I wish I had slept in my car. At least then it would've been comfortable and clean. I was very…read moretired so I did pass out for two hours, but then I woke up and was up all night because the bed was so creepy mushy spray all the pills were three different textures so disgusting. The overhead light didn't work. The barstools are broken. The closet door is falling off and everything is stained and grimy and just disgusting. Needless to say I woke up. I'm exhausted. My body is killing me and I checked out. I canceled the rest of my days. I'd rather sleep in my car or just go home.

The beach is accessible via two walkways with secured gates. There are a number of amenities at the facility including a heated pool (which stays pretty cold), a tennis court, a shuffleboard, and a community room complete with supplies for shuffleboard and tennis. There is also a small workout center which we did not use. The pool is kept super clean. The deck furniture is weather-worn and rusty but functional. The building itself shows age but is keep clean. The parking lot is small and will accommodate only one car per unit. If you get a unit that sleeps eight you need to fit them in one vehicle. Yikes. The grounds are nice and well kept with natural dune vegetation between condos and beach. We saw a large land turtle often while crossing the walk. The stairwells and elevators are kept tidy and are well lit. During the week of Christmas there was seldom a manager on site to answer question but she would return a call within 24 hours. We rented two units. 303 was dated but clean and had the best view of the beach and ocean. 303 is also pet friendly. 206 is lovely updated and well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped and owners go the extra mile to make sure you have what you need. 206 does not allow pets. Seasonal rates apply to both units. We spent many hours walking on the pristine beach and finding an occasional shell. We also enjoyed sitting on the lanai watching the fishing boats. So lovely. The complex is only 5 miles from St Augustine beaches and attractions. There are some great restaurants nearby. I can't wait to back. One of our best beach renters ever.

What makes this place unique is the beautiful tropical gardens. The down side is that it does not have a heated pool. All through the winter months ,the pool is unusable except for the most hardy. Also, if you have any trouble with mobility you will have great difficulty getting to the beach because there is a huge sand dune that you must climb over to get to the beach. There are two tennis courts and a hot tub. Many other resorts have more amenities. We give SeaWinds 5 stars for its excellent location, close to restaurants and shopping, beautiful gardens, ponds and wildlife, convenience of condos with garages and driveways. We make a point to support the business by continuing to order while we're there, and in the past, the staff has always been welcoming to families. Unfortunately, today was a very different experience. I was there with my 6- and 2-year-old, who are active, as most young kids are. I stayed close, followed them around, and made sure they weren't being disruptive. They were simply being kids--dancing, enjoying the music, and yes, occasionally walking in front of people. Each time, I apologized, and most guests were kind and understanding--many even smiling and saying they missed those ages. That positive experience changed when an employee approached me and said my children couldn't be running around. I completely understand the need for safety and respect for others, but it was disappointing to feel like children aren't embraced in what I believed was a relaxed, outdoor, family-friendly environment. We weren't in a formal dining space, but rather an open area where I thought families would be welcome. We've never had this issue before, even when my oldest was younger, which made it even more surprising. Sadly, this experience has us reconsidering where we spend our time, especially during such beautiful weather. If the expectation is a more adult-only environment, it may be helpful to communicate that clearly so families can make informed decisions. Just sharing our experience for other families who may be looking for a welcoming place to spend time together.

Sea Place 11209 was the worse condo we have ever stayed in. We are covered with ant bites from the…read morebed. We were told the condo was new, but it is very old. Screens are so rusted they wouldn't close, one door was almost imposable to shut. It just went through the worse remodeling. The cheap floors are buckled and cracked so bad that my wife thought the second floor was to cave in. The light fixture over the dining room keeps flickering, making us worry about the place burning down. They had remote light switches that were so poorly installed that when you remove them the holder came off the wall. The kitchen cabinets had this very cheap vinyl heat shrink that was very poorly installed. You could see where the walls were touched up by painting spots with unmatched paint color, you would think for remolding, they would paint all the walls.. All day the walls were banging from the apartment next door being remodeled. This kept the outside deck and chairs covered with sawdust. The beach access was nice.
