Project Date: June 2016 Project Price Range: $10,000 -…read more$49,999 This is a sad review. We used Colorado Marble and Granite for our kitchen counter tops (Summer of 2016) and they were so wonderful. Rise' was our salesperson and from the get go she was just the best - and believe me I shopped around for a fabricator quite a while. They were so good in fact that we used them for a kitchen and 2 bath remodel of an investment property the following month. Now the bad news. On Thanksgiving we were doing dishes and the sink fell out of the counter top (see photo). Disturbing but I knew they would make it right. Ann who is the owner called me the following Monday. I had shored up the sink with some makeshift 2x4 supports I made in my garage and fixed the destroyed plumbing as best I could by then so we could get through the weekend. I told Ann that I knew they were busy with the holidays so would be patient until they could free up time to come re install our sink. I even told her I was not upset about out broken china. She promised to call me back to schedule but never did. After Christmas I called her again and she said "i thought you fixed it yourself." After explaining to her again that my makeshift repair was temporary at best she told me she would schedule something and call me the next day. A week later I had not received a call so I tried to reach out to Rise' by phone. She sounded very surprised and apologized, saying she would speak to Ann and call me back, which she never did. So now 47 days later I am giving up on them. Unbelievable as it sounds it is a true story. I have hired a contractor to repair the sink and I will forward his invoice to Colorado Marble but I have to assume they won't reimburse me. I guess the next should be taking the case to the BBB then contacting all the granite companies that have them as a recommended vendor and letting them know what happened. Beware of this company. They do not back up their workmanship. Like I said a sad story we really thought this company was legit.

We swore we would never use credit cards ever again and started saving for our kitchen project. We saved and it was time for granite. I had 6 companies that I interviewed for the job, and gave what I had in cash to spend. The other companies were nice, and respectful, but they were unwilling to work with us, or give us cash discounts. My last call was to Colorado Marble & Granite. It was nice talking to the owner. She was super nice, and she even stayed after they were closed to give us a tour and see some granite samples. I gave her the exact measurements, being I built the kitchen. She gave me a price that met our budget and guess what.... we had enough to take my wife out to dinner (awesome Taco place down in the DTC area.) The crew who came out to do the template, and to install ROCKED. Nice courteous and asked me questions BEFORE they installed it. It's taken me a couple months to post this, and I am embarrassed since the experience was so deserved to have this written as soon as they left. (to the owner I am sorry about that). (BTW I still am in love with your dad's old truck)

In the beginning as we were collecting quotes, I was impressed with how responsive Kim was, I also felt like their prices were very reasonable in comparison to the other companies. We had a pantry, closet and a portion of a wall removed to make our house built in 1908 more open concept. New hardwood floors throughout the first floor. We also did new cabinets and countertops through kitchen creations. Kim helped us pick out our farmhouse sink. In an effort to save some money we did the backsplash, light fixtures and painting (though I wish we would have had Al (Tivoli Contracting) do the painting as most of it still isn't done ;). During the renovation the stairs to upstairs (we lovingly referred to as our apartment) was taped off to minimize dust etc. They were usually there promptly at 8a and would knock prior to entering despite the lock box. I would say I spent most days upstairs at the house during renovation. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat and would go back to Kitchen Creations and Al for future renovations!

We bought our cabinets at Home Clearance Center, with Marcia Yost as our designer. We are delighted with the results, and Marcia was terrific to work with. When we finally decided to do this after talking about it for years, my wife wanted to get it done before the end of July. An interior designer we were talking with just wasn't as responsive as we wanted. After meeting with Marcia, we decided we didn't need the interior designer. Marcia was extremely prompt and responsive throughout the entire process, producing a 3D computer rendering of our cabinets and island, with price quote, less than a week after our first meeting. I am detail-oriented, and there were a lot of meetings and emails after that to fine-tune the design and specs. Marcia was always very patient and very quick to answer questions or address any issues. We ended up getting Diamond cabinets on the perimeter walls in cherry wood with a dark ("Grizzly") stain, and an island comprised of Showplace cabinets with a smoky blue paint finish. Marcia was very knowledgeable about both brands and their respective features. My wife knew a lot of what she wanted, but she was very taken with some additional options and features that Marcia showed us. Marcia also came up with some design elements we hadn't thought of, and she suggested several improvements on our own design ideas. When it came time for on-site measurements, we met in our home with Marcia and our contractor and walked through specific details, making several final adjustments. Marcia understands cabinet installation, and both at that meeting and later she gave some helpful tips to our contractor, who hadn't previously installed frameless (all access) cabinets. An important measure of how well a business takes care of customers is how they do when something goes awry. There were a few issues with the cabinets as shipped to us by both Diamond and Showplace. Marcia was right on top of it, working with both manufacturers to get the problems taken care of quickly. We felt like she was an advocate on our side, working to make sure we were satisfied. Our remodel was completed on schedule, and we couldn't be happier. We are pleased to be able to wholeheartedly recommend Marcia and Home Clearance Center without reservation. I'll post some pics of our new kitchen.

Alan Cruz is the WORST person to hire. Alan will sell you the world. He says his skills are great…read moreand that he will be managing the project, but the truth is the complete opposite. Alan subs out the work to "his guys" who he pays a piece rate to and he DOES NOT manage his guys. To this day, I still have three different color grouts on my stone that Alan refuses to even come look at. He sent "his guys" to make numerous other repairs/corrections and does not even walk after they make the repairs. I watched Alan pay them cash in front of my house on one of these "repairs days" and hop back in his truck and drive away. I called him if he wanted to walk to make sure they did things right, he said "you can see it, did the do it right?". Alan is present on the days he is picking up money from you, but all of the other work days he is missing in action. He hit my gate, ran over one of my trees, I showed him that the tire treads on the ground match his truck exactly, and he said "that could have been anyone", even though it was in my back yard where only him and I drive and it do not match my truck tires. I let "his guys" borrow my trailer so the could have all of the old windows and doors that we replaced, they drove it on a toll road and said nothing about it. Many stones were installed crooked. Still to this day I have crooked stone, and the precast trim around the doors and windows. It is terrible! One day I drove up and seen the stone next to the front door was all crooked, Alan happened to be there because it was a "Money Pick Up Day", I said Alan, the stone is crooked, and bad", he said, "do you want me to the guys fix it?", I said, what do you think? They finished for the day, and did not fix the stone. Alan has been a nightmare to work with. I paid him almost $80,000 in cash, so that helped him and "his guys" out on taxes for sure, but Alan does not manage his projects, does not do things the right way, and does just enough to get the job to a point he can try to sell as complete.
