Hearty, comfy and volume-y!!! You can't really go wrong with BCD, but it has been years since I visited last... so I gave a try again. the food quality is the same as I remembered as well as the portion. Service was good. Not anything out standing but I do not expect anything more from BCD. Just serve the right food in timely manner and that's it.
I love this tofu house. I came to try it out for myself and it exceeded expectations. I went when it was my graduation and despite the busy crowd, we still go our food at a good time. Definitely will come again 10/10
I've been going to BCD Tofu House for years. This location consistently stand out for services! The hostess, server and staff were all really attentive and welcoming. We ordered beef tofu soup and seafood pancake! Both were delicious! Whenever I ask for more side dishes they seem not to mind for refill. Unlike some other restaurants. The only downside is parking at the plaza on the weekend is a nightmare.
I would give it 5 stars but the service was lacking a bit. Not very friendly from the moment we walked in the gentleman at the door signal is to use the iPad to waitlist ourselves no Hello, Welcome or anything. Once we were seated they rushed to get our order and once we got the food is when we started enjoyed ourselves. The food is amazing it was fresh and very flavorful! Its my new Korean spot just gotta remember to non expect a friendly smile.
Came back here after a long time, Galbi was tender and chewy, but a bit too sweet for me, less sauce is better. The soup was good. The seafood pancake was a bit too overcooked but crispy. Got a refill on the side dishes. Service was great and pretty crowded during early dinner around 5:30 ish. Overall, okaish .
There's lots of plaza parking although with all the businesses here it can get hectic. There's also a few 30 minute parking to watch out for. There's lots of seating inside but it can get quite busy. There's also a waitlist tablet to check in. It's casual inside and the noise level is decent. They can handle a large group. The service was great and they were helpful. The food arrived quickly and at a good pace. The bulgogi was delicious and not too sweet. The mild beed soup is plentiful and isn't too spicy, definitely manageable for those who want some kick. Rice is nice amd you get crispy pieces at the bottom of the bowl. The cucumber side is good if you don't like cucumbers. It has more of a sesame.
Rain, Rain go away! Craving for some hot soup for lunch and travelled to this place in Fullerton Rowland Hts. Lucky it's not crowded and no line we were able to get our seat fast. Food 100% Service 100% Ambiance 100% BCD Korean Tofu house ( original Soon Tofu) that serves Soon tofu soup with beef and seafood in bubbling hot stone pot. If you hadn't have this - you should try! It's delicious and it'll warm you inside out I had galbi combo with original Beef Soon tofu- come down and try this for a start. Oh choose mild soup ( spice level).
I was craving Korean food, so we decided to stop by BCD. It was pretty busy when we arrived, but thankfully we didn't have to wait for a table. They had tables for big parties and a few for small parties. There is also outdoor seating but since it was raining, we wanted to sit inside. The ladies seated us right away and brought out the banchan along with tea. We ordered the galbi combo for $26.99 (lunch price) and the spicy pork combo for $24.99. The galbi came out quickly and was juicy, perfectly marinated, and tender. There were a few slightly burnt pieces, but it wasn't a big issue. Paired with the spicy tofu soup, it really hit the spot and completely satisfied my craving. The friendly ahjummas also refilled the side dishes without us even having to ask. Overall, the service was great this time!
BCD is easily one of my favorite spots for tofu soup. There's usually a wait, but it's worth it in my opinion! I always get the assorted tofu soup; it's consistently tasty and comes piping hot. Last time I also ordered the galbi and it was really good too! Also I LOVE their kimchi. Seriously it's so good, probably my favorite kimchi from any Korean restaurant. Portion sizes are generous and I'm always so happily stuffed after. Food is served in hot stone bowls, including the rice. So good.

