That is basically selling the pitcher of beer to you for $15. B ordered the lunch special beef on rice. The food was really tasty. I really like my chicken. It was juicy and flavorful. I was surprised how empty the restaurant was. Parking is pretty brutal in this parking lot. It is a one way parking and you have to go around the entire parking lot to exit. Food was very good overall.. would have been better if we had done a better job of ordering . Ended up ordering all sweet foods (garlic crunch and soy garlic chicken, reg tteokbokki and cheese balls. I wasnt expecting the cheese balls to be sweet but were mildly sweet as well - very oozy and molten centers and crispy exterior - we liked these. Reg tteokbokki was yummy but was verrry spicy - which we didn't mind but it was spicy enough to make some people I know cry lol.. in hindsight, we should've ordered a plain fried chicken and not 2 sweet fried chicken dishes.. I didn't like the garlic crunch chicken- the garlic crunch topping had a buttery and granulated garlic taste that I found nauseating .. the chicken beneath was still deliciously crunchy and juicy.. soy garlic has long been my favorite but it's so much saltier than in Korea.. we liked the food overall but keep in mind the salt/sugar content on future visits - ie, ordering non sweetened foods or asking for sauces on the side. Been at this location for several times and I'm happy that they're consistent with their service and quality of food. The place was not busy so we got seated on the the same spot we always get, the corner at the back. Staff are friendly and always check our table needs. The foods we've ordered were very very hot. Chicken pieces were big in size, tender and juicy. The sauce was very good in taste and not super spicy. The fries were very good especially the sauce on secret fries. I think the BB.Q chicken & pub just became one of my favourite places to get fried chicken in the lower mainland. Nothing beats ending off a long week with some well fried chicken and drinks. I noticed that they do "somaek" (soju + beer) here and I had to try. Your party is able to order one pitcher of beer along with one bottle of soju, and the waiter helps you to pour it into a tower where both are mixed together. Be warned, you might get tipsy! The cheeseling chicken is a DEFINITE MUST when it comes to this restaurant. As a group, we were quite skeptical about how this one would taste, as none of us are really into "cheesy" items. However, this one tasted amazing and not overly cheesy. The powder they put on top of their fried chicken is a mixture of cheddar cheese and mascarpone. I think that the mixture made it so that the cheese itself was not too heavy, nor did it cover the taste of the chicken itself. I would highly recommend everyone to try this dish when they go to this restaurant! We also ordered the following: Gangjeong Chicken, Honey Garlic Wings, Soy Garlic Wings, and Secret Sauced Wings. I liked that none of the sauce made the chicken itself less crispy. The chicken itself was juicy and the plentiful sauce just made some great chicken even better. Really good Korean Fried Chicken! The cheesling one was always one I've been afraid of getting in fear that it's only a bit of cheese added but they really pack on the cheese powder and flavour here. The only downside is that the wait is long for the food to be served, it seems like because of covid they prioritize take out orders rather than focus a bit more on their sit in. Yes, this is no ordinary fried chicken joint if you have watched the popular korean drama Crash Landing on You! I ordered the Soy Garlic Chicken+ Cheesling Chicken + Cheese Balls. Out of the two flavours I tried I was quite surprise how much I liked the Cheesling flavour! It reminds me of that powdery cheese I use to love in microwave popcorns! And those cheese balls are soo good! Savoury, creamy and a bit of stringy cheese in the inside and mochi chewiness on the outside! For those who prefer dark meat I would recommend ordering the wings as I find them more moist, but it does have a bit less meat than the chickens in the whole size or 8 piece orders. My korean friend highly recommended this restaurant, she said this was the best fried chicken in Vancouver. We went here with high expectations. We arrived around 12:15; we were the first group of guest seated. We ordered 8pcs of the following: soy garlic chicken, secret sauce chicken, and the golden original fried chicken! As well as a side of secret sauce fries. Being the first seated guests, we know we will get the freshly fried chicken that we admirably anticipated. It was a busy lunch rush hour, so we had to wait for 40 minutes or so, but it is all worth it!!!! When the chicken came it was juicy inside, crispy outside! Most importantly the secret sauce really blow us away! It has a great mixture of taste! On top of that, they are not greasy or oily! We ate one after another! Ever since I got introduced to bbq chicken, I've been hooked! It's a popular korean fried chicken chain that I've seen advertised in a bunch of kdramas. So glad I have it here now. Located in a plaza where Hmart is. Call ahead! I had to wait 30-45 minutes but it was worth it. 3 boxes of eight piece chicken was a little more than $40+ total and they dont just give you thighs and leg but other parts of the chicken. The battered skin is so thin and it doesn't feel too greasy as they deep fry in olive oil. It comes with pickled radish as a pallet cleanser and I'd recommend having beer or a fizzy drink to wash it down. Soy garlic was my favourite out of the 4 I've tried. Salty, slightly sweet. I can literally eat a whole box of that. The gangnam style (yes, that's actually what it's called) was spicy from the chopped peppers and savoury. The secret sauce chicken is a yangneom sauce so its spicy and sweet. My least favourite was the golden not sauced version. It's definitely not bad at all but the other flavours were way too good to compare with this one. read more

They are a franchise from Korea and they do their chickens different than other places, it's basically a half or whole chicken you are getting with bones and all. This is the best KFC (Korean fried chicken) in town so far. My favourite is the cheesling wings. It's been super popular in Korean in the last 2 years or so, and this is the first and probably only place that serves it in Metro Vancouver area. The golden fried chicken is crispy, juicy and tender. Secret sauce chicken is yummy too, but would be better with just a little bit of kick, but it's just for my own taste. It took a hour for us to get our 2 baskets of chicken. I love this restaurant because I am a customer in there Aberdeen store. It was the first time eating in the Coquitlam restaurant and super long wait. They seemed forget my order because I saw someone came later than us and they got their chicken earlier. We had to ask the waitress (but she was really supportive) three times about my order every 20 minutes. The kitchen and staffs focused on to go orders and let us and the rest of dine in customers wait for more than 40 minutes. When I checked in with them, I asked if they could check if the chicken was ready under my number. They said they don't have my number. Had to show my bank statement as proof of purchase. After I was given the chicken (it was already on the counter.) What were they going to do with the chicken if I had not checked in? If you are going to ask for a number to verify orders please verify especially if it is the only way as proof of purchase, imagine if I didn't bring up my bank statement. It's a Saturday night, we are VERY HUNGRY but really craving bbq chicken for dinner. 6:45 PM: Called from Vancouver and they said takeout requires 1-hour prep. Food SHOULD be ready by 7:45pm. On average takeout usually takes 20-30 minutes. But we decided to accept the 1 hour prep time. ORDER PLACED AT 6:45PM. 7:30 PM: We drove to Coquitlam and arrived at 7:30pm. Paid for order and server said food SHOULD be ready by 7:45pm. They asked us to wait another 15 minutes. The place IS NOT BUSY. 7:45 PM: They said "the kitchen lost the order" so needed another 15 minutes. WE ARE VERY HUNGRY AND NOT HAPPY. 8:00 PM: Food still not ready..... 8:05 PM: Food is FINALLY ready and server came and apologized on behalf of the kitchen. Gave 2 free pops as an apology. We do not drink pop. Very disappointed. Me and my friends came here as a group of six and were told to wait an hour due to covid which we understood, however upon being seated we couldn't order any alcoholic beverages at the table because one of my friends had an Alberta license. We were told they could only serve BC residents. This resulted us to ordering takeout instead of dining in, when we asked the server how long it would take for us to get our food he told us it would take an extra 40 minutes.
