First of all let me say that if I could give 0 stars or negative stars...I would!!!
I took my I Pad here for repair on a Sunday afternoon around 2:00 pm. At the time I dropped it off, my I Pad was "still" working normal, but the screen was shattered. All it needed was a new glass screen. I got so much more than I bargained for. Taking my device here was a BIG MISTAKE!!!
FIrst of all, when I called on the phone they told me the turn around time was usually the same day as it only takes a few hours to replace the screen. After I drove from Anaheim Hills to Westminster for the repair, they told me it would be ready the next day around noon.
Then the next day around noon, I called to confirm that it was ready and they said no, it would be more like 3:00 pm before it was ready. Then around 2:00 pm they called to tell me that it wouldn't be ready until the following day. After me insisting that I needed the I Pad back and that their continual time delay was unacceptable, they promised to have it ready by 6:30 that evening. They did come through on their promise and it was ready at 6:30 pm when I arrived.
As if that was not a bad enough experience in itself, less than 2 weeks later the corner of the new screen began to crack. Plus the screen wasn't working 100%. The screen wasn't responding to my touch like expected. Like an I pad or I Phone usually does.
By the next morning the crack had extended towards the center of the screen by about 2 inches. When I called to voice my concern that I felt this was a "Stress Crack", the gentleman on the phone belittled me questioning me "How do you know that it is a stress crack"?, in a condescending tone. Shocked, my response was I guess I don't , but I agreed to take the I Pad back to Westminster for evaluation as they warranty their work for 30 days. Or so they say.
Upon arrival, they looked at my I Pad and quickly responded that the I Pad had been dropped or misused, as the crack was a result of such trauma. I assured him that he couldn't be more wrong. He agreed to fix it. But I would have to pay $70 or $75 (I can't recall the exact amount) for the new screen. But he was going to waive the labor charges. As if he was doing me a favor. Note that he had previously told me that the screen is a $30 piece and the rest is labor. When I brought this fact to his attention, he agreed to fix it for $30. I felt that this wasn't fair as it hadn't even been 2 weeks. He would not do anything about it.
AND...This is the icing on the cake....When I told him that I was going to take the time to write a review about this on YELP...he threatened me. He told me that if this review hurt his business in any way, that he was going to come after me. I welcome it 100%. read more
