I stayed at Beacher's Lodge this past weekend while visiting a friend in St. Augustine. This establishment is like a cross between a hotel and condo. Each room has a kitchenette, living area, and bedroom. The buildings are definitely older and the flooring was completely tile in our room but other than that everything was fine. The staff was definitely very friendly and answered my requests in a very timely manner. The best part is that this place is ON the beach! We had a great view of the pool (saltwater) and the beach from our balcony-- the shore is only a short walk away (see pics). I would definitely consider returning to stay here. Four stars because I wish the place was a little more updated. :)

We loved staying here! My husband and I went to the beach every day. We sat on the balcony every night and watched the sunset. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for cooking. I love that some of the rooms are pet friendly as well as the beach. I loved seeing all the dogs playing. I'm hoping to bring our own dogs when we come back-- and we will definitely be coming back!

View from 231 overcast morning but still a great view

Oceanfront 1 BR suites: your own private balcony, steps to pristine beach and ocean. Pool side accommodates every age. Dog friendly so pooch doesn't have to stay home. Stay in with a good book and cook your own meals or walk to stellar seafood nextdoor at South Beach Grill. Minutes from historic St.Augustine and intercoastal. 30+ yrs of great memories- we will definitely be back. Check web page for pics of room. Call directly for best rates.

This is our second stay at Beachers Lodge, and we love it and will continue to stay here when visiting. You can disregard the earlier review for unit 319, as everything was perfect. All units have an oceanfront view, as well as a balcony with a table and 2 chairs. Our unit was nicely decorated with a beach decor, and included a large toaster oven as well. As far as the office personnel, I have no idea what a previous reviewer could have been talking about, since we have found them quite friendly, helpful, and appreciative of our patronage. The beach is huge, at least a hundred yards from the sand dunes to the water's edge at low tide. St Augustine is about 10 miles away, and lots to do there. Don't miss the Fort, El Castillo de San Marco, and the Lightner Museum was enjoyable too. (Check out Groupon) Definitely looking forward to another stay here.

This is an absolute gem at Crescent Beach. We fell in love with Beacher's lodge. We enjoyed it so much that we rebooked for a second time before leaving Florida. We stayed at first on the fourth floor then on the second first floor. They are dog friendly. The pool is wonderful! The beach view is unparalleled. The front desk service was helpful. We needed maintenance once, and he was super friendly. Housekeeping was great! I don't have enough positive words to say about this location. We definitely plan to return and stay much longer! I highly recommend Beacher's Lodge.

First off it is on the beach We got a gold king room ! Tiny ! Can lighting does not work ! Furniture is very dated ! Not even a sofa some weird bed with no arm rest to look like a sofa ! Rusty refrigerator ! Sliding door does not lock has a stick as well as the bedroom window !!! Decor is dated ! Shower is nice and so are fans ! Air unit does not cool living area ! If you want to just hang out on the beach all day this is a good spot. As far as somewhere nice on the inside not so much. Elevator is very scary. We stayed in room 322wifi is awful ! Will we return ? Probably not .

    Old worn out chair.

We have been staying at Beachers for the last 10 years and have slowly watched the place go downhill. I told my wife last year that we would give it one more year and I am sorry we did. We stayed in room 128 because the rates were reasonable but we were sorely disappointed. The furniture looked to be 20 years old and all we had in the kitchenette was a hotplate and microwave. The sliding glass door was broken and had no lock only a piece of pvc pipe to protect our stuff when we were away. Anyone at anytime could have waked in and that is particularly scary when u have a 16 y/o daughter sleeping in the living room every night. I knew it was futile to complain to management because they have told me in the past that it is up to the owner to keep the apartment updated. Pool rules were never enforced: seriously overcrowded, food and cigarette buttes everywhere as well as music blasting. Also the grills were filthy. Without a doubt this was our last year. On a positive note the rooms were clean and the staff is accommodating.

View from our balcony on the 3rd floor.

Just a quick getaway - individually owned units? Ours was comfortable, clean, old. Beachfront balcony. Nice pool area and beachfront.

