Don't be put off by the rural setting. Rayne's a good dude and will work with you. 3) Rayne discovered I had a broken starter recoil spring. He didn't have a replacement but, since the break was near the end, he reconstructed the end to work. He put the starter mechanism back together and installed a new rope. He pointed out that my old rope was too thick and made starting hard, thus putting more stress on the spring, which likely was a factor in it ultimately breaking. 4) Rayne made sure I knew how to pull the starter cord. Yes, there is a right way and plenty of wrong way. 5) I spent an hour with him. His labor and a new starter cord cost me just $20! It definitely was worth my time to drive out there and work with him.

I had googled the repair before looking for a repair company. The repair should be approximately $150-160 for labor and the part $60. When the tech looked at my oven, and discovered that the repair was what I expected, , , His quote was $328 plus tax. I challenged that price, but he said that was the price it would be. I didn't care to pay $89 and then get another company to come out, so I approved the $328 quote. The repair took 22 minutes. The tech was at my home exactly 30 minutes door to door. Next time I will ask what the hourly repair cost is, and if not provided, I will call a company that will quote a labor charge. The tech was nice, qualified, and did a good job. I am only posting because that was WAY TOO MUCH for 20 minutes labor and a $60 part.

A couple days later he came to install it but after a long while trying different things, he concluded it was likely a transmission problem. He was very honest and explained that it wouldn't be worth the repair since you can buy a new washer for a similar price. We paid him a service fee (which could have been applied if we decided to do the repair) but he was nice enough to not charge us for the extra time he spent, so we very much appreciated it. And for anyone out there that might be reading this and thinking maybe he wasn't thorough, he really was! And we never got a bad vibe. Our long time appliance repair technician came out a few days after as a courtesy (Thank you Tyler if you see this!) who we have trusted for several years, and confirmed it's not worth fixing. And for some reason, it kept blowing the air cleaner cover off. I called Mr. Raine and described my issues. He assured me he could fix it. I hopped in my truck and drove up to his home shop in Leander. He greeted me right away and told me you can pick it up later today. Sure enough, he was true to his word. When I arrived, he described what he did to the lawnmower. Replacing the carburetor, sharpening the blades, draining the fuel tank. An overall check up. I cut my grass yesterday. With absolutely no issues. He did recommend that I replace the blade. And of course Amazon had something delivered the next day. Honda makes such a great product and it's rare in this day and age when something can actually be repaired. Mr. Raine is a solid, stand-up guy. True to his word. And he even gave me a guarantee/warranty till the end of the year. Said if anything comes up, just bring it back and we'll get you fixed up. Cleaned out coil and said that should fix it. 8/26/23 Unit stopped working Second time. After the repair. Was operating for 35 hours. Called Tru Blue Warranty called the second time. Tru Blue ordered a new compressor with other parts. Arrived at my hours over 5 days and three different boxes, with no invoice to let me know all the parts were here. 8/27/23 GE/Same guy came out to change all the parts that were here, and it was running for about 30 hours and stopped. GE Claim# 070054629 9/15/23 12:30 PM Called Tru Blue Warranty Unit not working and is tripping off the GFI. Reset GFI and hour later ripped the GFI a second time. 9/18/23 talked to Fergusion and advised them of the performance of their warranty company, they were going to investigate it. So far, no response. 9/19/23 The technician, not from GE, but was scheduled by Tru Blue, showed up at 11:30 AM, worked for an hour and said he had checked everything and left at 12:30PM. 2:00 PM unit set of GFI again. 9/19/23 Called Tru Blue Warranty (Josh) On Hold 45 minutes. They are sending out another technician from GE this time on 9/25/23. Asked to talk to a supervisor and ended call. The supervisor has not returned my call. 9/25/23 10:30 AM GE, new guy came out. And called GE and unit is non repairable. I should get a call withing 24 to 48 hours. 9/27/23 8:00 AM Called True blue again and their computer system was down, and they are checking on it. And then received an email stating it would take 5 days to review. I still don't have a working refrigerator.
