This is my second time coming here and I was very impressed. My first time coming here was when they just opened and I was really happy with my visit. I came around 8 PM on a weekday night with no wait for a party of four. Parking is easy as well with a parking lot, but I can see it getting full when it gets busy. Our first server was so nice and kind. She walked us through the menu and continually checked in on us with a smile to see if we needed anything or would like to place an order. The food was delicious and you can tell the meat is high quality as well. We really liked the sides it came with, such as the spicy tofu soup and the DIY rice balls (highly recommend!). About halfway through our visit though, our server changed to a young Asian male. We got the vibe that he didn't like us for some reason. It felt like he was rushing us during our meal. Maybe because the restaurant was closing in about 30 minutes... When I placed an order for more meat at last call, it almost seemed like he was annoyed. Whenever he came to our table, he wouldn't really greet or acknowledge us. He seemed to be moving really fast. When we needed a refill on our soft drinks, he would just rudely stick his arm out without saying anything. We had a plate of beef bulgolgi still and at one point, he dumped the plate of meat onto our grill, almost as if to get us to hurry up. While we were finishing up our meats too, he asked if he could start clearing up our banchan and throwing food away. It was just a bad look, in my opinion, while we were still eating. And I don't think we were staying that late... there were still other tables finishing up their meal as well. I heard the table next to us apologized to the waiter for ordering so much, and I heard our waiter say something along the lines of "don't worry - there are some tables who order a ton of meat at the end and it takes so long" ... almost as a dig towards my party. Maybe he was stressed out or something because I think he was the only server left and maybe he just wanted to go home. The vibes just didn't feel so good with this waiter, which is why I'm giving the place a 4/5 today. I wanted to try a new kbbq spot so I decided to come here after seeing the diverse variety on their menu. There were different tiers that included better items, with set B being the most enticing for us. I joined the waitlist for a party of 13 & waited around 30-35 minutes before being sat at 7:30PM on a Friday night. Our server promptly greeted us and explained the menu to us. She also took our order right away & the banchan was already set up on the table. They had a good variety, ranging from cucumbers to kimchi to potato salad and even japchae. Our first round was mainly beef brisket & thin pork belly. Both of them were alright, not the best of quality but it was still delicious. The star of the show for me in the second round was their steamed egg. Next, we ordered galbi, beef tongue, & pork jowl. I was not a fan of any of these meats. Then, we tried their flat iron steak which was extremely gamey. By this point, we had almost tried everything & I was not impressed by any of the meats. Our last order was their pichana steak, which happened to be the best and my favorite meat on set B's menu. If we had tried this earlier, I would've only order this and their brisket. Best KBBQ around! Super fast service and prices are more affordable than other places for the variety of items you can order on the menu. Prices range from $38 for the Set A to $62 for Set C (highest tier that includes seafood). I also love the soups, steamed egg, and the banchan dishes. All the dishes are fresh and delicious! Was super craving Korean bbq and husband found this place on yelp! Glad he did! It was absolutely delicious. We came on a Friday during lunch and were seated rather quickly. The restaurant is very clean and you don't leave here smelling like bbq which I love. Our server Nicole was great! The first time I came here, I tried Set C and it was pretty good. We mainly wanted to try the sides that Set C came with (The Beef Tartare and Garlic Butter Scallops were okkk. The Seafood Pancake and Seafood Boil were good though! I just remembered that the meat quality was decent). They only take reservations for parties , I think, around 20 people. Unfortunately, my whole party was not present when I showed up at 545 so the wait ended up being around 30-45 min. Once I got the food in my mouth, allbof the hangriy-ness was an afterthought. There are 3 different levels from A:$38 to B:$48 and C:$62. We stuck with menu A and it was still a great deal with prime meats. I'm sure they were previously frozen, but when the meats came out it was perfect. Although at KBBQ the protein is usually the star ingredient, the spicy tofu soup and cinnamon sugar pineapple slices stood out to cut the saltiness of the food. Service was on point but parking was meh. There's a shared parking lot and IT IS PACKED (with some people who don't know how to park their Tesla's. But thats another story on its own ). The meat cuts here were very high. My cousins and I stopped in a random weekday. We opted in for the set A AYCE menu. Wow! This is my new go to Korean barbecue spot now! I came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was filled inside, but did not wait in a long line because of how big this place is! The service was really fast after we ordered our food meat started coming out and all of the waiters were more than happy to serve. The meat was fresh and I really enjoyed the sirloin pieces of meat with garlic marinate. The salad was nice and crunchy and I thoroughly enjoyed the salad dressing and would usually use that as dipping sauce however, since the meat was super flavorful, I