Safe, clean, quiet, private parking, onsite laundry, a lovely little record collection, ADA accessible, and quaint. Ernie had his Cancer surgery in his face a year ago and his birthday month as well. So, Kimberly was the one and only one to respond almost immediately. I told her my needs, wants and concerns. She worked with me effortlessly. Poof! We made the date and off we headed to her BNB. Ernie was surprised and happy. That was my goal. I'd like to share a little history of this beautiful home: This magnificent oceanfront home was built in 1914 by Louise Wise Lewis Frances, the niece, and heir to the Henry Flagler fortune. When this house was built it was a social gathering place and still is to this day. From the pinewood floors to the beautiful antique hand-carved mantel around the fireplace, this house retains the elegance of a bygone era. The warmth and hospitality of Kimberly the Innkeeper is beyond compare. You'll feel welcome the moment you arrive and you'll be making plans to return before you leave. Kimberly cooked a wonderful breakfast for us two days in a row. She seemed to really be happy and good with what she does. Thank you again Kimberly. Ernie and I will see you again. Pros: There are three levels of rooms to choose from. Everything was comfy and clean. Great breakfast. Right on the beach. Restaurants in walking distance. Friendly Innkeeper(Kimberly). Cons: Parking can be tight, but doable. Stairs are hard to climb. We got used to them after a few times. Check her place out soon! PS: I forgot to leave the key to our room. I discovered it when I got home. Kimberly was so understanding about the mishap. I mailed the key the very next day. It all worked out ok.

We were steps from the beach which was perfect for us. We were a short drive across the Bridge of Lions to get to St. Augustine and St. George St. We were also not far from Vilano Beach. Everything was convenient for us. Our bed was comfortable in the Safari room. It was the pet friendly room so we had our own patio and it lead to the back yard. The bathroom to us seemed like it was bigger than the bedroom though, but it makes sense, they put a wall in the room to separate the bedroom and the bathroom. It made the bed kind of narrow when walking to get to the bathroom. From reading up on the history of the House of Sea and Sun, we found that our room was said to be haunted, and people would wake up to hear dancing and music. This is where they would dance back in the day. This house was built for one of Henry Flagler's family members. They said it was completed around 1914. There are 6 bedrooms in this home. It was nice to get to see all of them before I left. You can tell they nicely kept the old character of this home. Our breakfast was alright the first day, and got better the next day. They had pancakes, eggs, and ham, danishes, orange juice, and coffee to name a few. They also have an afternoon snack of crackers and cheese, and fruit as well as wine if you let them know in advance. It was definitely a relaxing nice stay. Since they are dog friendly, they also have 3 resident pomeranians. It definitely makes for an even more fun stay since our shihtzu Mocha Coconut can play with them once he is got use to them.

The home is spacious and features 4 br/3ba, + a 2 car garage, The master bedroom has an hdtv w/ bluray player and a large 2 person Jacuzzi type tub in the master suite bath with large outdoor decks upstairs and downstairs for the most spectacular sunsets over the Matanzas river. The home has 5 HDTV's with surround sound in living area. dvd and Blu-ray players. Located one block from some of the most secluded and nicest beaches anywhere. Back inside the main area is large and open. The kitchen is very nice boasting an additional prep sink. The bedrooms are also large and well appointed (all have hdtv's) The house has new Samsung appliances and a washer and dryer. The rental was fully stocked with everything you need. They have wireless internet throughout the property. You can't go wrong with the location which is only 15 minutes to downtown St Augustine and 30 minutes to Daytona Beach. Summer Paradise will not disappoint! They allow pets.

There are few two bedroom units with two bathrooms but they may be difficult to book as this is a very popular timeshare. There will be no presentation for buying if you are lucky enough to get a week at The Beach Club because it's near capacity with ownership. That's rare in this timeshare world. Come bask in the sun and rest by the pool for a home away from home vacation.

Upper floor rooms have a beautiful view of the ocean and pool, while first floor units open out to the pool. All have a balcony/patio with chairs, and a full kitchen. 1 BR units have a king bed in a separate bedroom and a fairly comfy pull out sleeper in the living room. They sleep 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children max. The 2BR units have additional twins in the 2nd BR. There are a few strict resort rules - including no pets and 10:00 check out - read them so you don't have surprises.

The pool is nice but if youre on an upper lever, you have to walk all the way down the hallway and down stairs to get outside. The could have put some stairs off of the balconies. The beach is nice and clean, not very crowded. I think we'll keep looking for next year.

I stopped in at the front office as anyone who is just checking out a campground should do - We were greeted by Karen and she was just wonderful as I explained the purpose of our visit - she described a lot of the amenities and also the online website and suggested calling her directly when we were ready to book our site. After requesting a drive-through she graciously opened the gate to allow us to explore the campground on our on and it goes without saying we were respectful of the posted speed limits and the campers and their campsites. This is a very spacious campground that can accommodate all sizes of RVs, I loved that there are some rustic sites as well as large drive-through paved sites - there are some very nice facilities including a large club house and pool. The entrance off of Route 207 is very accessible and there is plenty of room to get into your site no matter which one you choose or what size rig you have. This is definitely a campground I'll stay at during a future visit to the St. Augustine area, there are a lot of good things going on here, a very friendly and accommodating staff, a very clean and well maintained campground and it's in close proximity to downtown...
