St. Augustine RV Resort Review: EVICTION WARNING LONG STORY ‼ We are a family of 5 with 3 small (3,2,1 year old boys) and two dogs. We own a home in St. Augustine and love being in this area. We are full time living in a 5th wheel traveling for a year. Crazy...we know! We've decided since we are home visiting family for holidays we would bounce back and fourth between Sun Outdoors Saint Augustine and St. Augustine RV Resort. This is our second time long term stay with St. Augustine RV Resort and last time was not that great but they were still under construction so understandable. Our second stay has been AWFULL. If you are in the area GO to Sun Outdoors!! We stayed 6 weeks at Sun Outdoors (through thanksgiving) and are currently staying at St. Augustine RV Resort till this Friday Dec 15th. We were suppose to be here through January 7th but we are being EVICTED. So heres the deal: We checked in at St. Augustine RV resort on Wednesday November 30th at 6pm and on Friday December 2nd I was approached by two women and a sticky note around 3pm. They told me that my family had many complaints about dogs barking no stop ( not the case at all, not even a little bit) and lots of noise before 8am. Two of my kids go to daycare/preschool 3 days a week (MWF) from 9am till 2 or 3pm. The parks quiet hours are between 10pm and 7am. My kids were never just outside the camper before 8am and if we were outside we were getting in the car. I told these nice ladies that l'm sorry for the loud noises and I will absolutely make sure my dogs never bark again! I also stated that I have a 3, 2 and 1 year old boys. I said "I will try to keep them as quiet as possible but they are kids". They seemed to really understand that 3 small children are hard to keep quiet. I agreed to keep them quiet in the morning as much as possible, night time didn't matter because they are in bed by 7:30/8pm. THIS RESORT IS NOT KID FRIENDLY!! I told them to let me know if it continues to be a problem and we will leave and go back to Sun Outdoors (where we were for 6 weeks before SARVR) We have never had a complaint not one, ZERO complaints ever. They actually were sad to see us go and they loved our children. My wife went to the office starting at 8am (when they open) and they did not open until 10:30am that day. They began to tell her that I stated that I wouldn't try to resolve the noise and I was non compliant with their rules and policies. Not true! They stated they told me three times about complaints also not true, it was ONLY that one time when we first got there and we were there for less then 48 hours. They've stated that dozens of complaints came in "even from parents with kids. #BS They also stated that they had to move so many people, the park has been empty and I have never seen anyone setup and then breakdown and be moved because of my 3 kids. The few people around us that we asked said "normal noise" and "we admire and praise you for doing this with 3 kids and two dogs". It's 12 days from Christmas and it will be 10 days before when we have to leave. Two children with colds and one with a fever, absolutely no mercy! This place is NOT a premium resort like advertised, they have nothing to offer for kids or campers. No events, (the one they did offer stated "no kids" on the flyer. The tiny pool is open but it's December in FL with no heater so good luck with that. No park for the kids to play at and the grassy area by the fire pits are not to be used to play any kind of sports etc. They do have beautiful lots but that's about it! I pray that this Resort gets it together and the people running this place figure out if they want to cater to kids and families or the older folk.

Definitely recommend this campground for either overnight or spend some time and visit the area. Campground is impeccably maintained.

I want to start by saying this review is based on a pre-stay visit (I was checking this place out…read morefor a future stay) - I dropped in Sun Outdoors while staying at another campground in the area. I stopped in at the front office as anyone who is just checking out a campground should do - We were greeted by Karen and she was just wonderful as I explained the purpose of our visit - she described a lot of the amenities and also the online website and suggested calling her directly when we were ready to book our site. After requesting a drive-through she graciously opened the gate to allow us to explore the campground on our on and it goes without saying we were respectful of the posted speed limits and the campers and their campsites. This is a very spacious campground that can accommodate all sizes of RVs, I loved that there are some rustic sites as well as large drive-through paved sites - there are some very nice facilities including a large club house and pool. The entrance off of Route 207 is very accessible and there is plenty of room to get into your site no matter which one you choose or what size rig you have. This is definitely a campground I'll stay at during a future visit to the St. Augustine area, there are a lot of good things going on here, a very friendly and accommodating staff, a very clean and well maintained campground and it's in close proximity to downtown...

Very nice RV Resort. More than half the spaces are nicely done pavers. Very flat and clean. We…read moreappreciate no rocks or dirt getting in the RV. Beautiful grounds. Very nice and responsive staff. Our cable didn't work, but there is a good chance it was our fault. Great location near the old town area of St Augustine. We definitely recommend it.

Great place to stay!! Very friendly people! Park is small- adds to the appeal- and well kept. Lots…read moreare good sized with plenty of room for slide outs. It is a little tight getting in for a big rig but very doable! The price here is great! Would definitely stay here again!

1. When I arrived, I was told I did not have a reservation, then was told they accept nothing 8pm,…read moreof which I reserved online at about 5pm. 2. The lady on the intercom (Video I assume) at the entrance gate said they don't have a reservation even after I gave them the reservation number and showed them the confirmation on my email. 3. After15 minutes, of waiting, they said they cant do anything for me. Then after going back and forth, they tell me someone will meet me at the gate. 4. A guy arrives at the gate with his sidearm saying and I quote " Are you kidding me, bad time of the night bud, bad time of the night". 5. He proceeds to say, I will let you in, but, and I quote "Don't ever come back here again". I said to the guy, sir I have a reservation (showing him my email confirmation" he goes "I don't care, I will get you in for one night, and you leave in the morning" normally minimum of 2 night stay, and I paid $50 cash to let me in. 6. I can only surmise they saw me on the intercom camera, and didn't like the color of my skin, ruining my first trip with my family with my RV. Especially picking this site as being highly rated, of course of certain type and ethnicity. 7. There was no screaming on my part, I was very polite, as because of the guy approaching the car with his sidearm, left my kids very frightened. We did stay there the one night because of the time and left early in the morning per their request. 8. Not a very nice attempt at a RV Park, it just spoiled the experience, it was uncalled for and totally unsolicited, as such I will never go back per their request and mine.....
