BB's Donuts is like many of the excellent businesses in Sharpstown: long-standing reputation, fabulous product, good service, and old school ambiance. I'd be willing to bet they're one of the most established donut shops in the area. The donuts don't have the wow-factor, but they are consistent, classic, and freshly made. While the glazed donuts get most of the shine, their old fashioned is among the better ones I've had in the city. The blueberry cake donut and the maple bar are my forever go-to's and the kolaches should not be ignored. The mini-ones are my preferred, but their jumbo jalapeño sausage is also worth the gut bomb. They're extremely generous with the portions, especially when they dump donut holes to fill in gaps in boxes. Even for Too Good To Go, they stuffed two dozen donuts into a box meant for one. Their commitment to stay fresh is impressive. I appreciate the friendly service, the affordable prices, and the old school vibe that looks like hasn't changed from their initial start. First time. Was visiting my momma. Got there about 5:20 am. Ordered 6 glazed for my mom and 6 jalapeño cheese kolaches and 12 mixed cake. She had 9 and offered 3 of the other kind. It's a small place with nowhere to sit. It's definitely for takeout/ to-go orders. But, what stands out from all the other donut places in the area is their homemade glaze. You can taste the vanilla in it. It's never too overpowering, it's always just right in sweetness. The donuts are super soft, like biting into a cloud. The apple fritters and cinnamon rolls are huge! If you want something salty and savory they've got you covered! They have different flavored kolaches and stuffed croissants with deliciousness like sun-dried tomatoes and cheese, feta and spinach. I once got some of their goodies and didn't eat them for a few days. All it took was a few minutes in the air fryer and all the items came back to life. I live in Richmond area so the drive here is about 25-30 minutes. This place is worth the drive. Probably one of the best donut places I've had in a long time. The lady in the front who handed me my donuts was nice. The location is right off the highway, tiny little shop but quick in and out. Happy belated national donuts day. It's not easy to get around during Covid-19 pandemic when eating out is being restricted. I usually come by to get quick grabs. Since I don't drive as much as before, I still look for donut holes. They never go out if style. Next think to grab is old fashioned dressed with chocolate. It's lightly dipped, not fully covered. That's how I love my donuts. I like glaze but it's so common, I'll get some when I feel like a late-night snack. Rarely seen bear claw and apple fritter are family's favorite. Cut them up and share them. They are super sweet. Sweet as in taste, not personality. My recent visit, I noticed tables and chairs were in the dining area. Ah, they relaxed restriction but masks are still "requirement" per sign. I don't think they enforce it. The plexiglass still up at the counter and employees still wear masks. It is still the nicest donut shop in my side of town. OMG. Did I mention a bag of donuts I got today only costed $6.05? read more

I've always passed this place up but decided to try it since it was one of the few places that were open when it was pre Covid. I've been coming back ever since! Hospitality is 100! The couple is so sweet and nice. I always get the 3 for $1 kolaches for my little ones. They love them!! Super delicious and so easy for the little ones to eat. I have driven by BB's multiple times on my way to and from work in the morning, but only stopped this one time. It was a Monday and I felt I had to have a donut to start the week. From the outside it looks like a tiny little Mom and Pop donut shop. I was surprised to see that they apparently serve lunch as well. There were a few small tables near the storefront that were occupied with gentleman getting ready for work. The selection is smaller than you'd get at a chain but they have enough types of donuts, including cake and old fashioned cake donuts to probably satisfy most people. They also have kolaches, breakfast tacos, and breakfast biscuits. I only had the regular kolaches and donuts. There is a $3.00 minimum to use a credit card, and I think for my Large coffee, 2 donuts, and 2 kolaches it was less than $5.00. As I was being helped by a very sweet and efficient woman behind the counter she greeted regulars and called out their orders to them which I found very endearing. They also have non-powdered creamer for your coffee! Regular, french vanilla, and hazelnut.It's the little things but liquid creamer is my personal preference. Would definitely come back and maybe buy a couple dozen for the office. read more

Get here EARLY. I really can't stress that enough, especially if you want the really good and really popular stuff. This place opens at 6am, and by 9am you'll be picking over what little remains after the donut apocalypse. That said though, when we can make it in time we always pick up some sausage and cheese kolaches, assorted cake donuts, and a couple of Long Johns, which are bar-shaped donuts with chocolate glaze. Say yes when they ask you if you want the Long Johns filled; they're wonderfully light unfilled, but once they've taken them into the back and stuffed them with vanilla custard they're just something else. Everything else is great too, but those Long Johns give even Krispy Kreme a run for its money. Don't be put off by the location or the tiny size of the place - if it wasn't for the fact that they sold out so fast and closed so early, we'd be in here all the time. read more
