    Steamed egg $10.95

One of my favorite Korean fried chicken places in this area If you like your fried chicken not drenched in sauce, then this is the place for you I got the bone in fried chicken in soy The batter is not too thick and the chicken is marinated in the soy sauce The meat was extra juicy because it's bone-in chicken We also got the steamed egg and it was not what I expected. It was not smooth, overcooked and tasted plain. I don't recommend this dish We also got the pickled radish that comes with the fried chicken and no other side dishes. We mainly came in for the fried chicken so we didn't really miss the side dishes

I love this place. I've been coming here for years when it was further up north on North Rd. (you'd have to be Canadian to understand that this is not a typo). The new location is much more spacious. It's in a busier location where parking can be a pain in the I liked the old location because I could always stick my head in the kitchen on my way to the washrooms to thank Eonni/Oni for her wonderful chicken which brings joy to us all. The chicken here is amazing and of good value. I also like that they're open later for when I'm starving after a late shift.

After a nice day out, my friend was craving Korean and suggested this place. Was starving when we arrived so was super excited for fried chicken and Jap Chae. Upon arrival we were asked to sign in for Covid tracking, which was great. Didn't realize until it was too late but both of the server's did NOT wear masks which made me worried what was going on in their kitchen. We ordered a small order of boneless sweet and spicy fried chicken, jap Chae, and a seafood pancake. Had to ask for tea and we only got one complimentary side dish - pickled radishes. Was weird that we only got one side dish as usually multiples are included, or none at all. Fried chicken came and was super hungry and excited and it did not meet expectations at all. Chicken was only luke warm (not fresh), the breading was too thick, and it was not crispy at all. The sweet and spicy sauce wasn't bad but the fried chicken quality is better at 7-11, which isn't saying much. Jap Chae came and it was average. Big chunks of the yam noodles stuck together. Seafood pancake had decent filling but it was undercooked as both the top and bottom were soft and soggy, no signs of crispiness. As a starving person your food expectations are lowered but with 3 dishes for about $68 I felt disappointed, ripped off, and unsafe patroning this restaurant. With so many other Korean restaurants near by not sure why my friend brought me here but I won't be back.

1/2 Original 1/2 Sweet & Spicy Fried chicken $21.99 Pork Backbone Hot Pot $32.95 Seafood Pancake $18.95 Grilled Boneless Chicken with Cheese $13. 99 ~ Their fried chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, very delicious! I prefer the original over the sweet and spicy one as I find it a little too saucey, but the flavours were good. Seafood Pancake is our usual at any Korean restaurant as it can never go wrong. Very crispy and super satisfying! The pork backbone soup was also really well balanced with flavourful pork soup and fillings. Their grilled chicken was also very savoury wrapped with cheese and those yummy chewy rice cakes!

So I asked my girl what she wanted to eat and she said I don't know. So I went through the whole list, sushi, white food etc and then I said Korean food. She said no...well guess what. Here we are. At Korean restaurant. Food is good though!

Super small portion yet over $15. Opened the box and honestly thought it was joke. Not even half of the container was full so I'm very disappointed.

First time here with friends as per recommendation by the neighbour barber shop and our experienced was good. The place is huge in space and not busy when we came in. Staff are friendly and attentive. The chicken we ordered are very crispy and have delicious breading. The Seafood pancake is a winner. Definitely will go back here.

If I was a dying Pharaoh I would request this chicken in my tomb, so that I may continue to have it in the after life.

Great Korean restaurant. The fried chicken was on point. Not too much breading and had a great crunch. The prices are very reasonable and good portion size.

Service was pretty quick when I visited, wasn't too busy with about three other tables of diners. Food-wise: their prices and portions are quite reasonable but I have yet to discover my favorite menu item or their best dishes as taste for bulgogi was just okay. Overall, their weekday lunch special is good value. Though their food on my first visit wasn't especially memorable, their spacious interior + modern ambience + efficient service + good value and free parking brings them up from 3.5 stars to a 4 stars rating since this is a place I would definitely consider visiting again to try other dishes. And I am hopeful about finding items to my liking because they offer a fairly diverse food and drinks menu.

It's simply decorated with Soju bottles or posters of Korean pop stars or actors. Love the casual and laid back vibe! There is a bell on the table if you need attention from the servers, and they are usually pretty efficient and fast when it is rung. We saw that there was a $9.99 combo deal and everyone at our table was shocked. We all ordered that. The combo comes with your choice of a noodle dish (Jajangmyeon or Black Bean noodles, Korean udon, or Spicy Cold noodles) and a Beef Bulgogi on the side. I ordered the Jajangmyeon with the Beef Bulgogi and it was great! I enjoyed the nice chew from the noodles and the Black Bean sauce was flavoured well. I was pleased to find chunks of pork in the noodles also. The Beef Bulgogi was a little watery, but tasted sweet and tender. All that food for $9.99. That's unheard of in this economy and in these times! Amazing. We'll definitely return as we saw other great deals on the menu also!

I dont really like jambong, so I'm super glad 88 noodle house lets you choose 2 jjajangmyeon! Perfect combo. For the meat dish, you can get tangsuyuk or gganpunggi. We chose the gganpunggi (sweet chili chicken). Jjajangmyeon was ok. Nothing too special about it. Good portions. The gganpunggi was also a good portion! However, I found that it was mostly batter, and since they use a mix of tapioca starch and other as breading, it gets jello-y when not completely cooked. The flavor was really good, but I was disappointed with the batter to chicken ratio. I will continue my search for this type of combo!

We always get the black bean noodles. Flavour is consistent, tasty, and it comes out quick and hot from the kitchen. We rotate between the sweet chili chicken and the sweet and sour pork. This time we got the sweet chili chicken. Flavour is good and comes piping hot and crispy. However, I did find the breading a bit heavy and there is a lot of fat in the layers. Same goes for the sweet and sour pork. I love their coating and the flavour is great, but sometimes I just get a coated piece of fat which is a bit off-putting. We also like the japchae, but find it has a bit too much onion for us. Ok cold nights we like to get the 88 noodle soup. Hot, peppery, slightly spicy. Goes well with the pickles they give you. Service is always quick and polite. No issues there. And the seating is spacious with lots of booth seating.
