I used to live on the property of ocean gallery for years until I found a house that I truly loved and had to move. But the time I stayed there was so much fun and it was hard to go. They have everything you want and need to enjoy a beautiful break from your daily routine so that you can relax, beautiful pools, beautiful beaches, tennis, pickle ball, shuffle board, basketball court, access to beach from private exits.. the staff is so amazing and helpful you can tell they truly love what they do and want you to have fun and the best experiences. We stayed here for a good 10 days or so. We booked a family vacation in May and my wife's family used to come to Ocean Gallery every summer in years past. It was very easy for us to get our pass as the front is manned by security... I want to say 24/7. Our room was on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Our room was very clean upon arrival. Two bed, two bath with a kitchen and large sitting area. Any time we came in contact with staff they were always very friendly. The pool area gets cleaned every morning and is a pretty decent size. Granted, we came on memorial weekend, but their was still enough space for my family to sit out by the pool. A quick walk down the little boardwalk they have gave you access to the beach, which if you've never been to St. Agustine, is a beautiful beach. I hope that we can continue the tradition of coming this this wonderful beach resort. read more

THE OCEAN GALLERY REVIEW: 310 PREMIER VISTA WAY In planning for our one week yearly summer beach getaway to St. Augustine, we came across a lovely beach condo at the Ocean Gallery. It was the most expensive rental place for us so far (over $3000), but it had a beautiful view of the beach and looked very nice in the pictures. What we found upon arriving was the exact opposite of what was in the ad. All of the things wrong should have been caught if the complex was managed well and they checked each unit BEFORE it was rented to the next guest! Let me list the many things that we found: The bathroom sink in the second bath barely drained. Th toilet in the second bathroom was loose and the maintenance people said they needed to replace it, so to be very careful in using it. The toilet in the first bathroom ran all the time. The screen porch screen was off its track. The closet door was also off track. The door to the patio was broken and could not be locked. Broken baseboard pulled away from the wall in the main bedroom. Old, stained, and torn furniture on the patio. (I have a great picture). Along with all of these problems, the kitchen and the glass patio doors were SO FILTHY that we had to go out and buy cleaning supplies to wash the doors and cabinets in the kitchen before we would consider putting our food in the cabinets or enjoying the patio. Because it was LABOR DAY WEEKEND, we were not able to talk to the management the day that we arrived. So we enjoyed St Augustine as best we could, but a few days before we left, we spoke to Anne, the manager of the Ocean Gallery. We were very unsatisfied with her response...that is the main reason I wanted to let other renters know that this company is ONLY interested in getting your money but not in keeping you happy! It should be the responsibility of the rental company to check our each unit BEFORE it is rented! The renter should not have to bring such a long list to the management while they are trying to enjoy their one-week beach vacation! This is NOT THE TRUE GEM that I always look for and I would say RENTERS BEWARE OF THE OCEAN GALLERY!! It is NOT MANAGED WELL!!! read more

I just spent a fantastic week here and loved just about everything about the place. The grounds are beautiful. You can tell that they take great care in keeping them up. The pools are crystal clear and very refreshing. Our unit sat on a pond with fountains that was beautifully maintained. There was tons of lush St Augustine grass and well maintained palms throughout. Every employee that we crossed paths with either waved or said hello. The employees that we talked to were all very friendly. I'd love to eventually own my own condo here. Not much negative to say except that the pools open too late (9:30am) and that there are no recycling stations on the grounds. People go through a ton of aluminum cans and bottles on vacation that shouldn't be thrown in a dumpster. read more

This place deserves 100 stars! It is a absolute pleasure to stay here. Everyone from the front desk to the landscapers and property owners are kind and welcoming. Staying in a place like this you tend to deal with not so happy owners who can't stand tourist. I struck up a conversation with a resident in a he literally said he loves the tourist. Everyone you see is friendly and welcoming. The property is beautifully maintained and my husband and I hope to retire here one day. Whatever they are doing here they are doing it right! read more

The Ocean Gallery is a wonderful family beach spot, seven miles from the Ancient City. The Vistas have beachfront and ocean view. The 2 bedroom ocean view I stayed in had a silver rating...which meant the kitchen and baths needed newer styled cabinets, but it meant the price of the rental was lower and everything was clean, and well maintained. The condo had a million dollar view. The staff was fabulous, and during the Summer you have umbrellas and chaise lounges on the the beautiful beach. There is a heated indoor-outdoor pool by the clubhouse, and a pool by the Vistas, and a direct walkway to the beach. Bicycles can be rented and you can ride on the beach or cycle into the city..which has 450 years of history. read more

I've been vacationing in St Augustine since I was a little kid and have always wanted to stay at the Ocean Gallery. It definitely didn't disappoint once I got the chance to stay here. The grounds and buildings are so well maintained and pristine looking. The view of the ocean and beach from our oceanfront unit were amazing. I throughly enjoyed using the hot tubs and heated indoor/outdoor pool especially in January. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay on our vacation then The Ocean Gallery, and I look forward to staying here again in the future. read more

We had booked a room at a "resort" that turned out to be a dump. The next day we started searching for something else last minute of course. All the hotels were sold out. We found this place!! Our group ended up saving 50 bucks a piece over a hotel and this place was absolutely gorgeous!!! We had 3 couples all with babies under 1. Our condo was clean and fully stocked with pots pans wine glasses etc. The staff was incredibly friendly and a genuine pleasure to deal with. The pool the beach, close to everything, what more can u ask for. We will def be booking this place next time we are in St. Augustine!! read more

