Banchans at the start with very clean booth and table even when busy!
    Mason W.

The cuts of meat are consistent! The pricing of menu sets are SUPER fair! And freshness of ban chan is good! I'm coming back 10/10 Just know parking is very crowded and a narrow strip of spots inside the restaurant it is spacious and cozy for private conversations. Thank you to our server for your great service! Hubert was always refilling our side dishes with what we wanted

This is my second time coming here and I was very impressed. My first time coming here was when they just opened and I was really happy with my visit. I came around 8 PM on a weekday night with no wait for a party of four. Parking is easy as well with a parking lot, but I can see it getting full when it gets busy. Our first server was so nice and kind. She walked us through the menu and continually checked in on us with a smile to see if we needed anything or would like to place an order. The food was delicious and you can tell the meat is high quality as well. We really liked the sides it came with, such as the spicy tofu soup and the DIY rice balls (highly recommend!). About halfway through our visit though, our server changed to a young Asian male. We got the vibe that he didn't like us for some reason. It felt like he was rushing us during our meal. Maybe because the restaurant was closing in about 30 minutes... When I placed an order for more meat at last call, it almost seemed like he was annoyed. Whenever he came to our table, he wouldn't really greet or acknowledge us. He seemed to be moving really fast. When we needed a refill on our soft drinks, he would just rudely stick his arm out without saying anything. We had a plate of beef bulgolgi still and at one point, he dumped the plate of meat onto our grill, almost as if to get us to hurry up. While we were finishing up our meats too, he asked if he could start clearing up our banchan and throwing food away. It was just a bad look, in my opinion, while we were still eating. And I don't think we were staying that late... there were still other tables finishing up their meal as well. I heard the table next to us apologized to the waiter for ordering so much, and I heard our waiter say something along the lines of "don't worry - there are some tables who order a ton of meat at the end and it takes so long" ... almost as a dig towards my party. Maybe he was stressed out or something because I think he was the only server left and maybe he just wanted to go home. The vibes just didn't feel so good with this waiter, which is why I'm giving the place a 4/5 today. I will definitely be back and I'm sure it will be a 5/5 experience but we just didn't have a good feel with our second server.

Visited 88Q Korean BBQ and ordered the Set Menu C. I really liked that the table was already fully set with all the banchan before we even sat down -- it made the experience feel welcoming right away. There was a great variety of meats included in the set, so we got to try a little bit of everything, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us regularly throughout the meal. It was maybe a little more frequent than I personally prefer, but the service was genuinely friendly and thoughtful. We also got ice cream for dessert, which was such a nice little surprise and a perfect way to end the meal. We definitely left with full bellies and satisfied. Great spot if you're craving Korean BBQ with lots of options!

I wanted to try a new kbbq spot so I decided to come here after seeing the diverse variety on their menu. There were different tiers that included better items, with set B being the most enticing for us. I joined the waitlist for a party of 13 & waited around 30-35 minutes before being sat at 7:30PM on a Friday night. Our server promptly greeted us and explained the menu to us. She also took our order right away & the banchan was already set up on the table. They had a good variety, ranging from cucumbers to kimchi to potato salad and even japchae. Our first round was mainly beef brisket & thin pork belly. Both of them were alright, not the best of quality but it was still delicious. The star of the show for me in the second round was their steamed egg. Next, we ordered galbi, beef tongue, & pork jowl. I was not a fan of any of these meats. Then, we tried their flat iron steak which was extremely gamey. By this point, we had almost tried everything & I was not impressed by any of the meats. Our last order was their pichana steak, which happened to be the best and my favorite meat on set B's menu. If we had tried this earlier, I would've only order this and their brisket. Overall, I would come back if I wanted to do ayce for kbbq. It is quite far from me so unless I'm extremely craving their pichana, I would make the drive for this.

