Had a great selection for lunch at a good price. They also have a to-go buffet bar that is a good deal too. Very fast service for the amount of food, maybe 15 minutes for everything to arrive. We got free drinks and complimentary chicken feet as well which were very yummy.

First time trying their smoked chicken (Royal Chicken) and the flavor was really good. The sauce went perfectly with it, too. I was ordering it through Weee! to delivery to OC for a potluck and my friends enjoyed them very much. I'll definitely buy it again!

Service is rushed and not the nicest, but you get affordable, flavorful, and fast chinese Togo food. Inside seating isn't that clean as well, but you can get napkins and wipe down yourself. Lots of options available from charsiu, pork belly, duck, beef chow fun, wonton noodle soup, lobster e-fu Noodles and more! Togo station is affordable with lots of delicious items. I ordered the: $8.99 Three entree plate with rice $15.95 Fish maw soup My 3 entrees came with egg plant, braised tofu, and fish fillet with black bean. Pretty packed box but rice was a bit on the drier side. The fish maw soup was filled with fish maw, hot and delicious! Will try their braised pork belly next time and lobster noodles :)

We came back since we're missed the foods here. The portion is very generous, the prices are decent, the taste is just great. The parking is big so plenty of spaces for parking but 1st comes 1st choice. The place is more of hot foods to go but they do have several tables for dine-in. Service is nice and friendly. They do have special deals for dine-in $12 for a dozen of dishes such as sweet & sour pork, Singapore noodle, etc. And 2 dishes for $7.99 with rice for to go. Plenty of choices. The wonton noodle soup is huge, the wontons are big filling and at least 6-8 pieces and the noodle is great. We ordered 3 dishes and 2 side dishes and we have plenty of left over for 2 lunches. The total prices for all of these plus tip is $95 (WAY cheaper than in little Saigon/Korean town). We will be back for more for sure

I've bought takeout from this restaurant twice, and both times, the half roast duck they provided was about 70% duck neck and bones with hardly any meat. Yet, they still charge around $18 for half a duck. This way of doing business is outright deceiving customers. On top of that, the staff's attitude is impatient and unfriendly. I won't be coming back.

At my friend's recommendation, I went to Yummy BBQ to pick up my dinner via app. Yummy BBQ is Hong Kong BBQ style eatery. The Hong Kong eatery is small with limited seating. It offers wide variety of Hong Kong BBQ, comfort food, and drinks. Service is fairly fast as people usually order to go or order on the spot. I ordered honey chashu pork with sausage rice (very good and authentic) and beef chow fun (fried flat noodles - good except forgot to add salt; easy remedy) Great for pick up and take out order and BBQ meat! I will try their roast duck next time!

This place doesn't have rice until 11am. Very affordable bento, but sucks that the rice wasn't ready yet. I am surprised why they don't have rice ready yet. We decided to get the bento without the rice and it is still the same price and same portions. One item for $6.99, two for $7.99, and three for $8.99. We got three three items bento, bean string beans with beef, pork chop, salt and pepper pork, and fish dish. We didn't want to wait for rice so we got the bento without the rice. If you like Cantonese food, this is a great option. $29.06 was the total for three bentos with three items.

We randomly found this place as family passed by it and we were originally coming for the Chinese BBQ. We noticed on the sign that they offered an all day 11.99$ but you must dine in to receive that price. We ordered steamed chicken, sweet and sour pork, pork hock, and house special eggplant. With this deal they also included a bowl of white rice but for the steamed chicken it didnt come with it. The food came out at a decent rate. The steamed chicken tasted pretty good and it wasnt dry, the sweet and sour pork was drenched in the sauce and its a little too overwhelming for me, I rather them either put the sauce on side to dip it or less of the sauce, or if they had an option of salt and peeper pork with a dip of sweet and sour, it would have been better. The pork hock was a decent size and not too fatty unlike other chinese restaurants. Lastly, the house special eggplant did taste good but I wish they added some protein in it to balance the flavors, but overall taste of it was good. It was pretty clean in there and was updated, the staff cleaned up tables pretty quickly. The only factor was at the end of my transaction, one of the staff members hovered our table asking for a tip even though tips are optional. They were pressuring us and made me feel uncomfortable. They should never pressure any customers to a forced tip as tip comes from how you feel the experience is. I would only come back for that deal but the hovering was not it.

