We had to bring another container home. Must try! The staff here are always so nice. This place is only open on Fridays and weekend. Better check their hours before going. Great BBQ joint. Wish it was open more days :) Haven't had a bad meal in the year I've been coming here.

Not sure why I don't make my way here more often. Always next level with Juan at the helm. Staff are friendly and helpful. Dining room is always spotless. Noticed he went through 800 lbs of smoked corned beef for St Patty's Day. Need to get back for a smashburger. Juan is considering operating a separate smashburger pop up here, on the days he's closed. Follow him on Facebook instagram for updates and the weekend specials. read more

Their beef bbq is so good! We went Back about 3x in a month. Their sweets aren't all that. they aren't a bakery so letting it slide. Took a star for the extra fat you get with the beef instead of more meat. Flavor is good with and without the sauce..... Their beans are also good... a little on the sweeter side for me but they are good! We have not tried the pork. read more

Some of the best BBQ I've had in the Chicago area. My first time there, so I tried the brisket, ribs, and chicken thighs. They were all great. Brisket was juicy and smoky, ribs were done perfectly and had maybe a hint of Asian BBQ (?) flavor, chicken thighs were a little dry had but really good flavor. For sides I had the potato salad - excellent! The chicken came with homemade potato chips, which were a nice touch and really tasty! Definitely worth another visit! read more

Service is slow. Orders come out in pieces, one diner at a time. 10 minute gap between my partner's meal and mine. His was cold. Forgot the drinks we ordered. Tables dirty and sticky. Food is meh. Not worth the prices charged. Do not recommend and will not come back. read more

Enjoy this place. Very good variety of bbq options. Able to order for holidays ahead of time. Delicious meats. The owners are solid too.

Love everything at beach ave bbq! The brisket, rib tips and smoked chicken are legendary. Just tried the tacos and smoked gyro- WOW! And don't forget the homemade chips-yum. Great place for eat in- friends and family, or take out is easy too. read more

I was kind of in the mood for something not too heavy and tasty when I came across Beach Avenue Bbq for a lunch choice for the day. It was no line and one family in the dining room so it was a short while before I received my order. I went with the baked potato with brisket which came with a huge potato and a nice helping of brisket. The bbq sauce was self serve so I grabbed a couple servings and tried it with and without. The sauce really set the flavors off. The brisket was tender and everything was fresh. I really like this spot and look forward to swinging by later this week. read more

I don't think there is a ton of barbecue places by us and this one was a random find and definitely a keeper. On a Sunday afternoon, we arrived as soon as they opened therefore everything was still available. I heard that certain meats sell out fast so arriving early is key. Four adults and two young children shared the following: 1) Large macaroni and cheese 2) Large slaw 3) The rib tips (1 pound) were plentiful and an awesome catch for just $11. The flavors were rich and the meat was juicy. This is definitely one of our favorites! 4) My girls shared the pulled pork sandwich and I really like how they don't slather it with barbecue sauce because I generally refrain from giving my girls too much condiments. I added a bit and the girls devoured the sandwich. 5) The BBQ meat sampler consisted of wagyu brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, ribs, and hot link. It's a good way to try a little bit of everything and figure out what you like best. Overall, I enjoyed every item but my favorites are the ribs, pulled chicken, and hot link. I generally don't care for pulled chicken but this one was exceptional. It was juicy and flavor-packed, to the extent that barbecue sauce was absolutely unnecessary. My girls had seconds and thirds too! Can't wait to return and re-order some of the mentioned items! read more

Great food and great service I'd definitely visit here next time in Orange County. The price is good too.