Best KBBQ around! Super fast service and prices are more affordable than other places for the variety of items you can order on the menu. Prices range from $38 for the Set A to $62 for Set C (highest tier that includes seafood). I also love the soups, steamed egg, and the banchan dishes. All the dishes are fresh and delicious! The restaurant is pretty big so great for larger parties and I love how smoke-less it is so no worries about inhaling all the smoke and getting your clothes smelly. The lines can get pretty long so make sure you utilize their wait list system to eliminate long wait times.

88Q Korean BBQ is super popular for sure. Came here for a birthday dinner and we had to wait over an hour to get seated. The place inside is quite large with nice comfy padded booths. You cook your own meat and have exactly 90 minutes to eat some Korean BBQ. All of us had a good time here and I would say the meat was tasty. You also get dessert at the end with a scoop of ice cream.

Was super craving Korean bbq and husband found this place on yelp! Glad he did! It was absolutely delicious. We came on a Friday during lunch and were seated rather quickly. The restaurant is very clean and you don't leave here smelling like bbq which I love. Our server Nicole was great! Super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed along with plenty of grill changes. The meat quality was pretty good, we got set B which is the middle tier. Had everything we needed to satisfy our cravings, well... my craving. The only meats I didn't care for were the pork items and the prime brisket which I found pretty tough. They had a good selection for kitchen items. The spicy tofu soup was good but a bit on the oily side. We loved the kimchi fried rice and the steamed egg. Will definitely come back and recommend you give it a try!

Best KBB place I have ever been to!!! From OC originally an have had a lot of kbb places doe there, but nothing compares to this place. First off the vibe in here IS LITT. Music bumping, people are hyped all the time. We ordered off the b set which allowed us access to the a and b menu. Our server Joseph was able to describe why the b menu might be a better suit for us and we loved his answer. Throughout us eating Joseph and other staff members were VERY attentive. Water never ran out, sides and sauces and meat was always on the oven. Place is a HAVE TO if you're in Roland heights

The first time I came here, I tried Set C and it was pretty good. We mainly wanted to try the sides that Set C came with (The Beef Tartare and Garlic Butter Scallops were okkk. The Seafood Pancake and Seafood Boil were good though! I just remembered that the meat quality was decent). Now, the second and third time I came here was way better than the first because the meat quality was waaayy better. We always get Set B, which i think is worth every cent!! My family always eats so much compared to their usual amount. My dad loves how they have an adjustable air vent because it sucks up majority of the smoke. The restroom is also very clean!! OKUR NOW THE SERVICE IS HOLY MOLY..EXCELLENT. On a scale of 1-10, they're 1000000. Each visit, our servers were right on it. We had Nicole, Hubert, and Nelson as our servers and they're the best. Nicole and Hubert recognized my party and I, which left us impressed by their memory since our visits were pretty spaced out. The picanha steak and the seasoned sirloin are by far our favorites!! The food always comes out very quickly as well. Anywho, this place is added to my new go to KBBQ spot in Rowland!!

Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Parking: 3/5 Family friendly: 4/5 Stroller friendly: 2/5 ADA accessible: 3/5 My friend suggested 88Q for dinner on a Friday night at 6 pm. They only take reservations for parties , I think, around 20 people. Unfortunately, my whole party was not present when I showed up at 545 so the wait ended up being around 30-45 min. Once I got the food in my mouth, allbof the hangriy-ness was an afterthought. There are 3 different levels from A:$38 to B:$48 and C:$62. We stuck with menu A and it was still a great deal with prime meats. I'm sure they were previously frozen, but when the meats came out it was perfect. Although at KBBQ the protein is usually the star ingredient, the spicy tofu soup and cinnamon sugar pineapple slices stood out to cut the saltiness of the food. Service was on point but parking was meh. There's a shared parking lot and IT IS PACKED (with some people who don't know how to park their Tesla's. But thats another story on its own ). If you're in the area I would recommend this place and hope to come back sooner than later.

