Definitely recommend. The flavor of my porter is very light and crisp. It's also very easy to drink. Very, robust flavor you can definitely taste the coffee and the caramel. 10/10

Dirty Oar Beer Company - They sell tasty pretzels

FUN FACT: Dirty Oar Beer Company is one of two breweries located in Historic Cocoa Village. Also,…read moreit is one of nine breweries located on the Space Coast (Brevard County). With quite a small selection spread out across a large county, all the breweries have the opportunity to be unique. But for Dirty Oar Beer Company (which I will shorthand to simply the Dirty Oar), they need to be different from their neighbors, Bugnutty Brewing Company. So did Dirty Oar accomplish the aforementioned "challenge?" Well yes and no depending on what it is you are looking for. Located on the north side of Historic Cocoa Village - which is the south side of King St./US-520, Dirty Oar is a large aquamarine blue building heralding a beautiful mural of birds and an octopus. There is a back entrance where their biergarten is located and a front entrance which i will consider their storefront. Parking is a bit tight, but may be accommodating enough as Dirty Oar is not as rambunctious as their neighbors, Bugnutty, are. My friends, Charles the Grey a.k.a. Roadie X and Patrick joined me today as we enjoyed brews and food in their taproom. The area is kind of small compared to other taprooms, but maybe it is because the biergarten is much bigger for overflow accomodation. There are games for people to play, in which my friends enjoyed a game that was kind of like either/or, and it was fun. Not very intelligent, but whatever. This is where things can be a hit or miss. Maybe it is me, but the flight of "milkshake" beers did not impress me at all. If I am going to drink anything "milkshake flavored", I expect to taste said milkshake flavors. They tasted okay for beers, and maybe that is being more lenient as it was not what I was hoping for. Not bad, but definitely not a "milkshake." Food was delicious, but it comes from a food truck parked next to the biergarten. The grilled cheese was good and packed flavor into something simple, but the Frito pie: exquisite. To be fair, anyone that messes up a Frito pie doesn't deserve to cook anything. Overall, Dirty Oar was a-okay for an initial visit. Will I be back here? Of course, especially if I want a more personal time with friends, family, or a date. But will I go out of my way to go here compared to other breweries, probably not. Still, an a-okay establishment that I suggest visiting at least once. On a sidenote, Dirty Oar is one of the breweries that makes up the Launches & Lagers II Tour in Brevard. It is also a location in the Untappd App.

The ambiance is that of every other bar, which in itself isn't bad but it is when you don't do anything to really stand out. I ordered the southern burger and their special of deviled eggs. The deviled eggs were really good but only 6 half eggs was $12. Way overpriced in my opinion. The burger looked really good but for $22 for the burger and the fries, it better be top notch. Burger came out over done, with the entire bottom bun completely soaked in juice. It basically fell apart by the end of the meal. I will say the fries were really good but for $45 with a tip FOR ONE PERSON this place is way over priced for what you get. I also thought my service was just okay as well. This was such a hidden gem! It was my boyfriend's birthday and the first thing I asked him was what…read moredid he want to do for his birthday? He said beer spa and immediately I said why a beer spa if we don't even drink beer? This experience was such a great experience because you don't even have to drink beer in order to have a great time. They offer wine selections, sangrias and Prosecco etc with an additional up charge. I felt that it was worth it since me and my boyfriend do not drink beer. When we first walked in we had to call for the host to unlock the door for our apartment which makes it more tailored to people who set reservations in advance. You do pay for it advance as well so just be advised when booked. I was charged the add on after the appointment which was the wine. You are provided with towels, glasses , Robes before entering the private room. You have a locker with the key to lock your items like purses, etc. you are allowed to take your phones in the room which was nice if you wanted to capture the experience . They offer two tubs which are both in the room. For a more intimate experience I got the one tub which was nice because the one tub is enough room to fit two people comfortably. When you walk in the room, there's a sauna, tub and a hay bed. It is recommended to use the tub first to bathe in (ingredients to make beer not actual beer) for 30 mins. The sauna for 15 mins and the hay bed for another 15mins: the host explains all of this before your timer starts in the room. There is a cone that turns from green to red to keep track of your time when you are inside the room which I love that so we don't have to keep checking our phone every minute to keep track. You only get 60 mins but tbh it's worth it. We had such a great time doing this and very different from a normal spa but worth every penny. We were able to get as much wine as we wanted with the purchase and we mixed it with the sangria for it be stronger. When the time is up you just come out and there are available items to purchase like soaps, lotions, etc. which was also a nice touch as well. We will definitely be back because this was such a special moment to be able to relax and unwind with how busy our lives has been. Thank you beer spa for the amazing experience.