We are now 3 for 3 with Beach BBQ! The ribs tips slapped harder than Ike did Tina in the 80's. The perfect burnt crisp. The little red ridge around the edges of the cut meats. I mean how can anyone compare? Order was ready in 5 mins and the service was outstanding. I should've grabbed a sauce but that's on me for being in a rush to go eat. Thank you to the team over there. I feel very blessed to live 5 mins away. I have had the pulled chicken, pulled pork sandwiches and today the rib tips and it's official nothing beats Beach! Thanks again. Be back soon. read more

If you're anywhere near Brookfield, do yourself a favor and stop by Beach Avenue Barbecue -- this place is a hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, you're hit with the mouthwatering aroma of slow-smoked perfection. Every bite is full of flavor, love, and that authentic BBQ magic that's so hard to find these days. The brisket? Tender and juicy with just the right amount of bark. The pulled pork? Melt-in-your-mouth goodness. And don't even get me started on the sides -- the mac and cheese is creamy and rich, and the cornbread is just the right mix of sweet and savory. I never had to coax the kids once to take bites. They lived their mac n cheese with chicken. On top of the amazing food, the staff is friendly, the vibe is laid-back, and it's the kind of spot that makes you want to come back again and again. Support local and treat yourself -- Beach Avenue Barbecue is the real deal! Shirley Buck read more

Good lord this place is legit! My first experience was the brunch and the smash burger blew my mind! Salty and sweet all day long! I returned for a dinner a week later and the brisket nachos were also mind blowing. I wasn't sure about the price of the nachos- but the portion fed me twice and each time was delightful!! I can't wait to go back again! read more

Excellent service! Staff was friendly and accommodating and food was delicious. Thank you so much!!

Had a pretty bad experience here. Was only us and 2 other patrons. Food was bland and rubbery as if it was reheated from the day before, didn't even finish it. Service was terrible and no one seemed to care. Tables were sticky and dirty. Maybe it was an off day, but it was bad enough that we have no desire to go back. Worth driving the extra 5 minutes to Q BBQ in LaGrange. They have been consistent for years. read more

Mrs Claus and Santa finally popped in and we certainly were NOT disappointed! Mrs Claus had the Street Corn Tacos and they were delicious, portion size was enough for an army of elves. Santa had the Chips and Thighs (mild) and my mouth is watering just thinking about the four thighs juiciness. The homemade chips had just the right amount of tang! We couldn't finish our orders eaten in the clean, cute surroundings so they're home in our fridge now...It's 4:00a.m. as I write this, but Santa's tempted to sneak down to the fridge to enjoy the lip-smackin' goodness of that fourth thigh! Can't wait to go back to taste other joys of this fine BBQ! Great place! Young, attentive staff, fairly priced menu...basic BBQ at its best! read more

Excellent BBQ! Decided to stop in after an afternoon at the zoo. Excellent choice! My boyfriend and I probably ordered waaaaay too much food, but it was delicious! We took a bunch home for leftovers Pulled chicken sandwich- chicken was delicious, bun was a little dry Pulled pork sandwich - amazing! Brisket baked potato - it was huge! Probably like the size of 2 potatoes! It had brisket, cheese sauce, and chives. Chips - flavorful Mac n cheese - super cheesy. Friendly staff and delicious food. Parking was on the street around the corner. read more

Stumbled upon this place while I was in the area. I tried the beef brisket, rib tips, mac n cheese and mexican street corn. The brisket was super tender and smokey. The rib tips were meaty and flavorful, I was surprised by the portion size. Mac n cheese was really good and the mexican street corn was good, too. This was more than enough food for two people and we had leftovers to enjoy later. I would definitely stop by again if I were in the area. read more

Really excellent BBQ - easily some of the best west of Chicago. Vibe inside is fun, clean and accessible. Friendly staff. Wish they offered homemade bbq sauces vs store bought. Note to the owner: would be great if you offered a bbq plate that you can scale up or down (1 or 2 meats and a side or two), without going as big as the $32 sampler. Finale thought, your buns aren't great. Why spend all that time and energy on amazing meats only to serve it on a sub-par canvas. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Drove out from city Near Brookfield zoo. Easy parking. No frills just excellent BBQ and sides in a chill environment. It was a winter night but will try outdoor seating when it warms up. Friendly counter service, they bring your order to you. We had the wagyu brisket, pulled pork, hot link and great sides (homemade chips, Brussels sprouts, Mexican style corn). The BBQ is high quality. Pricing not too bad given the cuts and serving size. Food comes out quick. Hot. Good sauce variety. Also decent soft drink and local / national beer selection. read more