Unfortunately the balcony rooms on the Bayfront were unavailable, so we booked a corner balcony room overlooking the historic district buildings and iconic streets filled with boutique stores. We were on the second floor overlooking Charlotte Street/Treasury Street. We could hear the live music from the Saints restaurant next door at night. Very little car noise at night. Public street parking maybe hard to find during busy times such as July 4th weekend and the lots were slightly expensive. Luckily most restaurant and local attractions were walkable so we left our car in the hotels, where the valet was also expensive but convenient. You can also buy a ticket to the Hop off and Hop on trolley right at the Hilton front desk, which takes you to the different tourist attractions that was slightly farther away. For July 4th, the hotel had a BBQ in front of the hotel. It was nicely done. The staff went above and beyond to make the event enjoyable for the guests. Tents were set up for outdoor seating, to eat grilled food, drink and listen to music. At night, you can see the fireworks right outside the hotel. Highly recommend and would definitely come back to this hotel when we visit St. Augustine again.

And we had one of the most delicious hotel breakfasts I have ever had..well prepared and fresh. The room rate is insane in June; one night with valet was close to $500. But it's a great location and property. It's wonderfully decorated during the holidays, too. But listen, it's an awkward layout (like much of St Augustine) and now that I travel with an elderly parent, I tend to notice these things. There are ADA rooms but this property consists of different buildings, walk ways, elevators, and hallways. Be prepared and call the hotel for information. They are great. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. We usually stay at Casa Monica, but they need to update the rooms there and we are so happy with this property now.

The room was nice and spacious, with odd closets, but they worked for the time we were spending there. They also had robes if we needed to be bougie and prance around. We slept well and had a nice view of the square between the Lightner Mansion and Flagler College. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. They gave good recommendations on how to get around Saint Augustine, which had been a minute for me, so it was good to get a refresher. Sparkling wine at the front desk when we checked in was excellent and helped us unwind after the drive from South Florida. They have a gym and pool that I believe is accessible through the second floor, so I will have to remember that for our return trip. Also, they have a Starbucks on the lobby floor, which was great to get our morning pick-me-up. The bar and restaurant were very stylish, lots of Spanish influence from the 15th and 16th centuries. The cocktails were also solid. I didn't care for the water pressure and temperature, as they were difficult to adjust and ensure we were getting the correct settings. It was pretty scalding hot, so it took a couple of minutes to get it right, and then I kept it on the setting for my wife since I didn't want her struggling to mess with it. Apart from that, the experience was great. We enjoyed the sparkling wine and the accommodations when we checked in. The valet was good to have, as I didn't want to mess with street parking, but it is more expensive; take note.

The lower level period touches and decor are divine, and the location is just about perfect -- close to everything the old town has to offer. The guest rooms though? Eh, for a so-called 'resort' I was not blown away. I get the historical angle and an old building and all, but unfortunately (in my experience) that usually means a compromise on some level. Sure, the bed was very comfy, but the shower - and bathroom in general - was mediocre at best, with dated fixtures and not so great pressure. The room was fairly small-- fine for a solo traveler like me --- made interesting with matching eclectic furniture but not at luxury level. Just pointing it out.

The Voco was an ideal place to stay. It is a modern boutique hotel and about a 10 minute walk from downtown St. Augustine. Everyone we met on the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I felt ZERO ghostly spirits around and no bad juju, which is hard to find in St. Augustine, honestly. Everything was super clean and crisp-looking. It was quaint and quirky, but I enjoyed that about the hotel. It wasn't your run-of-the-mill hotel. The room came with a big TV, a very cozy bed, and a bigger-than-usual mini fridge, which was AMAZINGGG because we had made a pit stop at Buc-ee's for birthday treats and fun... I am obsessed with IHG's bathroom products. Their shampoo is incredible. And the room was pretty quiet- we didn't hear our neighbors. The bar area looked really tempting. We heard the breakfast there is realllllly good- unfortunately, we didn't have time to hang out at the bar or have breakfast. We did pop into the littleee convenience/shop area for a pint of ice cream which hit the spot after coming home from dinner. There is free covered parking below the hotel (and more parking available outside), which is super convenient. The gym looked nice. I love that they had laundry machines. The ice machine was always fully stocked and working. We had a great stay at Voco and really enjoyed our 3 days there. I highly recommend it and would stay there again.
