The photo shows several open takeout containers lined up on a counter.

We ordered Moe's BBQ to go. The food showed up with no utensils. No napkins. No BBQ sauce. Nothing you need to actually eat BBQ. I called to fix it. I spoke with John. He could not handle a simple request. He showed no concern and never apologized. He acted like this was normal and not his problem. Packing a to go order without utensils or sauce is careless. BBQ without sauce is pointless. The response from John made it worse. No ownership. No solution. No apology. This place failed twice. First with the order. Then with the way they handled it. I won't be back. I don't recommend Moe's BBQ to anyone who expects basic service or accountability.

Stopped here on my way through. Pics online looked great. The parking lot across the street was nice to find. When i walked in, no one greeted me. I had to find an employee and ask if it was self seating. It is. So i say down and was promptly approached by Kate who gave great service. I got the pork skins. Which were really good even though i wasn't partial to the seasoning that was on them. I also ordered the combo with sausage & ribs with a side of mac n cheese and banana pudding the ribs were good. A little more pull than i like. The sausage was meh. The mac n cheese appeared dry but was the best dish i tried. The banana pudding had cinnamon in it and i wasn't a fan at all of that. The corn bread was interesting and tasty. It appeared to have been cooked in the smoker in cast iron then sliced like meatloaf and fried. It had a crispy outside and chewy inside. Also tasted a hint of jalapeño. It's worth a stop.

Even though it was super busy due to Mardi Gras, my food and experience was good. I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and had Mac and Cheese and Collard Greens. I also had my sandwich "Bama Styled" so it came with pickles, Cole Slaw and a special sauce. It was very delicious. The only complaint I had was my friend received her order about 15 minutes before I did and we placed the same order at the same time. However our waitress, Ashley rectified the issue and my food was eventually delivered.

Absolutely amazing. I got the pulled pork baked potato and it was the best BBQ I've ever had. Couldn't recommend more. Waiter was very nice and helpful.

Driving through Alabama and had a quick BBQ stop. Good BBQ and sides. We were surprised there was no beef on the menu compared to California BBQ restaurants. There was no burnt ends, Tri tip, nor brisket. Mostly different styles of chicken and pork. Surprised to see turkey in the menu. Service was friendly and fast.

I have a new favorite dish: Loaded Totchos with both pulled pork and pulled chicken. Yes, it costs extra to have both meats instead of just pulled pork, but my goodness is it worth it! My friend allowed me to snap a photo of her plate as well. We love visiting Moe's where the food doesn't disappoint, the drinks are fantastic, the live music or Trivia Night is always a great time, and we thoroughly enjoy every visit!

Moe's had a great atmosphere. Live music and good food. The pork was run of the mill bbq but the bbq nachos were probably the best I have had. The chips were house made and stayed crisp to the last bite.

I left expecting memorable barbecue. I left wondering what all the hype was about. The restaurant has a true down-home, hole-in-the-wall country smokehouse feel. The building looks like a converted home, and the patriotic, pro-America décor fits the barbecue theme well. Unfortunately, our experience got off to a slow start. We walked in and weren't greeted, which made for an awkward first impression. I ordered the DDD Burger, the restaurant's featured burger made with a half-pound brisket and chuck blend, rib candy, pepper jack cheese, and Spicy Carolina sauce. I paired it with Boss Beans and French fries. My wife ordered the Smoked Pulled Brisket on a baked potato with pepper jack cheese, butter, sour cream, White BBQ sauce, and Sweet & Spicy sauce, plus a side of banana pudding. MeatBoss_Menu_12-5.pdf The food arrived warm, but it could have been served much hotter. The biggest disappointment was the DDD Burger. For a sandwich that's been showcased on national television, I expected something that would justify the recognition. Instead, it was simply underwhelming. I didn't dislike it, but I certainly didn't get the hype. It lacked the flavor and wow factor you'd expect from a signature item. The sides followed the same pattern. The Boss Beans were basic, and the fries weren't as crispy as they should have been. My wife's loaded baked potato was also underwhelming. The White BBQ sauce and Sweet & Spicy sauce were both okay, but neither added enough flavor to make the dish memorable. Dessert didn't change the outcome. The banana pudding was fine, but there was nothing special about it. Ironically, the best part of our meal was the Coke Zeros. Pros * Authentic country smokehouse atmosphere * Patriotic décor * Generous portions Cons * No greeting upon entering * Food could have been hotter * Signature DDD Burger failed to impress * Basic beans * Fries lacked crispness * Loaded baked potato was underwhelming * Average banana pudding * Overall meal didn't live up to its reputation I genuinely wanted to like Meat Boss, especially given its appearance on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Unfortunately, nothing we ordered stood out enough to make us want to return. For us, Meat Boss wasn't a boss at all. It was more like Meat Meh.

