But the chicken was still boned so you can't eat it like a sandwich. Perhaps that's a thing, but it was new to us. The wings were pretty good in their "original" salt and pepper style. The sides of mac and cheese, greens, and homemade potato salad were all pretty good. Service was a little clunky and in need of some experience. Despite that the staff was very friendly and appreciative of the business. The ribs, my favorite, are perfectly seasoned without taking over and smoked until it pulls cleanly off the bone without falling off. The smoked turkey is also outstanding, smoked beautifully and truly captures what it should, moist and tender. And of course, the Conecuh sausage is true to the brand and cooked properly. They offer a decent selection of sauces that should please almost everyone. The range of sides is generous and offers something for everyone and the bread is premium quality.
