Pool is no longer just for campers, the restaurant can now hand out passes to it customers. They have also taken over the pavilion and other amenities. Don't waste your money staying here. People poop in the shower, it's completely run down and disgusting. read more

Fantastic, I had a great experience, the pool has changed over the years, the hot tub has changed, I just think the pool area is great, the gift shop was nice, in fact we got free umbrella hats. 3 umbrella hats! It had a nice bathhouse. Very clean, good privacy. BUT there was a broken handle to the shower but it was on the perfect temperature. This resort is just really nice and big. I went here 2 times and I had an expectation for the future. I just want to say, this place is great! read more

We just left Ocean Grove, after staying for a week. This is my honest review. The resort is beautiful, the restaurant has wonderful food, and had a fabulous jazz band on Friday night. The laundry room has many washers, and extra-large dryers. There is what looks like a very nice pool and hot tub. Because of the cooler temperatures, we did not use either of these. Driving around the park, all campsites are beautiful, ours was nice and level. However, we were in site 101, and the people in site 102 had junk outside their trailer. I had to keep my blinds shut so I didn't have to look at their coolers, water bottles thrown all over the ground, towels on the ground, multiple pairs of shoes, jugs of oil, exercise equipment, and other piles of junk. In the rules and regulations, it clearly states that sites are to be kept neat, and all other sites in the park are kept very nice. I am not sure why this is allowed. IF we stay at this park again, I will check out the site to make sure it is acceptable before we set up. This was not a last-minute reservation. I made the reservation in April and was very upset that I had to look at this every day. read more

We stopped in to see how much the monthly rates were but the office closed, that's when we met Irish Mike!!! He gave us a brochure of the park and then we ask if we could drive thru and with no hesitation he lets us in and showed us the spots that will accommodate our RV, he was eager to show us around the park, especially the laundry room, that important to the wife, and she was quite impressed with the facility and we were very impressed with Mikes knowledge and patience. Ocean Grove it top notch! The staff is amazing, shout out to Susan and Mike who went above and beyond expectations. This is my second year here and it's even better. The pool with the bar and grill is super convenient and fun. While the folks at Ocean Grove RV Resort have nothing to do with the wind I have to say the constant ocean breeze is fantastic. They do do not allow camp fires there and it is not in the rules or in the terms. I would have gone somewhere else had I known that. We had fun at the pool on a Friday night. They had a really good two man band and the bar is right there at the pool. Very nice family atmosphere. If you've got a kayak, bring it. On the back side of the campground is the intercoastal, they have appear and a ramp. I hear the redfish and black drum fishing is great. read more

The RV park is clean and well maintained. A 12oz draft beer at the pool is $5.00, seems a bit high for campground pricing. I would have bought more at a lower price point, and they would have made more money. A small bag of ice is $3.20, the gas station a block down the road is cheaper or the Winn Dixie. There is no place to really walk your dogs so they're not doing their business on other campers sites. Even when you pick up after them, it's still odd. Irish Mike was excellent, helped this beginner pull into his site. There is an inexpensive and tasty pizza place next door and a seafood place next door that was amazing, also reasonably priced. read more

NEVER accept E104. The tree branches, posts, picnic table and street light make it so difficult to exit. No privacy between E104 and E105. Very poorly done. DO NOT LET THEM ASSIGN THIS SPOT. We were fortunate to have a great driver who could maneuver out without an issue. Poorly done! The resort is a great location and wonderful amenities. This spot sucked!!!! read more

While we like this RV campground because of it's nice pool complex with hot tub plus pool bar & grill with a bartender Robert who's very entertaining there was one disappointing fact we were unaware of prior to arrival which we felt was not considerate of RV guests staying. Pool memberships are sold to locals. Costs a family of 4 only $150 per year. While we paid nearly $100 per night for RV campsite. These families would show up daily causing pool overcrowding. Kids would take over the hot tub too which should be for adults. We had difficulty finding a lounge chair and this was back in May when kids should have still been in school. Being as that happened then I can't imagine how crowded the pool must be in the summer. read more

We were trying RV camping for the first time and picked Ocean Grove due to its dog friendly atmosphere and being close to the beach. Taking our over-sized sheepadoddle puppy (80 lbs and counting) was an important part of the planned experience so finding a place that checked all of the boxes was essential. Ocean Grove had it all. We arrived late due to traffic and rain but was surprised to be met by a very friendly welcoming committee. They helped us get in our reserved spot and offered lots of helpful hints and tricks. The park is beautifully maintained, user friendly and the people managing the park are over the top incredible. Our only concern happened on Thursday at the on-site restaurant and bar. We were told it was "pet friendly" but not explained that only was applicable to the uncovered patio. It wasn't until a full-time park resident explained that to us that we realized we were braking the rules. The waiter did not tell us that until we asked. The wait staff was very friendly and felt bad that we were leaving. But with the heavy down pour during dinner / Brain Time it was not feasible to move to the other patio. Just wish there was more clear instructions given so that we would not have made others uncomfortable in an otherwise fun setting. The park is definitely worth a visit with or without pets. Just recommend you ask for clear details on what areas are "dog friendly" and which are not. If you are looking for a dog friendly place to eat that is close by Oasis hit the spot. read more

