The wash that comes with the pulled pork is full of flavor built with vinegar, chili flakes, and sweetness that tastes like honey. *SHIVERING* Poor customer service is a huge liability for a business. I don't know if the woman at the counter treats everyone like this or just me, a Hispanic woman. Hmmmmm. Just received the WORST customer service at BBQ 152. The wanna-be 'goth' woman at the front counter gave me the coldest shoulder I've EVER encountered. No 'hello', 'can I help you', NOTHING. There were only 2 customers at tables, not busy. 'Wanna be goth' deliberately ignored me, literally looked away from me. Giving off a 'DO NOT DISTURB' vibe. I asked her a question about one of the dinners, was it a pound or half a pound of tri tip. She coldly answered, '8 oz'. Quiz time: I asked, 'so is that a pound or half a pound??'. She just shrugged her shoulders and coldly answered, 'I don't know'. Wow. Way to go BBQ 152. As she threw the bag of to go food at me, I could still feel the bitterness of the cold. I spoke to a man outside the restaurant. He said wanna be goth wasn't feeling well... (not my fault). Boo hoo. He said if he had assisted me, the encounter would have been better. The food was good , I have been here before and never reviewed them , the BBQ was moist and warm and perfectly cooked the BBQ sauce wasn't needed but it added some zing and flavor . Ambiance was great . I highly recommend this awesome BBQ restaurant . read more

We recently had the opportunity to try this place and we were not disappointed. There was a group of us so we ordered several different things and shared. There wasn't really anything we didn't like, but the favorite item was the BBQ Beef Sandwich on garlic bread. The meat is spicy but it was so tender and flavorful. Another favorite was the ribs. Loved both the regular and spicy bbq sauce they have on the table as well. The side dish everyone seemed to gravitate to was the potato salad. Nice selection of beers on tap as well. read more

Delicious. 3-meat meal: tri-tips, chicken, ribs. Potato salad on the side included (there are choices). Garlic bread included. Tri-tips were excellent. Chicken was excellent (you get a quarter chicken). Ribs were excellent. The sauce comes on the side, by the way; so you don't have to have sauce if you don't want. Potato salad was acceptable. Garlic bread was possibly the best I've had. They also have berry cobbler with vanilla ice cream, which is delicious. Prices are fair. And the meat is smoked properly for hours. read more

I love this place...pint night coincides with Thursday night football, so that by itself is tremendous. A few beers and a couple sliders is the perfect way to do things. I've been a few more times. It has not stopped being a complete ripoff but if you order carefully you can survive. The ragin bull and firebird (spicy!) are very good, and the salad with meat is excellent. However, I will not be taking anyone else there or buying beer again. I made the mistake of taking myself, another adult, and 2 kids, and it was over 70 dollars with the 2 beers we had. Just freaking insane for the style of place this is. The kids were not into the meat but they have terrible taste. In addition, they don't have any way for you to pick up food quickly if you order ahead. You may still have to wait in a long line. I had to wait what seemed like a very long time - more than average for this type of restaurant. You have to wait again if they've forgotten anything in your order because nobody else is around to ask. In writing this I'm realizing this place is just disappointing every time I go. I gather that they are so proud of their style of BBQ that they don't think much else matters. read more

simple, order at the counter, food comes to you. smoked chicken was very moist. beef ribs was delicious. I'm not a big fan of the sauce, but it wasn't bad. coleslaw and beans come in those little take out sauce containers, so there isn't much. but the slaw was delicious, not too vinegary, not filling in the sense that it doesn't make you more full in addition to the meats. garlic bread was delicious, could taste the garlic. read more

Came here for lunch after a lacrosse game in Carmel. The place is a cute little joint with a lot of character (fun chalkboard menu). But the tables and window coverings could be cleaned up more. Kinda dusty feeling in there. Unless that's the ambiance they are trying to convey? However, the food makes up for it. The tri-tip sandwich is pretty awesome. Just the right amount of tender smoked meat on buttered garlic bread. How can a sandwich so simple be that tasty? We also ordered the ribs to go to have later for dinner at home. The potato salad is pretty yummy too! We were bummed that they didn't have any berry cobbler though. They said they were sold out from the night before. Came here after doing a nearby search while being at the outlets. I got the 3 meat combo. Ribs, brisket, links. All three were delicious amd I love how the smoke flavor wasnt so overpowering you couldnt taste the meat as some places do. They also have a cinegar dig that os really served with the pulled pork called hogwash. Put any meat in it and you wont be sorry. Cant wait to go back read more

I should have known it wasn't going to be good when there was no smoker out front and no smoke coming from the place that it wasn't going to be good. I had such high hopes for this bbq restaurant, because I had driven past it so many times and it always smelt so good. But unfortunately I was a little disappointed here with my experience. The restaurant has a fun and welcoming vibe, It's family friendly, and can accommodate a decent sized group. They have several different bbq and hot sauces which are pretty good, and they have a large variety of meal options on their menu. So anyone is sure to find something they'd like. However with that being said, when it came time for me to order off their menu, they seems to be out of almost everything. I couldn't understand how a bbq restaurant could run out of tri-tip, and ribs. This was a bummer to say the lease, considering I came to this joint eager to try their bbq beef. So instead I ended up ordering a hot link sandwich. Which I can't lie was pretty tasty, but it didn't satisfy my bbq craving. If I ever go back maybe I can try their bbq beef. read more

We are regulars now! My husband and I are huge BBQ fanatics, and we are so glad to say that we found a really good spot where my husband doesn't have to BBQ and we get served. Some good ol BBQ. Quite tasty, I'd recommend the pulled pork. They have some great dipping sauce and allow you to put on the BBQ sauce as you see fit. Pretty good price, we got the 3 plate entre and it was plenty of food for two people. Apparently they have a half price beer happy hour too with some pretty good selections read more
