The beach is accessible via two walkways with secured gates. There are a number of amenities at the facility including a heated pool (which stays pretty cold), a tennis court, a shuffleboard, and a community room complete with supplies for shuffleboard and tennis. There is also a small workout center which we did not use. The pool is kept super clean. The deck furniture is weather-worn and rusty but functional. The building itself shows age but is keep clean. The parking lot is small and will accommodate only one car per unit. If you get a unit that sleeps eight you need to fit them in one vehicle. Yikes. The grounds are nice and well kept with natural dune vegetation between condos and beach. We saw a large land turtle often while crossing the walk. The stairwells and elevators are kept tidy and are well lit. During the week of Christmas there was seldom a manager on site to answer question but she would return a call within 24 hours. We rented two units. 303 was dated but clean and had the best view of the beach and ocean. 303 is also pet friendly. 206 is lovely updated and well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped and owners go the extra mile to make sure you have what you need. 206 does not allow pets. Seasonal rates apply to both units. We spent many hours walking on the pristine beach and finding an occasional shell. We also enjoyed sitting on the lanai watching the fishing boats. So lovely. The complex is only 5 miles from St Augustine beaches and attractions. There are some great restaurants nearby. I can't wait to back. One of our best beach renters ever.

There wasn't a king bed anywhere in the condo unit. It was not even a queen bed. It was a full size bed. 2 adults planned on sleeping in the master, instead I had to sleep on a couch. I paid over $900 for 3 days and no one has reached out to make it right. Hotels.com contacted them asking for a partial refund on my behalf and apparently it was declined. It smelled bad, roach on the floor when we walked in, ripped wall paper, something nasty on the blinds. I emailed 10 minutes after I got there- heard nothing. I reached out again when I turned in the key- Morgan Cook said management was out of town and would reach out in a few days and make it right- 2 months later, nothing. I am a property owner that rented with Vacation Rental Beach Properties.  I have had several issues…read morewith this management company.  No one checks on the properties after the cleaners are done and several times I have found the properties dirty when a new renter is set to check in.  This looks bad on the property owner, but it is a problem with the management company not doing a good job.  I would not recommend using their management services as they do not manage the properties well.  I have also had several issues with broken items not being documented and/or fixed, which again, reflects bad on the property but is a management issue.

Screens are so rusted they wouldn't close, one door was almost imposable to shut. It just went through the worse remodeling. The cheap floors are buckled and cracked so bad that my wife thought the second floor was to cave in. The light fixture over the dining room keeps flickering, making us worry about the place burning down. They had remote light switches that were so poorly installed that when you remove them the holder came off the wall. The kitchen cabinets had this very cheap vinyl heat shrink that was very poorly installed. You could see where the walls were touched up by painting spots with unmatched paint color, you would think for remolding, they would paint all the walls.. All day the walls were banging from the apartment next door being remodeled. This kept the outside deck and chairs covered with sawdust. The beach access was nice.

No problem! if you have your scanner key you can go straight to the boardwalk and go to the beach. If you get a little sandy or your chair needs a quick rinse off... We found a large number of cockroaches in rental. We packed up and left immediately after we…read morestarted seeing them crawling around, and it was during daylight hours. Unfortunately, we had wanted to leave upon arrival after initially inspecting the rental. The listing and reality were completely different. There was stained furniture and bedding, we ended up finding mold around some windows. A broken closet door, inoperable sliding pocket door, unusable top bunks of bunk beds. The entrance doors had large gaps between the frames and doors. The paint job inside was cheap, sloppy, lazy. Kitchen cabinets had a large amount of chipped paint and rusted hinges. I have a large number of photos as proof. I reported this cleanliness and maintenence issues after our arrival inspection. The host basically called me a liar and said he wanted to see proof even though I sent him pictures and he claimed to have just done an inspection shortly before our arrival. If we weren't more than 17 hours from home with no other place to stay we would have left right after we inspected it. The host even mockingly said he would give me a discount for a return visit if I ever wanted to come back after trying to work things out with him. I am sad and disgusted and feel robbed of my hard earned vacation time and money. The house wasn't even as close to the beach as was claimed. I truly would love to be able to give 0 stars, but that is not allowed so they get 1 star. If I have to fish for something to account fir the one star I guess I could say...hmm...it had a nice microwave? ​Oh I almost forgot to mention the bathroom. It was far smaller than described. I am not tall and the shower head at max height touched my head. I could also not sit facing forward on the toilet due to how close it is to the shower.

Not to mention the fact that we were a few steps away from the beach as well. The unit was also large, bright and sunny. It had a beautiful modern kitchen which opened to the living room which was wonderful. My husband & I spent mornings walking on the beach and on the days that we wanted to explore we would take a short drive to the Fort or the Lighthouse or the Historic District. We also had our choice of dozens of restaurants if we didn't feel like cooking. We will definitely be back!
