Fun fact: There are ten breweries in the Space Coast (Brevard County) and two of them are Playalinda Brewing Company. If you so happen to be out and about in Downtown Titusville - a social hub that is a mix of modern-day stores and restaurants, space exploration, and city history - you can visit the Playalinda's "Hardware Store." Designed to look as if it were one of many shops within the area, the Hardware Store lives up to its name as the main bar wall looks as if they were designed with shelves back in the 1800s, featuring wares that were innovative at the time. I have to admit I spent a bit of time looking for a bottle of mercury just to see if they'd actually showcase such... or opium. That was legal back in the 1800s. There is seating outside on the sidewalk as well as ample seating inside via tables or the bar. Alcohol selection is whatever Playalinda is brewing for the season. I had the key lime cider. Needless to say: delicious! As for food, it is okay enough. The French Dip looked decent and my Cuban was good enough. But I shall be brave enough to state if you are hankering for a Cuban sandwich, I wouldn't go to Playalinda especially with Tree of Life Cuban Bakery literally being next door. Still, the food is decent in which I think is amplified depending on how buzzed you are. At least the service from our waitress was good despite her seeming to be the only waitress on staff at the time. Where Playalinda shines is, of course, their alcohol. I really wanted to try their sampler of the season, but I am not a big Halloween candy fan so I skipped it. Maybe another time when they have flavors more my preference. Ultimately, a good place for a brew with the convenience of also having food. On side note: the prices were not too bad as everything was up to $20. And the men's restroom was clean. Must say they were innovative on how they used a keg. SIDENOTE: Playalinda Brewing Company - Hardware Store is one of the breweries listed in Brevard County's Launches & Lagers II Tour. Along with the other nine breweries which includes Playalinda Brewing Company - Brix Project, they will stamp your passport when you visit them. Complete the passport by visiting all ten breweries in Brevard County and watching at least one space launch, writing the date of said launch. Walking in, we all felt like this place had a relaxed and chill vibe going on with great music playing and unique rustic decor. We arrived right after opening, around 11:30, and it wasn't too crowded. By the time we left, a little after 1pm, it was very busy. Generally, service is attentive and friendly, but our food took an overly long time to arrive, especially considering it was not that busy and we ordered pretty soon after being seated. The food was okay, nothing exceptional. We ordered two flatbreads to share: SPINACH ARTICHOKE and MARGHERITA FLATBREAD. Both felt soggy, like they weren't cooked long enough. There were four of us, but we did not finish either of these. The spinach/artichoke had okay flavor. The margarita's sauce was almost like ketchup. We would not recommend either. Three of us attempted to split the burger of the day, but it was difficult to cut because it was served on thick slices of rye bread. The flavors were good generally, though. The fries that came with it were excellent. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries, which were okay, and a fried pickle appetizer. The fried pickles were excellent, the best part of the meal. Three of us tried the root beer. I drank it, and it was okay, but the two other people at my table found it too strong to drink. It was served without ice in it, so maybe some ice would have toned it down and made it taste better. However, the server and manager were really nice about not charging us for both root beers that no one drank, even though we didn't ask for them to do that. We would consider going back when we are ready to spend an extra long time eating, as the food took a really long time to come out of the kitchen. We would stick to fried food and maybe a burger. Why 5 Stars? This is everything a brewery experience should be! I can't rave enough about this place. Situated on a downtown street seeing a resurgence, this brewery in a converted, historic hardware store is a top-notch experience. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and so good at their job (or I come here way too often) that they greet me by name and ask if I'm having my usual. Some of the flavor profiles don't sound like they'd make much sense but work very well. A beer that has a dollop of whip cream on it as an homage to Florida's best known dessert? Great. A German-style hefeweizen? Excellent. A light citrusy beer inspired by the local beach? Amazing. Another great thing about this location is the food. While it is definitely bar food, its "elevated" bar food. Again, there are pairings which don't seem to make sense (smoked gouda and bacon?) but work very well together. I've tried nearly everything on the menu and have never had anything I didn't like. You can tell the Chef takes pride in her work. A couple times she's come from the back asking how my food was. Throw in a dog-friendly patio, some board games, a run club and trivia nights, and you've got a recipe for success. read more

We have been visiting Brix since it opened. Many family events, company parties and date nights have been spent at this location. We love the different seating options. Our favorite bartender is Dane. He always recommend new brews and never misses on his suggestions. Braunwyn is our go to server. She knows the menu well and has great recommendations. The Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese is to die for! Please never get rid of it. My husband always tried the burger of the week. The mocktails are great for those who don't drink. Visited due to previous reviews, but found out that it is no longer affiliated with Playalinda Brewing, which is fine. But...when you walk into a brewery that is completely empty but has a great old time charm, are told to disregard the majority of the beers on the paper menu and chalkboard because they're out and the bartender 'forgot to do it last night', and that they are 'out of beef', it's not a good first impression. The calendar events on the chalkboard were from December, but the bartender chose to stand and watch tv vs updating anything. 2 star rating because the one beer they did have was good. A lot would have to change for us to return. They didn't even have their root beer. read more