They are a bbq place so of course I ordered the rib plate. The menu I saw said it came with 2 sides but when I was on the phone the man said the plate came with vinegar based coleslaw. I don't normally do coleslaw but I didn't want to complicate things so I went with it. That completed my order so I headed down to pick it up. I wasn't sure of the atmosphere of this place since it was my first time ordering. I got there and it seemed like a cozy little place to eat. There appeared to be limited parking. There is space in the back and on the side. I parked on the side of the building. When I was approaching the front of the place I saw that one of the windows had been knocked out. There was glass laying below the window. Also, the part of the deck right before you walk in the door was a little unstable. Not sure if this was apart of the ambiance but it didn't deter me. Anyway my order was waiting when I got to the cashier. The ride home smelled delightful. The first thing I did when I got home was try the coleslaw. It didn't look all too appealing but it was coleslaw. Coleslaw in my estimation is not a food that is aesthetically appealing. Anyway, the coleslaw was edible to me even though I'm not a coleslaw person. I wouldn't recommend it to people who don't like coleslaw. Next up, the ribs. They looked amazing. They had some little burnt parts that make it authentic bbq. I should've tried them without the sauce but I poured the sauce on first. The sauce and the ribs were excellent. The sauce was a mustard based sauce and it was delicious. The weren't especially juicy since they were babyback ribs but the taste was excellent. And the French bread and the little onions added a nice little touch to the plate. All in all I'll give my experience 4 stars. I wasn't quite sure what was going on with the building. Was it broken into or not? That did take a bit from my score but the food and service aspect of it was top notch. Go to Bay Barbecue. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered the sampler platter with four sides and cornbread for $35 before tax. Let me tell you, I got home and opened up the platter and then all the sides, and I knew this was about to be good. The pulled pork doesn't need any sauce; it doesn't need anything. It has flavor in every bite. Not one piece is dried out, then I ate one of them sausages....... these will be the death of me, the sausage was perfectly cooked I don't know if they make them but man that flavor with the smoke hit me like a flyball, the ribs, fell off the bone, these ribs are so good they give big known restaurants a run for their money and then the chicken, how do they get that skin so crispy and not Burnt or dried out that chicken is nostalgic. Let's get into these sides GET THE GREEN BEANS!!! Goodness, that flavor can awaken a sleeping person, so get them! Potato salad is very good. I love the freshness of the onion and how it was not oversalted. You could add more if you want, but it's very good! Baked beans--no words. The flavor is undeniably fantastic, and the savory richness with a little kick is so good. I mixed a bit of potato salad with the beans, and oh my!!! Mac and cheese will have you aching for more. The pepper was not overwhelming, just a perfect amount of spice, and the creaminess was in every bite; not one bite was plain. All the macaroni was covered in cheese as it should be. Lastly, every bite of cornbread had me grinning from ear to ear. Definitely try this spot out. I was finally able to make a point of making a special trip over there on a Saturday late afternoon. Unfortunately it still wasn't the best timing for a first trip or making a review as we were limited to what we could order based on the fact that their hours state they close at 5 but they shut the kitchen down at 4:30 and we got there just after 4. It's hard going out for dinner to a place that closes at 4:30. I ordered a sausage sandwich which to my delight was not the monotonous Conecuh. It was really good and reminiscent of some of the whole in the wall places in Texas that does good sausage. The only draw back was that being near closing time they didn't have links but was able to do slices. It was good but hard to eat. My hubs got chicken and ribs. I liked the ribs... they still had some bite, tender but not falling apart, and the smoke is mild, not overkill like so many other places do. Hubs wasn't a huge fan of but I thought they were nice. The chicken was on the dry side, but I never go to a bbq joint to order chicken so it's not a deal breaker for me. The only major downer was that all of our sides seemed to be standard pre-made and ordered items, not made in-house. I also liked the hole in the wall vibe, the friendly staff, and the divine smoke aroma that lets you know you're in the right bbq joint. All in all I enjoyed their Q and will need to go back when I can get the timing right to sample their steam table offerings.