Just spent a month here and loved it. The staff was great at both the campground office, Ebb Tide and the pool. Robin was great...she really makes you feel welcomed. Just spent 4 nights there in a motor home! It was very clean. The sites were spacious and well maintained. Each site had a grill,was level with a brick pad. The ocean was right across the street. There was a beautiful pavilion where you could go sit and watch the sunset at the marsh. It was lovely! The pool area was clean. The campground is very close to restaurants. Our family of 4 stayed here this past weekend in our 29 ft. Fifth wheel. The grounds are nice and everyone was friendly. Upon arrival, it was a little more full and we were having trouble getting the RV into our spot. The front desk employee (I'm so sorry for not catching her name) was kind and helped us out to relocate into a spot that was a little easier for us to navigate through and I thank her! We haven't been out in our RV for months. The park is conveniently located to the town, very minimal noise (if any at all!) and we had a great time exploring St. Augustine for the weekend! This park is worth the stay. After a very long day downtown, we came back to the park and hung out at the pool with some drinks for a little bit. Later, we tried the poolside restaurants nachos and pizza which were both, yummy! You can order online and simply, pick it up. Easy! We had no issues staying here, they have it all. Pool, food, clean bathrooms, fitness room, a store with RV essentials, and friendly people! My kids have asked to come back and stay here next time we are in St. Augustine! read more

I did my research before I thought to come look and told them specifically what I was looking for and Karen, pulled out a list just for my wife and I to look at. The previous owners have taken over the park a few years ago and made many improvements such as; new dock on the intercoastal, updating the roads, etc... the entrance of park is located on A1A and the back of the park is actually on the water (intercoastal). There is a nice dock you can fish off of and a very small ramp good for a VERY small boat (kayak). Its a great place to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset. The location of this park is great! Its got shady lots and most are grassy with a pad. The only complaint is that the internet is not that great and you may encounter issues when trying to use it. Pros; Location, pet friendly, good restaurants w/in walking distance to (oasis, hurricanes). Nice pool, basketball court, walking distance to the ocean! Before traveling to Saint Augustine I researched reviews about Ocean Grove RV resort. I am pleased to say that upon arrival I had a wonderful experience. The staff was very pleasant as I checked in at registration. I was provided a parking decal and a card to scan in order to enter the gate. This truly helped us feel like we were in a safe environment. When we reach our site, we found everything in good standing. It was easy Park our travel trailer into site F117. The site came equipped with a picnic table on a cement pad. The ground was pretty even but we did have to level the travel trailer on one side. This campground has a lot to offer but most importantly it was very quiet even though there were a lot of campers. The restrooms were always clean and seem to be newly renovated. We were very pleased with how conveniently located the campground was to the historical sites of Saint Augustine as well as shopping centers and restaurants. We would definitely camp at Ocean Grove RV campground again! Con: Wifi was easy to connect to but it was very slow. read more

We just stayed overnight so we could explore St. Augustine. The people were friendly. The space we had was grass and a little soft and we sunk in a little, our sewer hook up is very low and we had to move. They were very helpful in checking all available sites so we could make the sewer hose work. The laundry room was clean and a few of the machines weren't working but they still had six washing machines and eight dryers, two were out of order, $2.00 each. The front was gated and you had to use a pass card to get in and out, it felt like a safe place to stay. read more

First and foremost the pool at this place is a public pool that charges people $5 to use it . The pool is managed by the Ebb Bar and they have rules against bringing in your water and snacks. The pool is overrun with kids in diapers on the weekend . They should not advertise that the RV resort has a pool , it should state you have access to use the public pool on the property at no additional fee. Sites are nice and well maintained and have concrete pads. The fitness room is not operable after vandalism and management isn't repairing all the equipment. Laundry room on site but we do not use it . Boat launch and fishing pier for the marsh . No recycling here for garbage . Occasional issue with utilities not working . But overall it is a well kept park . I don't like being misled or paying for amenities that are not in place , ie fitness room . read more

Advertise they have WIFI. If you are lucky enough to connect, you can't download anything. 2mps, it is 1/2 the speed of dial up. When you mention it to them, they act like you are crazy to complain. They told me that their WIFI was just for local use, but we couldn't even get email to download. Yet they charge $75/night, premium prices. Most lots are not like those pictured in their ads. Long time campers had nothing but complaints. The water was turned off for hours due to maintenance which residents claim happens often. read more

My daughter and I stayed here recently for a couple of weeks. Overall I think it's a very decent place to stay. I give one star to the staff, who were always very professional and helpful, from the ladies at the front desk to the grounds and maintenance personnel; one star to the "resort" (I think that's a bit of a stretch but ok) itself, which was overall very clean, mostly quiet, and family friendly; one star to the pool and ebb tide, which was fun, clean, had extra activities including live music and decent food, and again family friendly; and one star for the atmosphere and location, which was near the beach, not far from the closest supermarkets and attractions, and the fact they had items in the front office. The gym wasn't anything to brag about, they need to update the equipment which is a safety hazard and add more free weights, although the running tracks were good and I appreciated that. But, I take one star away because of the bathrooms and specifically security there. There's only one showering facility with three stall for hundreds of people potentially. I had an old pervert literally walk into my shower stall once, and there was no way he was lost. I was the only one in there and the only one showering with my clothes on the bench. And the second experience was using the bathroom and having some dirty bag come into the adjacent stall and start masturbating. I guess he didn't realize shadows can be seen outside the stalls. But more importantly and to the point is that there are no locks for the girls bathroom and anybody could walk in there. After what I had experienced, I literally went to the restroom facility every time with my teen daughter and stood outside while she was using the facility. If you think that's extreme I highly suggest you read the news everyday. There are no locks. The behavior of the guests is not on the owners but the security is. I highly suggest to them that they invest some of the earnings (and I know they have to be making a lot off this place) into a separate bathhouse for the ladies with individual sinks, toilets and showers (eg the US Navy facilities I have been to do this very well) that are lockable. This is a problem and I suggest if you have young children that you stay with them if they use this facility....you can't ever be to careful. read more
