Around back at night.

From 0 stars to 5 thanks to Bert at the front desk who saved our vacation! Covid review: My wife and I pull up. An old lady with white/blond hair starts yelling at me. I walked away and figured we'd leave. But Bert took care of the situation as that woman was a nobody employee. Our stay was fantastic and we can't wait to go back. The coquina walls are thick and beautiful the old Florida charm was overwhelming. Sure it's old and has a few flaws but if you want to lay in the pool and pretend it's 1933 this is the place.

Wonderful place to stay! Loved everything about it! Judi and Burt are wonderful staff, super friendly. Already looking in to booking my trip back with my mom. Loved it here.

Our family of six stayed in a villa for a week, and we all fit very comfortably. The beauty of the…read moreliving area was impressive as soon as we opened the door. The colors and style were very warm. The table was sturdy and set with eight chairs. I don't like fake plants, and the place had them in every room, but it is just a taste difference. Many of the table ornaments were boxes that my kids kept wanting to put things in, eep, very nervous that we would leave something behind because kids hid it. The kitchen was very nice to use with bowls and spoons for cereal, glasses for water or wine, mugs for coffee, a full sized coffee maker in the room, dishwasher and a full sized fridge. With a grocery store just down the road, it was easy to fill the fruit basket-pantry-fridge with everything we needed. The kid bedrooms were decorated beach or nautical and had their own sinks but shared a tub/toilet part of the bathroom. Pocket doors made the tight bathroom spaces less snug. The master bedroom was lovely of course. The mattress was certainly not one I'd want at home but worked fine for a week. Ceiling fans all over kept the rooms cool and air fresh. The patio was really cool during rain but totally useless otherwise because of mosquitos. The ceiling fan outside probably helped but walking on thousands of dead bugs to sit outside didn't appeal to me. The night we checked in, we found a couple maintenance issues, and a very nice man was able to help us the next morning. Housekeeping kept us in towels and took out trash every day. They were great. Maybe it's a California thing, but I had a real problem throwing out cans and bottles. They don't have a way to recycle.

If you're looking for a place where you'll feel genuinely celebrated, I highly recommend this…read moreresort! I had an incredible experience at the Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa! I called the morning of check-in to see if they could help me surprise my husband for his birthday, and the staff truly exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and even a birthday song at check-in, which immediately set the tone for a special stay. When we got to our room, there was a thoughtful birthday card waiting for us--such a personal touch. The team also gave us excellent recommendations for where to find a key lime pie (his favorite birthday dessert), which made the celebration even better. A huge thank you to Pablo, Jackie, and Jennifer for going above and beyond to make the weekend so memorable. I couldn't recommend this resort more!

From the outset, the resort was misleading about what we were purchasing. We booked what was clearly represented as a golf package. Upon arrival, we were told we did not have access to golf that day. Golf was a primary reason we selected this resort. Clear, accurate representation of packages is not optional at this price point. When a resort markets itself as a premier golf destination, transparency matters. The accommodations did not reflect the luxury image presented online. The villa was outdated and worn, amenities did not function properly (including a broken coffee maker), and we experienced repeated unnecessary disturbances from staff knocking and ringing the doorbell. The condition and service level were inconsistent with what was advertised. Even more troubling was the professionalism of a golf manager during our stay. This individual winked at my minor son in a way that was inappropriate and made both of us uncomfortable. Regardless of intent, that type of interaction with a child is unacceptable in a professional hospitality setting. When I calmly raised concerns about the golf package confusion, the condition of the villa, and the overall experience, management responded with deflection rather than accountability. I was even told I should have given advance notice regarding my son's disability and booked a "disability room." That comment demonstrates a serious lack of training in guest relations and ADA awareness. This is not about minor inconveniences. It is about misleading representations, unprofessional conduct, inadequate accommodations, and a failure of leadership to take responsibility when legitimate concerns are raised. At this price level, guests should not have to push repeatedly to be heard. Transparency, professionalism, and respect -- especially toward families and minors -- should be baseline standards. Corporate leadership should take a close look at how packages are marketed, how villas are maintained, and how staff are trained. What we experienced fell significantly short of what is promised.

This was our second stay at this property. We really like the units--they're very spacious and have…read moreexcellent indoor lighting, which makes a big difference given the limited natural light. The unit was clean and comfortable overall, though the sofa and recliner are quite worn and could use replacing. The TV was new, but not set up correctly when we arrived, and after setup it offered only a few basic channels, so we had to rely on the free Roku streaming service for entertainment. The most frustrating issue was the bed foundation, which sticks out at the corners. It's easy to bump into, so be cautious around the bed.

My sons and I visited for 3 nights over the holidays while we visited family in the area. Upon…read morefirst appearance, the room (Room 3A) was very nice. However, I was woken up at 1am to the sounds of my son screaming from the guest room. He had bed bugs crawling all over him and they were all over the bed. I immediately called guest services and they had the security guard move us to the last remaining room. He was very helpful and apologetic. We left the most exposed belongings in the room to be properly sanitized. The second room we were moved to (Room 17A) was absolutely disgusting and appeared to have never had any upkeep or care. Everything was outdated and holes were sloppily patched over. Upon doing a thorough bed bug search in this room, the mattresses in the bedrooms appeared to be okay but the one on the sofa bed had potential remnants of bed bugs. When we called guest services, we were told there were no other available rooms. My son that had been bitten by the bed bugs was very traumatized by the event and decided to sleep in the cold car rather than risking it with another mattress. Needless to say, none of us slept that first night. The manager called the next morning a little after 9am and offered us a new room (Room 13B). This was a very nice room and did not seem to have any bed bugs. The only compensation the hotel would agree to was to reimburse us for the first night and refund our resort fees (which are ridiculous considering the fact that the property is run down and has very little in the way of amenities). My sons and I ended up spending over 1/3 of our trip moving our belongings, sanitizing everything, and repeatedly washing and drying clothes to ensure that we did not bring any critters home with us. After moving to 17B on our 2nd morning, I took a drive over to 3A to make sure that we did not leave any belongings behind. I immediately noticed that the room had been completely made up, looking as though they were readying it to be rented out again. I questioned the housekeeping Manager about it and she stated that it would be illegal for them to rent the room out before having it inspected. However, it was suspicious as to why they would make up the room if it was going to be inspected. Do not stay here!
