Later when they were putting this stuff away, they were putting the chips back in the bag with no gloves on, how unsanitary All I can think of is they were going to use the chips again otherwise they would've thrown them away after somebody touched them with their hands very disgusting not even allowed in the food business. The salad seemed like package, chopped up lettuce lot of iceberg with there small bowls of dressing. Nothing really special added no tomato, cucumbers, olives, anything. Garlic bread was served in foil wrap very greasy . lukewarm barbecue chicken no sauce on it had to add it on the side sauce was cold , then the topper was some sort of cut of beef maybe a London broil, but it either was cut on the wrong grain. It was about a half inch thick it was cooked medium to medium rare, . But it was the toughest piece of meat. I was trying to cut it, and the fork broke and the knife broke The person next to me couldn't cut it either. they were saying I should. I pick it up with my hand naw it. I would be embarrassed if I was the catering company putting out this kind of food. If you're gonna put that cut of meat out, keep it whole have someone there carving it. Cutting thin slice it on the right grain so that people can eat it.The macaroni and cheese was like glorified Velveeta cheese flat in flavor they served it with a big soup scoop instead of a a normal serving spoon it all lopped up into the spoon had to tap it against the table to get it out. No seasoning very disappointing. The Server at one point seemed to be very mad cleaning up. She was rushing and pounding things against the table one of the guest said that someone should go over to her and tell her to cool it because it was very distracting. Very embarrassing representation of a company. Feel bad for the bride and groom that had to pay for this. . A writing this because sometimes owners don't see what direction their business is going in and how their staff represent them. So I hope you take this with consideration of the honest feedback. They ordered the holiday meal for six, example menus linked here https://bendcatering.com/catering/holidays/, had someone pick it up for them the afternoon of the 23rd and when the meal was served on Christmas day it amply fed not only the six people planned but there was ample amount to feed three more who dropped in. Leftovers for the next day too. Everyone enjoyed every item from ham and turkey through sides and pies ordered (add on) for dessert. Cody's Country Catering (the Yelp header says Country Catering but Cody's has been part of the name for as long as I remember), also does weddings, family reunions, business meetings and other events and has luncheon menus in addition to dinner fare. Family meal dinners in serving sizes as small as for four people are also available to pick up on Fridays. Or were so maybe still are with pre-order by phone. Back in December, when I was Door Dashing in Bend Oregon, I picked up a delivery at this sandwich place I'd never heard of called "Port of Subs". The first thing I noticed immediately when I walked in the door was the heavenly scent of some of the most amazing fresh baked bread I'd ever smelled. The staff was professional, friendly and prompt with my order (which is something I found to be the norm in Bend.) I knew that I would be returning here later to try one. At the end of my "shift", I did indeed return, and I got myself a roast beef sub with bacon, pesto, mayo, onions, and provolone cheese. I took it to go, and ate it when I got to my parent's house. To say that this sandwich was a world class sandwich experience is an absolute understatement. Everything I chose to have on that sandwich was as fresh as it could possibly be. The roast beef was hearty, full of bold beef flavor, thick cut, and very stacked onto the sandwich. No skimping here! The bacon was balanced perfectly, thick cut, smoky and just the right amount of salty. The pesto was absolutely fresh tasting, and the pine nuts in it gave the sandwich a taste and texture that was amazing, with the basil giving it a fantastic flavor. The onions were crisp, full flavored and not slimy in the slightest. The provolone was nice and melty, and had a creamy smoothness to it that excited my tastebuds. Even the mayo was slightly elevated by everything else on the sandwich. But the real star was the bread, that immaculate white bun with that amazing fresh baked smell and taste. I am absolutely kicking myself for not photographing this sandwich, which was nothing short of a masterpiece! I find myself still thinking of it and measuring it against every sandwich I've had since then. So the question is, how do I convince Port of Subs to bring this excellence to Mobile Alabama so I can try more of their menu? Lottery goals, I guess...

I had the Turkey , Bacon and Avacado sandwich. I had a large sandwich on Garlic Parmesan bread. I added olives, spinach, lettuce and tomato with the avacado spread. Their foot long sandwich isn't as big as other sandwich chains. The meat quality is ok. The bread was tasty. I will stick with my favorite cross town sandwich shop, Cheba Hut.

The Beach Hut is an absolutely amazing place for breakfast or lunch! Their sandwiches are hands-down some of the best in downtown Bend -- packed with flavor and always satisfying. It's also a great place to work remotely, meet up with friends, or socialize while enjoying a great meal and coffee. The atmosphere is welcoming, cozy, and always has a positive vibe. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and truly goes above and beyond to make every visit a great experience. The owner, Sean, is also incredibly kind and welcoming. He makes sure everyone who walks through the door receives exceptional service and feels appreciated. You can really tell that customer experience is a top priority here. Generous portions, reasonable prices, outstanding customer service, and an inviting environment make The Brunch Hut one of my favorite spots in Bend. I've been coming to Beach Hut for many years and have always enjoyed the great food and consistently positive experiences. The service has always been excellent as well. However, during my most recent visit, I was extremely disappointed and concerned by what I observed. Over the course of about 15 minutes, I watched as four team members prepared food without once washing their hands. One of the employees repeatedly wiped her hands on her jeans and then continued making sandwiches. Additionally, the cashier, after handling customer payments, assisted with food prep without washing his hands. Cleanliness and proper food safety practices are crucial, and what I witnessed today was very troubling. I hope this issue is addressed promptly to maintain the quality and standards that have kept me coming back for years. read more

You can also customize your meal as needed. To order, you stand in line like at a food court counter, but in a fancy way. While we were there, the line stretched to the door most of the time but it moves fast. This is the time you use to choose your bottle of wine, pick food, and browse the pastries on display. There were several places to sit indoors and out after placing the order. The kids hade the garlic bites (fried balls of bread with garlic and cheese...looked like doughnut holes!) and a pizza. They can add pepperoni to a cheese pizza for the particular children in your life. My husband and I shared a Cobb salad, no croutons to make it gf (the lemon dill dressing was AMAZING! Actually, this whole salad was very good). We also intended to share the NY strip with chimichurri. However, we didn't read that it comes with bread and a side salad (great!) and roasted vegetables in romesco sauce (also great!). My husband is allergic to nuts and so he couldn't eat any. That is not a complaint...all on us! The menu is clearly marked. But be aware if you have a nut allergy to specify that you can't have the romesco sauce. Or let the order taker know, as they are informed on modifications and whatnot. So he ate the salad and done pizza. I ate most of the steak and veggies. Everything tasted really good. The steak was a bit gristly. But the chimichurri was great. My absolute favorite thing was the elote cake with tajin buttercream. It was not a sweet cake. But it was heavenly. I should have grabbed another piece before we left. It was creative and salty and delicious and I still want it two days later. Service was great. Food is brought out as it's ready, not all at once. And the side salad and bread is brought before the main dish. The people were friendly and helpful. This was a great place and I would definitely go back.
