Placed a large order through GrubHub (50 wings, regular fries, loaded fries, Kimchi fried rice, and…read morea burger). The wings were very big--not like the puny ones you get at some of these other wing-specific spots. They were also battered and not simply dry fried which made them more crispy and enjoyable. I ordered the traditional salt & pepper, buffalo and lemon pepper flavors. My kids and I were surprised by how much we like the simple salt & pepper flavor--really well-executed and emphasized the quality of the chicken they used. My wife is a hot wings lover so she really liked the buffalo and also commented how the batter coating on the chicken made it way tastier/crispier. The lemon pepper flavor was also good, I just wished they went a little extra with the lemon pepper powder on top of the wet coating. I think this would've made the flavor over the top. And regardless of the flavor, the interior meat was juicy and well seasoned. The fries were the large crinkle cut variety--which I prefer. I like me a meaty potato-y French fry and these definitely fit the bill and paired well with the chicken. The loaded fries were also a surprise. It was covered in al pastor, jalapeños, cheese, and radish slices--my daughter and I really enjoyed it and the portion was huge. My son doesn't like wings so I got him the burger. A little different than your typical California style burger but he was pleased. To be honest, we were so full that we didn't even touch the kimchi fried rice until the next day--nevertheless very solid and well garnished with scallions and gim (nori). NGL we added some shredded cheese and fried eggs just bc that's what the cool kids are doing these days. All said, we really enjoyed our meal. We're a big family so it's often hard to please everyone, but this time there wasn't one unsatisfied customer and we'd all agreed that we will be ordering (or dining in) again.

And then after seeing some really good reviews on Yelp, I decided to check this place out by calling in a 30-piece order (with Buffalo and Garlic soy sauce flavored) for takeout (weekday around dinner time). I was able to place the order fairly quickly, and was told the order should be ready in about 20-30min. Once I arrived at the restaurant, the person working at behind the counter was very friendly. I was told to wait for a few minutes as my order was about to be ready for pick up. Wings wise, these are some big wings! Both the Buffalo and the Garlic soy sauce flavored wings were perfectly seasoned, and yet not overly wet (eg. Heavily dripped with sauces). Definitely some pretty good wings in my opinion as someone who had eaten plenty of wings from many establishments. For sure a great value considering the price and the quality of the wings. From what I spent on this order, I will most likely only get half the order size at other wing places, Korean or otherwise. Will definitely order again to try other flavors. There are plenty of parking nearby the establishment as it is located in a large strip mall between Nogales and Colima. The establishment itself has plenty of seating area inside. Worth checking it out if you are craving for Korean chicken wings.

Oh boy. I've tried this place twice recently, and no no no. First time was a couple weeks ago when…read moremy family had bought us lunch to go from here. I ordered the chicken as I normally would get when going to a Thai BBQ restaurant, and I was excited to have some really good Thai food. The lunch meal came with the main entree, fried rice and a salad. The salad dressing was super watery.. and just dripped off the lettuce. Made it seem like when you're out of dressing, so you add water and shake it. Was runny, had no taste and no consistency. The fried rice was ok. It was hot, not dry, but not flavorful either. Now the chicken.. I've come to love that Thai BBQ taste, but the chicken skin didn't have that saw char look/taste as it would. The chicken itself was a little slimy as well. Made it seem like it was undercooked so I didn't really eat it. We ended up deciding to eat in here since it was near an event we had just finished. People wanted some good Thai Food, and this one was less than 1/2 mile away. I did not know at that time that this was the same location my family had bought lunch from two weeks prior. Walking in the restaurant, I could see that it is definitely outdated. When they say 'Original' Thai BBQ, they mean it. The interior looked like it was from the 80's. Maybe the tears on the booth seats gave it away? They are definitely in need of an update. As for the food, I did not get the chicken as I was skeptical from my last experience. I got my 2nd choice, which was the garlic spare ribs and white rice. Again, no no no. These spare ribs were so hard and dry the sauces couldn't even seep through it to help out. The white rice was so dry I just couldn't. I had to inform the lady who was serving us to change it to the fried rice. She had the audacity to roll her eyes. I mean so not only was the food not good, but the service was bad as well. I definitely will not be coming back or even ordering to go. There are many other restaurants in the area at the same price point that I can choose from.

The food is a small part of what I was given though, as this places service is outstanding. The owner is the sweetest lady ever, and you can tell she loves serving the people in her community. This lunch spot is in fact a STAPLE of the local area. It was very common for me coming in over the course of the month to see firefighters, postal workers, construction workers, police officers, etc. all sitting down and eating. The owner of course knew many of these people, so you know they enjoy coming in. This restaurant SERVES the community and I am not surprised at all that everyone in there enjoys the company and food. What an amazing place. Although my work has ended in Walnut, you can bet that I will be visiting next time I am out there. I hope the owner sees this and knows how much I appreciate her and her staff! I am hoping for this businesses continued success, it deserves an award or some sort of recognition.