We have been vacationing at the Ocean Gallery for the past 15 years. Regardless of what unit we rented, the Village or the Vistas, we have always enjoyed our vacation experiences. This year we chose the Vista's ocean view, the condo was lovely and clean. The kitchen had been recently renovated and well stocked. My husband, myself, and my 2 children checked into the Ocean Gallery for our family beach vacation. On Sunday July 10th my husband and my 3 month old infant walked out the sliding glass doors to watch the sunrise. As soon as my husband stepped foot out the door he walked into a spider web. He immediately started looking for the spider on him and on my son. After not seeing one on them he looked around our patio and saw a Spider in the top corner of the sliding glass door. We sprayed it with sunscreen and took a flyswatter to get it out of the corner to determine the type of spider. Imagine our shock to discover it was a black widow! Later that day my husband and my 2 year old were flying a kite outside the patio and my husband found another Spider. This one was a Brown Widow and is pictured in the white bowl. He found this one in the other corner of the sliding glass doors of our patio. To say the least I am at this point less than happy and extremely worried for the safety of our infant and our 2yr old son, my husband, and myself. By this point it is after 4pm and their office is closed and we are unable to notify anyone of the issues. That same night around 11pm I was attempting to sleep, already not able to because I was thinking of the Black and Brown Widow spiders we saw earlier, when I felt something crawl across my arm. I quickly swatted it off, turned on the light only to find a brown spider of some kind crawling on the carpet beside my bed not even a foot from where my infant was sleeping in his sleeper. You can see the spider in the carpet as well as in the water cap lid in the pictures. This was the final straw. We could not risk the safety of our family any longer. We immediately began to pack up our bags so we could leave this spider infested condominium! Our final belongings we needed to load were our 2 beach chairs from the patio. We opened the sliding glass doors, turned on our phone flashlights and found 2 more spiders with egg sacs that looked exactly like the black widow we found earlier. Needless to say we left our beach chairs (which were $80 a piece- $160 down the drain) for risk that we did not want to bring the spiders nor their eggs into our vehicle. We left The Ocean Gallery at 1:30am to drive back to Gainesville. The entire vacation has been ruined and we are not happy with the situation. My family was put in danger and expected to live in unsafe surroundings. The condominium itself had not been throughly cleaned and the patio was disgusting. There were numerous dead bugs and Spider webs all over once we began to really look around and search the condo. We found another spider in the sliding glass door track and as we loaded the garbage to take it to the shoot 1 more was on the garbage bag! This is now 7 total spiders in 1 day!! I don't expect to spend over $1361 for 3 nights to live in these conditions. I understand you can not control everything, but a basic cleaning, spraying off the patio on a regular basis, brushing the sliding glass door off with a broom at the very least, and pesticide/ spider removal maintenance is expected especially at the price we were paying. We notified the Ocean Gallery gate guard as to why we were leaving and told him how upset we were. I called the office of Ocean Gallery as soon as they opened to notify their management. I am appalled at the unconcerned attitude of the manager and general manager. After it took her 4 days to get back with me, the manager said her maintenance guy did not find any spiders and they must not be there anymore. He did, however find spider webs! Well, don't spiders build spider webs and aren't Black widow spiders nocturnal! Maybe looking during the daytime is not the best time to find them! I have their exact locations in my pictures and your maintenance guy needs to go back at night! But right there you are admitting there are webs, meaning spiders built those webs and your glass doors were not cleaned. See the pictures below that show multiple spiders in webs, in the corners of the sliding glass doors, with egg sacs, and crawling up the leg of one of the patio chairs!!! Please google what a black widow spider bite can do to an adult much less a child or an infant! The bite causes significant health issues to a healthy adult and can be deadly to an infant or child! The black widow is 15 times more venomous than the prairie rattlesnake and the Brown widow is 5 times more venomous than the black widow. I fear for the next family that stays at Ocean Gallery and risks their health and their children's lives because the Ocean Gallery management did not take my complaint seriously. The Black widow spider is extremely dangerous and eradication should be taken very seriously!!! Pictures are on my Facebook page! read more

I would not recommend staying here. While it's true it's a great location, beautiful beach etc- there are no assurances of the quiet atmosphere most folks are looking for in a vacation. You are renting a condo and all fees are paid 5 days before your stay starts. No refunds. Owners of adjacent condos are permitted to schedule construction and repairs during 8am to 5pm. In our case the noise was so loud we couldn't even hear each other talk. Naps or sleeping-in were out of the question. After 2 days of complaining we were offered a different unit with no guarantee it would be quieter since there are no restrictions on noise that is created by "owners". There was no possibility of a refund. Additionally we were offered only one choice of place to move since all other available condos except one that smelled moldy were more expensive than the unit we had booked. They made it clear that there was no possibility of upgrade and anyway there was absolutely no guarantee ANY unit we moved to would be quiet. read more

We recently stayed at Ocean Gallery PRV-103. We were moved there from another unit on the third floor due to construction. I had my doubts but was actually pleasantly surprised by the experience. We could see the ocean from the patio but also had direct access to the pool without having to use the elevator. The unit was comfortable and clean. The appliances were new. The unit layout was actually superior to the previous unit we had stayed in. The staff, especially security, was friendly and helpful. It was a very enjoyable visit. read more

I would like to suggest that to improve the experience, possible changing the date for providing beach chairs and unbrellas to May 1, instead of the week before memorial day.