My family also wanted to order some appetizers so we ordered the fried tofu and the seafood pancake. I thought the fried tofu was just ok; I've definitely had better before. I feel like you can never go wrong with ordering the seafood pancake. It's loaded with octopus and was flavorful. Would highly recommend! Service was excellent. We were seated quickly upon arrival and we received our orders quickly. There is a decent amount of seating in the restaurant but it gets packed during peak hours so I would recommend coming a little before peak dining hours. There is plenty of parking in the Yes plaza shared with other businesses.
BCD Tofu House is a popular chain Korean restaurant with multiple locations. My husband took me here for a dinner date. I love the wide variety of tofu stews that they offer on the menu. I had the mild beef soon tofu soup and my husband had the plain dumpling soon tofu soup. Each soon tofu soup comes with a portion of stone pot rice. Both the tofu soups here tasted rich, savory, and full of flavor. The amount of ingredients inside the soups was very generous as well. As for the seafood pancake, this was the perfect dish to share (cut into eight slices). It had an amazing crispy texture and the batter to seafood ratio was perfect. Although a bit oily, it was very delicious. In addition, the banchan offering was pretty great. We were given yellow croakers, cucumber, fish cakes, and kimchi. I think they rotate the banchan selection every now and then. It is great that this restaurant is open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, making it the ideal place to go for a late dinner. Plenty of parking spaces are available in this busy plaza.
I've been to BCD plenty of times at different locations and they never disappoint! This location is a little smaller, but it was clean and the staff were super friendly. We got the assorted tofu soup and spicy pork. The soup was solid as always while the pork was flavorful but a little dry. We asked for a refill on the spicy squid banchan, but they mostly gave us the veggies from it which was a little disappointing lol. Other than that, no complaints and I'd definitely come back! read more

We were there very late and afterwards our group was really chocked that they let us eat there and order. The service was very fast and even though they were packing up and cleaning they didn't really rush us and encouraged us to take our time. They did want us to order soon because I was nearing last call for food but I felt that was fair. They still gave us a bunch of banchans though. I think the ambience, decor, and over scenery of this particular bcd tofu house is a bit lacking. There's not much around the area besides other restaurants and a boba shop place with one or three public tables. The inside of it was pretty lackluster and aside from being clean there was not much to write home about. Also they had soup eating contests on the tv screen and just for me personally I don't want see people grotesquely stuffing their face while I'm eating a similar soup. The food itself was high quality as usual for bcd but they did stuff my soup with a bunch of stuff to where I almost couldn't fit my egg into it. I think the price is reasonable for the amount of food that they give, I never really finish the combo so I always feel like I'm getting more than what I'm paying for. read more
A classic! No notes. Love how they scoop the rice for you and give you a small whole fish as an appetizer. Favorite banchan is the cucumber kimchi and really appreciate how they will refill the sides for you (refilled x3!) I always get the seafood tofu soup for some variety that I get clams, a mussel, and shrimp. Tried the seafood pancake but wasn't the biggest fan. Even though BCD Tofu House is a well-known chain, I've noticed the banchan (side dishes) can vary slightly depending on the location--and yes, it does make a difference to me especially the fried fish! :) I've visited a few different locations, and the Rowland Heights location continues to be my favorite. The sides seem to had changed. no beans sprouts and potatoes salad as the option this time but so happy for the fish. I did notice two new options -- Korean Tripe and Spicy Raw crab! Another change is egg, needs to be requested not like before automatically added to the order. I only have tried the BCD seafood soup -- always opted for the seafood--flavorful, bubbling hot, and customizable to your spice level -- aim for the spicy but this round burned my tongue. read more
First time visiting the Rowland heights location! Food is consistent, restaurant is significantly smaller, much louder, but they operate with love. Don't take their shortness as being rude, they're just busy, and trying to turn and burn up to 16 tables at a time. They have a manager who helps to maintain the waitlist, as we had a large party, he helped push two tables together to accommodate. The ambiance is chaotic, fair warning lol The kitchen and sinks are exposed so you can see and hear them slamming dishes and utensils. They also have barely any room to move their carts they transport the hot stone rice. If you find yourself in the corner waiting for the restroom, you will absolutely be in the way. Pro tip- don't get up from your table until you see that the bathroom is open lol This location also has you scoop your own rice from the stone pots, the Irvine location has the waitresses do it for you. The ajoonmas at both locations are sweet, and if you flag them down they'll be right over. Last note- the parking lot is WILD. So hectic, so crammed, the spots aren't clearly marked so it's kind of like when you park at a state fair and it's just a big empty lot where cars start to park in pattern When you have a bcd craving, I don't think much will stand in the way! Got the Bulgogi Combo ($30.99) via UberEats. The container contained a decent amount of bulgogi and plenty of onions on the bottom. Wish the meat was more flavorful since it tasted a bit bland. This was 7/10 The beef tofu soup was just ok. I've gotten it mild spicy and it was too spicy for me so I got it non spicy. The tofu doesn't taste as good as it used to. I'm not sure if they make it in-house like how they used to because it doesn't taste as soft or fresh. The soup was very salty and greasy. This was 6/10 The banchans consisted of beancurd, kimchi, bean sprouts, eggplant, and fried crocker. The banchans didn't taste as fresh as it used to I doubt they make it themselves anymore. I was disappointed that they gave me eggplant instead of the usual mashed potatoes. The banchans didn't seem like anything special to me unfortunately. This used to be my favorite Korean tofu spots but I don't think it is anymore. read more

