We ordered at the little window with 2 maple crullers and cinnamon roll with extra donut holes. The cruller is light in taste and fluffy and cinnamon roll taste very good and fresh. I had an order delivered by Grubhub this morning, since I am not going out during the virus quarantine. I was craving a donut, and really got a lot more than I expected. Omg! This place is awesome! They have your standard classic doughnut shop fare: doughnuts, sandwiches, apple fritters, croissants, and coffee. They also have adorable unicorn, panda piggy, and Pokémon doughnuts, and they also make a doughnut birthday cake! I came in for the unicorn doughnut for my 5-year-old queen before taking her to the doctor. And when we walked in they didn't have any ready made! But they made one especially for my daughter!!! Super impressed with the customer service today. I arrived around 12:50pm to BC's and had noticed there lunch was served from 11-6pm. When the girl greeted me at the window she informed me they close at 1pm due to Covid and the kitchen is closed because it's so close to closing time. I informed her about the sign showing a different close time and just to have that for awareness moving forward so other people aren't confused are possibly upset. To fix this mistake on the menu they opened up the kitchen for me to make my sandwich when of course they didn't have to as well as threw in a donut on the house. I came here in the morning, and the glazed donut I got was so stale and hard. I think it was left from last night or something because it tasted quite nasty. I highly recommend someone to bake the donuts every morning before the shop is opened because stale donuts are pretty disgusting and it just ruined my morning. This is the best mom n' pop donut shop in LA county. Can't believe they've been here over 30 years!!! I've been coming here for the past 10 years and way more frequently now that I work in the area. It's also ridiculously under priced. I've actually told them to increase their prices because I'm afraid they'll go out of business and I'll lose my favorite donut shop! I go to a lot of donut shops and last weekend paid $8 for two "specialty" donuts from a fancy shop that I ended up tossing after a few bites. I was actually so angry I had to trash them after paying so much, I bought BC donuts the next day to comfort myself lol I've had the glazed, apple fritters, cake donuts, donut hmaple bar, etc. and was always super satisfied. The dad who owns the shop also has some some interesting creations. I don't see him as often anymore but it's good to see the next generation taking over and updating the decor. This is such a wholesome donut shop and a great way to shop local. I've also had their sandwiches which are also very satisfying and affordable. The spicy tuna sounds weird but was actually really tasty (I skip the seaweed). The creme brûlée donut is pricier at $2.50 (most are under $2) but still a good deal.