I've only visited this location one time but it was a great experience. The service was excellent and we felt immediately welcomed by the staff. We ordered a few appetizers and when something came out with a minor issue they went above and beyond to fix it. The space isn't huge, so it might fill up fast here, but there are some tables and bar seating and I liked seeing the brewing equipment. It has a historic vibe about it. Top Notch Hip! Exactly what we were looking for after a long day at Kennedy Space Center. Searched Happy Hour and Yelp pointed us in the right direction again. Located in the historic district amongst a row of interesting shops, Playalinda brewery is the anchor at block's end. Originally a hardware store the classic pub vibe interior, stamped tin ceilings, & throwback displays to vintage era lent to its artsy cool interiors. The place was a buzz with happy folks of all ages. Truly a great stop for locals & tourists alike. We sat at the bar where the Bartender was friendly and fantastic! (male, man bun, tats) We tried key lime ale, pumpkin ale and a couple of more standard brews. Exceptional! We combined this with the delicious Mexican Corn Dip appetizer. Found Playalinda while traveling on Vacation and searching for an easy spot to go on the water. If you want a great brewery with old Titusville Roots this is your place. I met someone who worked here hanging with her husband and she informed me that this is one of two locations within 5 miles. Best part about this place, is that started as a joke and turned into reality, and even got signed by Disney! The original wood and antique feel completes the brewery's modern scenery. I will certainly be back for another blonde ale next time I'm in Titusville! read more

We were in town and decided to stop in for lunch and really glad we did! Great service, high quality and well prepared food. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer which were good but could use a little more coating. I ordered the beer cheese soup and it was REALLY good, a lot of flavor and perfect consistency. The others ordered burgers which I did try and it was also very good. They had a nice char, backyard bbq flavor and the meat quality was very good. They offer a good variety of beer. Leaning into the old timey hardware store aesthetic makes this place feel cozy and fun, while the selection of beers is among the best of any brewery on the space coast. The Whiskey Sour Stout lives up to its name with strong whiskey notes livening the brew immensely. The food options are great as well, with some pleasantly vegetarian friendly options like the veggie reuben and tasty pasta salad. Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the amazing pretzels, soft and hot, like they're freshly made to order. The staff are also incredibly pleasant and accommodating. This location is their original and is an old hardware store with much charm right on the downtown strip. There are tables inside and outside, and there is plenty on the menu outside of their craft beers that make it a great place to go with friends or bring your entire family. Their food menu is legit for a place that prides themselves only beer, and they often add specials to rotate to keep things fresh! On Sundays, you can order their "beer slushie" which is a great treat every once in a while. We ordered The Watermelon pale ale, Surreptitious, Liquid Stupid, Tropical Wave and sampled G Big! All a good variety to try, some with pretty high alcohol content. The best place I keep forgetting to review! The building is huge compared to the size of the dining room. Turns out, brewing equipment makes up tons of space! They have large tables and a large bar. I've had some of their mixed drinks and will say then seem legit and strong but I am not a beer drinker so I can't give you a first hand on the beer but will tell you all my friends go out of the way to buy there stuff. Food, now I can tell you the food is great! My first trip here I ordered a pork belly dish. This was serve differently than any pork belly dish I've ever had. I was hesitant at first but once I tried it the explosion of honey and bacon in my mouth absolutely exploded in a deliciousness. They have an app that is these little peppers stuff with a goat cheese that just melted in your mouth! It was a great experience and my mouth is watering right now thinking about them. Maybe I should eat my lunch but reviews are life. Service is always good! friendly staff. Really clean place. I'm not sure if this is consider high end but on the flavor chart it's pretty high. One thing that sets some back at first is the shared seating. They don't really have individual tables. They are large and you share with strangers. We all seen stranger things, so just come knowing you might make new friends with others at your table. The customer base is a really good group of people. It was disappointed at first knowing that I'm at a brewery without the risk of a biker gang brawl breaking out at any time. But the feeling of safety and serenity quickly replaced any doubts. Hardware store is where it all began (or at least for me). This location offers that true micro brewery feel that brix doesn't. The beer selection is fantastic and their smaller batches make a menu appearance here only (personal fave is the Pb&j one). The staff are always excellent: friendly, knowledgeable, attentive but not too much so. The much smaller menu has some decent offerings, I've really enjoyed the pork mojo tacos and the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Their appetizers are good too including the Buffalo chicken dip and the chips in queso (I do find them to be a bit pricey for the portion size though and while good not anything overly special). My fiancé and I like to split the soft pretzel a nice fair sharing size for two people and fairly priced!