Food poisoning from the lobster ... had the lobster noodle today and tasted a bit fishy and mushy. The batter was thick so didn't think to much of it until I got home and started to fell nausea and than started on the vomiting and diarrhea ......, I came to this place couple time for there lobster noodle and was fine but today the lobster tasted I bit off ... Rest of the food tasted alright like usual but the lobster really did me in. Service was decent the waiter was nice and ambiance was clean. Just sorry that I had to wright this review to let other people know to beware of their lobster ... if it taste off than it probably not good .... I learn it the hard way ..... Probably keep to there meat that seem more legit and probably a lower chance of food poisoning....

Roasted Duck and Barbecued Pork with Rice
    Michael Y.

I found Yummy BBQ on a Wednesday afternoon looking to try some more Cantonese Barbecue in the Rowland Heights area. On Yelp, the restaurant does not appear to have many reviews and sits at a modest 3 star rating. But looking at the pictures of the food, each dish seemed to be pretty high in quality. With that, I decided to give them a try and compare to the other Cantonese BBQ places in the San Gabriel Valley. Looking at the variety of options on the menu, I decided to order a Roasted Duck and Barbecued Pork over Rice which was $19.99 at the time of this review. Opening the box of food, I was happy with the amount of meat inside. Lining the bottom was a generous portion of rice. On this layer were two pieces of green choy vegetables, about 9-10 pieces of barbecued pork, and 9-10 pieces of roast duck. With the amount of meat inside the box, I was able to feel full after eating all of the contents inside. Each piece of meat was large and thickly cut which added to the appeal of the dish. For $20 in the Rowland Heights area, the dish can be a little pricey when compared to other areas. And with the amount of rice given, this barbecue combination can definitely seem heavier on the carbohydrates side. But looking at price to portion as a whole, it was fair for the entire Rowland Heights area. Of anything to say about the dish, the taste was definitely the biggest highlight! The choy given was moist, fresh, and lightly crunchy which added a neutral break to the barbecued flavors. For next, the roast duck was succulent near the skin and rich in fiber which made the meat retain a savory flavor. I particularly liked how both thick and thin pieces were given which created a mix in the different levels of fat and different levels of flavor. Not only was the duck delicious, but the barbecued pork was also some of the best I've had in the area. The pieces of pork had a similar sweet taste to the majority of other places in the area. But what really made this barbecued pork stand out is the quality of the meat. Each piece stood out in that they were soft, mildly chewy, and yet still retained the smokey sweetness. Barbecued pork can become dry easily, so it was very impressive to see how well Yummy BBQ handled the meat. Straight to the point, Yummy BBQ easily earns a 4 star rating in my eyes. The portion of food was overall good and the taste of the meat was both authentic and flavorful. If anything I could say, the price might be a tad more expensive than other Cantonese BBQ places in the area. However, the food was definitely worth the extra expenditure. In all, I would be happy to call Yummy BBQ a hidden gem and would definitely come back to try more dishes in the future!

This was the fish filet with pickled cabbage. It's looks like it's supposed to come with red chili peppers, but what I got was completely different from what it looks like on the menu. I waited 30 minutes for this and it was definitely not worth $19.

Delicious. Accepts credit cards. Legit Cantonese BBQ foods. Good low prices too. It's not huge inside, but they do have tables and chairs available inside. Walking distance to other stores/restaurants/grocery store/offices nearby. Lunch and dinner meal options are wide. Generous meat and rice portions. We had a good yellow chicken and BBQ pork rice plate along with fish fillet porridge. Everything tasted very good and all the sauces were given. Iced lemon tea was good. I eventually saved a portion of the fish fillet porridge to go. They have lots of good customers here, especially ones waiting for meat orders. Dine in experience was much better than expected. An elderly man speaking Cantonese and Mandarin served us and he was very experienced, good at the job. For a good BBQ meal meal, this place is legit. You can do family style meals or pick and choose. Every dish that customers had looked decent too. We only came here for a brief/quick bite before 6pm weekday. Nice folks here. Prices were incredibly reasonable and cheap for the quality served. Not bad for a tiny restaurant here. Convenient location.

As a native Cantonese. I approve this spot Came by with my mom on a weekend day as my mom requested that i spent sometime with her, we just quickly picked this restaurant for a quick brunch. Everything is authentic, this includes the food quality, the taste, the tight parking and server attitude. Overall, i had some quality authentic Cantonese food. The BBQ pork hit the mark with crispy skin and saltiness. The fermented bean curd veggie was great. and as usual, getting in and out of the parking lot was chaotic. Feel like an authentic Chinese spot.