The meat cuts here were very high. My cousins and I stopped in a random weekday. We opted in for the set A AYCE menu. This was plenty as the brisket, intestines, pork collar steak, cinnamon sugar pineapple and pork belly were delicious. The meats came out fresh and did not take long to cook. The banchan were delicious. The chimichurri and wasabi powder are great to dip your meats in. They do offer the bean pasta soup and spicy soup in your sets as well. The service here was very high. Our servers brought out all of our food quickly. Our grill was automatically changed. The ceilings were very high and the ventilation was on point. Definitely save some room for dessert as the vanilla was delicious. I'll definitely be back to try their other AYCE set menus and the higher cuts of meats.

Customer service is great, and the servers are pretty quick to bring the food. The environment is very welcoming the minute you enter. Food is pretty good and fresh.

It was our first time here and we had such a great experience! If you come, definitely ask for Alex as your server. He was super attentive, gave amazing recommendations, and was really quick with changing out the grills, which made everything so easy and smooth for us. He made us feel very welcomed from start to finish. The food was delicious, the quality was excellent, and the ambiance was great too. OMG AND THE ICE CREAMMMMMM!!! Definitely recommend this place! We ordered a variety of skewers and sides: - Smashed cucumber salad was refreshing and one of my favorites veggie dish - Lamb and Beef skewers were decent and tender - Special pork jowl had a good fatty texture and great flavor. - Grilled eggplant and scallops were decent as well. Some items were more hit-or-miss for me. The signature chicken wings came out dry & overcooked, and the chicken skin was super crispy almost like air-fried chips -- personally I prefer chicken skin freshly grilled with a softer texture. The beef tongue skewers were sliced too thin, and okra were dry. Service was understandable for how busy they were, but it could be hard to flag someone down during peak dinner time. Overall, I'd say the food quality was okay but not the best skewers I've had, especially at around $50 per person for our group. Still, it's a convenient and lively place for late-night skewer gatherings with friends if you're in the area.

The dishes no longer have that proper wok hei flavor, and the food tasted bad on my recent visit. What made the experience even worse was the service. The staff were rude, dismissive, and acted annoyed that customers were even there. One of the girls, the one with the ponytail, was especially rude and needs to learn basic manners. Another staff member was also unfriendly and gave attitude the entire time. I also did not appreciate being pressured about tipping. A tip should be optional and based on good service. If the service is poor, customers should not be made to feel uncomfortable or confronted over it. On top of that, they add extra charges when using a credit card, including a fee if you spend under $30. That already feels frustrating, but the bigger issue is the attitude and poor treatment from staff. Customers are the reason businesses stay open. No one is asking to be treated like royalty, but people come in to enjoy a meal and should at least be treated with basic respect. If I am going to be ignored, rushed, and given attitude, I would rather stay home and eat in front of my TV. I will not be coming back .. food quality and customer service Nate major improve.

She really contributed a lot to my positive review! The meat was high quality! It wasn't too greasy. The Premium menu includes quite a good variety of meats, such as beef tongue, LA kalbi short rib, rib finger, iron steak, along with seafood options like shrimp, octopus, and squid. We ordered beef tongue, thin sliced beef, pork belly, and marinated chicken. The beef tongue was probably the highlight--it grills nicely and has a good texture. The thin sliced beef and rib finger were decent for an AYCE spot--nothing extraordinary, but satisfying. The pork belly was flavorful and nicely fatty, which made it great on the grill. For side dishes, they offer a good selection including steamed egg, tofu soup, miso soup, ramen, salad, and kimchi. The steamed egg was soft and comforting, and the tofu soup had good flavor, which added to the overall meal. The restaurant environment is simple but comfortable, with spacious seating and clean grills. Service was reasonably attentive and refills of meat came at a decent pace. Considering the current Korean BBQ prices in the LA area, $34.99 for the Premium AYCE feels like a fair mid-range option. You get a lot of variety including seafood and multiple cuts of meat. That said, if you are looking for top-tier meat quality, this place may feel more average. Overall: a good spot for casual gatherings with friends when you want to enjoy plenty of grilled meat without spending too much. Recommended items: * Beef tongue * LA kalbi short rib * Pork belly Solid value for an AYCE Korean BBQ meal.
