We had an excellent experience working with Yuri at BCK Construction. We wanted to convert an extra space off our primary bedroom into a true fourth bedroom by adding a wall and a door. Several contractors told us it couldn't be done because the door was a little tricky, but Yuri was up for the challenge and came up with a solution that worked perfectly. From the very beginning, Yuri was incredibly meticulous and took the time to walk us through every step of the project. He made sure we were always on the same page before moving forward, which gave us a lot of confidence throughout the process. His communication was excellent, and he was always respectful, professional, and knowledgeable. What really stood out was his attention to detail. Yuri noticed even the smallest things and made sure they were done the right way instead of taking shortcuts. It's clear he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about the quality of the finished product. Since completing our bedroom conversion, we've hired Yuri for another smaller project, and once again he was fantastic to work with. We already have another larger project in mind for him and highly recommend BCK Construction to anyone looking for an honest, skilled contractor in the San Marcos/Carlsbad area who truly cares about doing quality work. read more

My mom asked that I write a review of our experience with Yuri at BCK Construction, to express our gratitude for his care. We looked in Yelp for an electrician with experience and good reviews, and we found Yuri. He quickly responded to us and came over the next afternoon to look at my mom's electrical. Her refrigerator and a light across the room from the kitchen would turn off for a couple of hours, then turn on again. After several weeks of this happening randomly, they both turned off and never came back. We tried the circuit box and the test/reset buttons in the house, but we needed an electrician. Yuri came over and worked diligently to find the problem. He was able to make the repair and his price was more than fair. I appreciate you, Yuri. Thank you for texting with me while you were helping my mom, and for your good work. read more

Iurll was great! His response time was quick and he was very understanding of my situation. He repaired my circuit breaker same day! Pricing was also very fair. I'm so grateful and would 100% recommend him. I will surely call on him again if I need anymore repairs. read more

Yuri is a really great guy. If you need a contractor for your home, he is an excellent choice. I've worked with many contractors before, and just hearing the word "contractor" can be stressful, you never know what they'll charge or how good the quality will be. Often, contractors have a bad reputation with customers for many reasons: work is slow, takes too long, and prices can be way too high. But Yuri is different. Up to now, he has worked for me many times, always giving reasonable prices. He works quickly, efficiently, and is very friendly. I really appreciate his honesty in the way he works. Happy New Year to you and your family . read more

Yuri from BCK construction came to my home on a Sunday exactly on time. He was reassuring, thorough, and took the time to troubleshoot my electrical issue. He even went to the store to pick up materials which is so unlike most repair people . In less than 3 hours, he repaired multiple electrical outlets and left my home clean and tidy. Additionally, he was great at communication, updating me on the progress the entire time. He was also very cost effective and time efficient. I cannot say enough good things about him and BCK construction! read more

We hired Iurii (pronounced Yuri) to remodel our newly purchased home. We had previously used him on our previous home. This time we had a major renovation done and used Iurii to remodel our kitchen, two bathrooms, relocating our laundry to the garage so we could use that space for a pantry. He and his awesome crew redid our electrical and plumbing throughout the house. When Iurii was working he would identify flaws in the house and fixed those including dry rot under a tub and toilets. Our house was previously poorly maintained and things were broken everywhere. He also went through our home inspection report and also made those repairs. He was with us about six weeks and the total project was reasonably priced and fair. He displayed excellent contractor skills and knowledge and used quality products in his renovation. I'd recommend him to anyone. read more

Yuri was great from start to finish. Good communication via the app and was flexible with timing and scheduling. He showed up on time and got right to work. His work you can tell he really cares about the finished product. He replaced our old door that was all out of sorts with a brand new door that makes a huge difference. We even took a trip to Home Depot and he picked out exactly what additional items we needed to make sure it looked great with the new trim. Needless to say I would gladly use him again. Felt like his price was fair for the work that was done. Thanks Yuri! read more

These guys were awesome! Yury contacted me quickly after our service request and was always keeping us updated on the progress of our guest bathroom upgrade. They did quality work and finished our project in less than a week, as well as some other random things like ceiling fan and light fixture installs. Also as a bonus, they made friends with our shy cats. Would 100% recommend BCK Construction to anyone who has a project coming up! read more

Very helpful, flexible, and reasonably priced! Thank you Iurii! Prices were transparent and reasonable.

Yuri and his team did a fantastic job with taking care of the window work I had. Some windows needed replacement parts and many windows needed new locks. Several windows also needed the screens replaced. My windows now function so much better: all smoothly open/close, lock, and have visually appealing screens with no holes. The work was done carefully and the prices were very reasonable. Yuri was easy to work with and came when he said he would. Highly recommend. read more

Yuri is a wonderful human. Beyond that, he is also incredibly smart. We had a light bench from 2014 (now no longer sold or supported) that two other people could not fix. He admitted that he didn't immediately know how to fix it, but he could do some research and figure it out. AND HE DID! After this, I tried to find everything in the house that didn't work because I have not recently found somebody who is so nice and resourceful before. What a great person! Very thoughtful, kind, and funny. You will be very happy hiring Yuri (I hope that is spelled correctly; that's what his name sounds like, but I see other spellings here.) THANK YOU YURI! read more

I recently hired BCK, in less than 72 hours they came out and installed & mounted two wood cabinets that I provided on my walls about 8 feet off the ground at my business. I was impressed with his on-time high quality service & workmanship. Brought all the tools, a vacuum, and parts/screws. He laid a tarp, and afterwards vacumed up. I was impressed with how detailed and meticulous he was. The pricing was fair, charging per hour and by the job, so he was fully transparent with me. I look forward in giving him future projects at my home & business. Highly recommended! read more

We found Yuri with a stroke of luck after trying out a few handymen over the years. We had purchased a wine cooler under the counter. Unfortunately, that was 1 inch taller and 1 inch wider than our measurements. We enquired around with a few handymen who told us that we will need to re-do our entire cabinetry from scratch to accommodate the wine cooler. Yuri came in, gave a reasonable estimate, cut through the current cabinetry moved it 1 in on the left, and cut through 1 in on the top and the wine cooler fit in PERFECTLY! No one can even say that changes were made to the cabinetry. His work is very clean, precise, and efficiently executed. His rates are reasonable given his immaculate quality of work. We also hired him to do long pending other work around our house like recessed lighting across multiple rooms, he fixed our attic fans, some plumbing work, and more! Yuri is a trustworthy, honest, and masterful handyman. I trust him for his recommendations and judgments. We have and would hire him in a heartbeat! read more

We worked with Yuri for two projects, one to adjust the cabinet in the kitchen and another to fix a problem with rot in our wall due to leaky plumbing. Yuri was great at both jobs, providing great communication and photos during the whole process. His pricing was also very transparent, providing the breakdown by labor and parts, and was competitive compared to other offers I got on yelp. Iurii is an expert handyman. I had a few jobs that needed to be completed before we moved in, and he did all of them perfectly. We had a built-in T.V. stand that needed to be expanded, and he helped us decide the best way to approach it. He also removed a built in desk and cabinets to help expand a room. He even completed a couple of small jobs that I thought of after we hired him. He performed excellent work, and I will gladly work with him or even recommend him to my mom in the future if she needs a handyman--I don't know of a better way to say I trust his work than that! read more