didn't find myself dipping as much. At the end, they had vanilla soft serve ice cream with brown sugar syrup, and it was super delicious! I don't have any critique to say about this place, I was thoroughly impressed with the food service and ambience! On a Sunday night, around 6pm we got seated under 30 mins after joining the waitlist. Our party of 6 kept joking that our servers were reading our mind, because before the words came out our mouth that we wanted a grill change or another order of meats they were there. This happened constantly, so honestly amazing team they have over here and it's clear they got the efficiency down par. And of course, the quality of meat, I feel like is way too hard to beat at this price point. $38 for Set A, and all of the meat we ordered tasted great with our favorite for sure being the Beef Belly. First time trying this place, make sure you get on the waitlist! Thank goodness you don't need to be in a certain radius to get on the waitlist, cause usually this is a 1hr - 1.5hr wait lol. The corn cheese here was actually really nice and cheesy. I feel like it's pretty hard for kbbq joints to nail down the corn cheese cause it's not sweet or cheesy enough, but this one was spot on. We got Set A and tried various items off of it. Set A was also pretty much enough for us too haha. Starting off, we went with the classic and got the brisket, then pork belly, and steak. The brisket was actually kind of tough, even if you cook it slightly under. It's pretty thick as a brisket. The pork belly was pretty decent, quite thin actually. I enjoyed the steak one, can be cooked perfectly to soft and tender! Also tried the beef belly and that one was actually our favorite. The right amount of fat and meat, it was very flavorful! The one we liked the least was the marinated pork ribs. That one was annoying to cook cause it can be cooked unevenly cause of the shape. In the end, we finished our round with the beef belly. At the end of our meal, you get a free vanilla soft serve with brown sugar drizzle (tasted like boba!). That was definitely a delicious way to end the meal. I've been waiting to come here since they opened, and today was my first time! 10/10!! We came around 5:00pm and there was no wait yet. I was a frequent customer of the KBBQ restaurant that came before 88 KBBQ. It has been fully redecorated. It is now brighter, cleaner, trendier, less smokey, and less noisy. The menu is fairly simple with three different AYCE sets. We went with set C, which includes everything in sets A & B. Service was friendly, quick, and efficient. Our server was great and checked on us frequently, so we never had to wave her down for anything. Grill change? She was on it. Refills? She was on it. More orders? She was on it. Now, the food. The quality is superior to other AYCE KBBQs in the area. All of the banchan were good! My favorite were the brisket, kobe skirt steak, and flower rib meat. The most disappointing were the shrimp lolipop (no flavor) and the bone in marinated beef rib, which was far too soft, but pretty much everything else we had was good. To finish off an already great meal, they have soft serve ice cream! I'm a bit sweet sensitive, so I opted for the plain vanilla ice cream while my friends had the brown sugar dressing. We can be quite picky with the ayce restaurants we go to but the meat quality is great here especially at the prices offered. The ice cream that's provided at the end is also delicious and if you get it plain it's not too sweet which is perfect for me. The restaurant itself is clean as well and when we arrived at 5pm on a Friday, there was no wait but it definitely got busier as we were leaving. The only thing that felt a little off for us was the service. Most of the servers were nice and friendly but the one that was mostly helping us was definitely not. She would hardly smile and changed our grill without even asking - which is fine but she would literally come over and reach to replace our grill WHILE we were cooking or reaching for meat. When they refill the banchan they also took our existing banchan with them to just refill the current plates. This is fine but we thought it was just a little strange as we're used to getting new dishes of banchan from other places and find it potentially a little unsanitary that they do this. KBBQ place that serves higher grade (prime) meats. Pricing is a little higher because of this, but still pretty reasonable considering. Good size interior and the service is very good. Servers were friendly and helped move things along - clearing dishes and bringing ordered items. Good selection of bonchans - get more if you want. We got set A for $38 and it was perfect for us. It had all the main meat choices we like - brisket, beef belly, pork belly, steak, tofu soup, steamed egg, etc. of all the meats, my favorite was the beef belly with their seasoned marinade. 88Q kbbq was recommended by a friend and it didn't disappoint. We walked in and we were 19th on the list. I thought it was going to take more than an hour but we were seated in 30 minutes. They have 3 sets of kbbq to choose from and we got Set B for $48 pp. I like that the menu is not overwhelming as we can usually finish 3-4 meats only. The first thing I noticed was the meat had a clean taste to it. Not fatty at all and good portioned. The Banchan were delicious and we got half full eating them. And the free ice cream was so good! The only thing that needs improvement was the spicy tofu soup. We were provided an exceptional service and their restroom was clean. Parking can be difficult as this location is hidden and the lot is small. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience here and will be back! read more