Their HK style food is authentic and delicious. We started with the hot and sour soup and it is literally the best version we have ever had. It had a bit of the Szechuan numbing spice and was a huge portion so we took half home. We also ordered their steamed rice rolls with shrimp and chive and you can tell it was made fresh by the wrinkles in the rice paper. The last item we ordered was their chinese sausage clay pot. It was exactly what we were craving. Crispy rice all along the edges with perfectly steamed rice, chinese broccoli and crispy chinese sausage. It was hard to choose because their menu was huge and we came late so we missed the pineapple buns but definitely need to try it next time. I also saw everyone ordering the lemon iced tea and realized it's because they do free refills! That's another need to try. I felt the value was really great and we definitely are coming back. Service was also great. The waiters quickly came over when you waved them down and they checked on you just the right amount of time. The decor inside is very cute and I love the retro style. Only complaint I would have is that we sat on the left side of the restaurant and there were quite a few mosquitos on the booth so we ended up sitting on one side.

It took about ten minutes for us to get a booth table, but we were waiting inside. The staff member called numbers firstly in Cantonese then in English. After we sat down, the waiting line persisted past 1 pm. Similarly, the bustling loudness continued on during the course of our meal. Food arrived quickly, however. The price point for the delicious food is competitive. We got French-style filet mignon ($18.99), braised tofu in brown sauce ($14.99), chicken chow mein ($14.99), and a steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork ($5.99). A pot of rice was included in our meal. The steamed rice noodle roll with barbecue pork was a nice appetizer that arrived first. I enjoyed how the French-style filet mignon was garnished with Thai basil, black pepper, and ginger. The meat was flavorful and tender. The braised tofu in brown sauce was consistently hot on the inside. The delicious brown sauce soaked throughout the vegetables. The chicken chow mein didn't have a lot of sauce, but it was still delicious with a lot of meat included. Overall, it would be nice to visit again outside of a peak time because the food prices are competitive. The menu is expansive, and the breakfast selections look interesting. The atmosphere during the Sunday lunch peak time was consistently bustling. I think the restaurant started to play Chinese music loudly at random points so that people could finish dining more quickly.

Ordering is simple, they give you a paper menu where you mark what you want and hand it back. We ordered tea for two and picked a bunch of dim sum: jumbo shrimp har gow, shrimp fried wontons, steamed rice noodle roll with shrimp, baked abalone sauce BBQ pork bun, poached Chinese broccoli, and custard egg tarts. Everything came out fresh and hit the spot. The har gow were plump and juicy, the rice noodle rolls were soft and silky, and the BBQ pork buns had that perfect slightly sweet, fluffy texture. The egg tarts were a great finish--warm and flaky. Unfortunately, that ended up being the highlight of the experience. We ordered a few dim sum dishes since they were nearing the end of dim sum service, but we mainly came for a family-style meal. The pineapple sweet and sour pork ribs were the first dish to arrive, and they were disappointing -- mostly bones with barely any meat. We also had to ask for steamed rice at least four times while other dishes kept arriving with no rice in sight. The deep-fried tofu was decent and pretty much what we expected -- nothing special, but still a comfort favorite. The French-style beef with mushrooms was actually very tasty, and the beef chow fun was okay. The biggest issue was with the walnut shrimp. We specifically asked for the nuts on the side because some people in our group have nut allergies, but the dish came out covered in walnuts, while the sauce was on the side instead. That mistake, combined with the long wait for rice and the overall attitude from the waitstaff, made the service feel really careless and frustrating. What made it more disappointing is that we've been here before for Chinese New Year and other holidays, and even when the restaurant was extremely busy, the service had always been much better. This visit just felt off all around. The food was mediocre at best, the service was lacking, and overall it was a very disappointing experience. Usually, I would come here during dinner time and the place has great service. Staff members are always friendly and ask if you would like a refill on your iced lemon tea which yes you should get! They have it with sugar or without, I tend to get it without sugar but most people love and enjoy it with sugar. My favorite items are probably their pasta dishes and also their deep-fried chicken wings! It might take a little while to get but it is worth the wait. I love how crispy and juicy the wings are. Plenty of tables for large parties or small sizes but coming here with a group is nice to share and enjoy together.