Located in Yes Plaza, a very popular plaza with many popular shops. Parking here can be really tight and packed, despite that, there's plenty of spots to go around. Similar to the BCD in KTOWN, there's a yelp waitlist that can be accessed in person only. My wait time with my wife was about 20 minutes on a Friday evening despite the waitlist saying about 30-40 minutes. BCD has one of my favorite banchan sets, and always comes with fried fish with tofu soup. The standout banchan is definitely the fish cake, the staff always refill banchan unlimited times but this time around, my wife and I didn't need to as our orders were very fulfilling. The tofu soup is always super delicious here, all big portions with egg addon and a bowl of rice as well. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any tofu soup, all just down to preference of food. We we're feeling a bit more hungry this time around so we ordered the seafood pancake to share. Portions are massive for this pancake, easily shareable between plenty. It was perfectly cooked and it's crunchiness compliments the other dishes really well. Super savory and yummy. Only downside to this branch is that the space is not ideal to a "spacious" type restaurant. There were a lot of times where staff would pass by with carts for either orders or cleaning tables and it would almost hit not only my wife and I, but other customers as well. Other than that, food is delicious and well made, staff is fast and friendly, affordable. BCD is comfort food at it's very best. read more

I ordered the pork bulgogi combo. It came with the meat, rice, and your choice of soup. I chose the dumpling soup and a medium spice level. They also bring out a bunch of sides. There was a lot of food. The broth of the soup was great and the rice was fresh. The only issue is this area is usually is packed and we did wait a while on a Saturday night. read more

BCD is one of my favorite tofu soup places. Came here to eat with family after getting back from a trip and it was so satisfying! Service was great as always. Very attentive. I always get the tofu soup when I go. My family likes to get the combos since it feeds more. The only thing that kinda put me off was the dish cart the staff pushes around to clean tables. I think the spaces between tables is too narrow and when the cart gets pushed in between, it's a bit too close for my liking. I just think about all the gunk that's in those containers being so close to my food. Other than that, everything is great! I always come here and enjoy eating their food. read more

BCD is always a hit or miss. This time, it was a miss. The tofu soup was so bland! Very disappointing. We came on a Friday and they were very busy but that doesn't mean they should overlook on quality. Came here on a Saturday around 2:30 PM and there was a bit of a wait, around 20-30 minutes. Once we got inside, the vibes were casual and relaxed. The banchan was delicious and offered a nice variety--including a small fried fish. Here's what we ordered: Seafood Pancake: Crispy, slightly oily, and generously filled with seafood. Personally my favorite dish. Beef Tofu Soup and Bulgogi Combo: The tofu soup was comforting and well-seasoned. I just wish there was more meat. But the classic sweet, flavorful, and tender bulgogi made up for it. Spicy Raw Crab: Fresh, nicely seasoned, not too spicy I'm deducting one star because only white rice was available--would've liked an option of purple or brown rice. read more
Unfortunately I think we got the short end of the stick when coming here. I went to another branch last time and had a much better experience. Wait for food was total around 30 mins~ everything took so long to come out that we had our banchans refilled 3 times. It was around 10-15 minutes in between each of our 3 things to come out. We got the bulgogi + seafood tofu soup combo and the seafood pancake. Seafood pancake and bulgogi were great, but the tofu soup tasted like water and was flavorless. I was so disappointed because I was looking forward to eating some yummy tofu soup too. I would've sent it back but they took so long to push it out we didn't want to wait for a remake The low rating is due to the combination of wait times for the food + the flavorless tofu soup. Omg better than what I have in San Gabriel. BCD Rowland height is just as good as the one in k-town. The LA galbi is perfectly flavored and tender. The seafood tofu soup was super umami. The seafood pancake was good with flavor but wished it was a little more crispy. The parking can be challenging on the weekends and at night but it's avoidable on a weekday lunch. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of space that you didn't feel like you are jam packed in. read more

It had been years since I visited a BCD location only because I don't live near one, but I sure have missed it. Their banchan for one is very unique in that they offer the fried fish that I enjoy so much and the spicy salted squid. This location is not too large but does fit a good amount of people and it was packed on a Saturday early afternoon. I ordered the S1 with beef, spicy and it was as delicious as I remembered. The service was so attentive, the servers and even the manager made sure my glass always had water and my side dishes were always filled. read more
