Not the same whiteys.down graded looks like the new cracker barrel inside and the food was like expensive fast food. Not good at all wasted $120.00 it is bad when you go out to eat in a place that cooks food and they can't even cook .

Stopped by for happy hour and dessert. We got a pound of peel and eat a shrimp (not included on happy hour) and the fried mushroom (half off). Was disappointed they no longer have their bread pudding, but we got the lava cake instead and it was delicious. Our server was great. She checked on us a lot and everyone else they're working was so polite. I got caught up, looking at all the critters hanging from the ceiling and almost bumped into one of them and we had a good laugh. This place has critters and decor all over the place which makes it very interesting to just look around. I thought the alligator fish was hilarious. He sat on the back patio and even though it was February, it was still very nice not too cold.

I met my future daughter-in-law! Brooklyn is an absolute sweetheart that we had the privilege of having as our lunch server on Saturday. This was my first-ever dining experience in Jacksonville, Florida, and it couldn't have made a better impression. The service was warm, friendly, and genuinely top-tier. From the host, to Brooklyn, to her mom Amy (yes, I got to meet my future in-laws), to even the random staff who rescued me when I got lost looking for the bathroom -- every single person we met was welcoming and kind. The Gilligan's Island-style atmosphere, complete with a gas pump on the outdoor deck, was new for me. I'm a Boston city guy now living in LA, so this kind of "Florida coastal dive-chic" was a first -- and I loved every bit of it. Food-wise? Phenomenal. The shrimp bisque was a revelation -- my first time trying it, since I've always been a lobster bisque loyalist. But this one? Creamy, buttery, and left an aftertaste so good it felt like the bisque kissed you back. The white wine cream pasta was so incredible I demolished it too fast, then kept picking at everyone else's food. I didn't realize how full I was until hours later... and even now, three days later back home in LA, I'm still craving it enough to plan another trip to Jacksonville before the year's out. I can't wait to come back. ... And Brooklyn (and Amy), I'll be sure to bring my sons (you can take your pick!).

Under new ownership and recently renovated, we decided to go with neighbors and give it a try again. The duality had deteriorated for several of the past few years. The new menu incorporates some of Harry's Cajun dishes and the fried food was reduced. New flooring and decor but true to the original fish camp vibe. A children's area has been added for young families and the pool room removed. Less of a bar scene atmosphere now. Service staff was retained from previous staff. With a visit of you have not gone in awhile. Wishing the new owners the best of luck!

This was my first visit, since Whitey's was purchased. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff is fabulous. The food...while very good, I wish there were some specialty dishes that aren't spicy, or at least optional on the spice. The grits are no longer savory. They're sweet grits, with a bit of spice. I will not order them again. The fish dip, crab cakes, and low country pasta were delicious. They definitely need larger glasses for beverages, especially in Florida heat, and with the addition of so many spicy dishes. I believe they had to refill my glass about 6 times! That's ridiculous for customers and the wait staff.

    Lots of empty glasses...

Wanted to try the new menu so gave it a try on Monday night. Service was incredibly slow, including getting food from the kitchen. Definitely not a good experience tonight.

Atmosphere is good, location is good, parking is an absolute nightmare, particularly on the weekend evenings. People are parking half a mile down the road and walking. Parking is so willy-nilly. The music is nice, the atmosphere is cool, the food is OK, it's not great, it's not terrible, it's just OK. They're selling the atmosphere not the food. We come here, maybe once every six months to listen to some music and hang out with some friends. I'm sure we'll continue to do so although after the last Parking debacle Ware, it took me 25 minutes to find a parking space driving in circles, I'm seriously rethinking it.

Well, we tried with new ownership. Too bad. We're really going to miss Whitey's. They have serious flow issues from seating people to making drinks to food. The place has 15 empty tables for an hour and people waiting out the door. No excuse for so many empty tables for so long. 2 hours to get a plate of food in front of me. No excuse for this terrible wait, except there may be only a cook or two today. Lots of service staff standing around, walking around, waiting around. Very very very slow service. Talked to management twice. Still waiting.

    Sitting outside is amazing.

The staff here is amazing, they are very friendly and they communicate everything via text if you opted in - for example I received text messages to make us aware of the food truck schedules, maintenance activities on the laundry and club house activities so do yourself a favor and opt in. The premium pull-through sites are very spacious, level and comes with a very large patio constructed with pavers and concrete borders although the parking site is a well executed compacted asphalt millings composite. I really like the amount of green space between the sites allowing some privacy and there is plenty of room to maneuver the wide paved roads no matter the size of your rig - this resort is beautiful and well maintained, all the utilities (sewer, water and electrical) are easily accessible with plenty of water pressure, I didn't use their wi-fi so I can't speak of its performance but a clear view of the sky allowed my on-board internet network to maintain a very strong signal during our entire stay. This is a RV Resort I plan to visit again and again since we love to visit St. Augustine, this location is only minutes from the city center so you can schedule a pickup by the trolly service for a day of adventure without having to deal with downtown parking fees. There's lots to love here with some affordable stay options...

I stopped in at the front office as anyone who is just checking out a campground should do - We were greeted by Karen and she was just wonderful as I explained the purpose of our visit - she described a lot of the amenities and also the online website and suggested calling her directly when we were ready to book our site. After requesting a drive-through she graciously opened the gate to allow us to explore the campground on our on and it goes without saying we were respectful of the posted speed limits and the campers and their campsites. This is a very spacious campground that can accommodate all sizes of RVs, I loved that there are some rustic sites as well as large drive-through paved sites - there are some very nice facilities including a large club house and pool. The entrance off of Route 207 is very accessible and there is plenty of room to get into your site no matter which one you choose or what size rig you have. This is definitely a campground I'll stay at during a future visit to the St. Augustine area, there are a lot of good things going on here, a very friendly and accommodating staff, a very clean and well maintained campground and it's in close proximity to downtown...
